((Ferociously long post! Sorry sweatdrop ))
"That's not such a good idea," Aiya said quietly. "We have a much bigger problem than I had originally anticipated." She sighed and motioned the others to sit. "This will take a while to explain, so you might as well make yourselves comfortable."
She pointed at the imp. "Liran is my mother's favorite servant. Due to his small size and his ability to move between dimensions, an ability that only he is fully capable of doing, he makes a wonderful spy, assassin, whatever requires stealth. My family also has this ability, but only partially; we can't walk the paths, only enter them. The fact that they allowed Amara to use him for her purposes means that the family trusts her enough to give her whatever she wants, even an entire demon army."
Your family must have quite a bit of influence, Shreya said, cocking her head. Who are they, and how did I not know of this?
Aiya repeated the question for the others' benefit. "Because there are things that I forced myself to forget, for my own selfish reasons. I though that if I ran away, everything would be fine. But obviously, they're serious about finding and killing me now."
She studied the cracked ceiling, as if there were something utterly fascinating about it. "In my world, when twins are born, one will inevitably be good, and the other evil. I don't know why, but it's always happened without fail. Because of this, many twins are just gotten rid of as soon as they are born, so that the family won't have to bother with the embarrassment of a demon gone soft. But it's different with my family. Amara and I are the only heirs to the kingdom of Faera, and my mother can't produce any more heirs because of an accident that happened to her. And, since the throne is passed down from female to female, if my father took another wife, the child wouldn't be royal. Thus, we were spared.
"But, inevitably, I had to leave Faera and the demon world altogether. I couldn't act like a true demon, and if I stayed Amara would have killed me anyways so that she could gain the throne, since I'm the older twin by seventeen minutes. But Mother is dying, and the throne will soon be empty. So, they will help her achieve her goals in any way, whatever it may be."

(( xDDD Methinks long posts are teh awesomeness. ))
Shiro blinked in a confusion and privately sent to Hotaru, "We were with a member of a demon's royal family? How is it that we never found out about that?"
"I'm just as surprised as you are. She's still the same Aiya, though."
"I know that," he replied and took in a deep breath. "So that's why your sister wants to kill you so much. Besides, Hotaru and I like you just the way you are. You're much better than that nasty sister of yours." He smiled and then turned to Shikyo.
"Shikyo, perhaps...it would be better if you did go. Think about it. If you happened to go, Raziel might not expect it, and he might not have time to prepare. The element of surprise can be a very useful thing," he said and Hotaru chirped in agreement.

"Yes.. and we will need all the help we can get, anyways. Even if the demons that Amara summons aren't necessarily strong demons, a lot can be said for the advantage of sheer numbers. There are countless dimensions that even I don't know about." Aiya silently pleaded Shikyo to say yes.

She chuckled as Aiya finished then even harder at Shiro's comment on royalty with which they traveled. "...then this makes two royals you travel with Shiro...." she sighed softly looking off to the side. "..My brother is the fallen Archangel Raziel, one of the Seven Archangels... He fell fighting Lucifer, in turn his wings were ripped from his back in the fight... God and all of Heaven turned their backs on him.. I was studying under both Michael, Raphel and Gabriel at the time.... I loathed the first two, but Gabriel took care of me when my brother fell... then finally one day I lost it and slaughtered half the levels of Seraphim there.... They cast me out and when I fell ... in two years time I found Raziel.. he had changed horribly... he took his anger out on me, thus we were true blood siblings again through Vampiric and Angelic blood.."
She shifted the Katana on her waist and sighed oug again. "..it's not me persay he can sense, but his sword will react to mine.... Shiro..if you have any sort of cloaking spells... if you would focus it on my sword and allow me to add too it I could sneak in... but only if the sword is unable to be detected." her jade eyes lifted to the others, Mia fluttering about to her shoulder where she perched.

Shiro blinked and stared at the sheath in wonder, his eyes gleaming at the thought of tampering with a powerful weapon such as Shikyo's.
"I know you're eager to go tinkering away with that sword, but be careful," Hotaru warned, leering at him with one large yellow eye.
"Oh, what could go wrong?" he asked, beginning to think of several ways he could tamper with the internal magical energies of the sword.
"Several things..." she replied and whacked his temple with her golden beak. "Remember when you messed with that scroll last year? Your lovely blue hair seemed like it would never grow back."
"You distracting me!"
"And I suppose I distracted you while I was outside munching a snack?" she retorted primly and began to croon the feathers of her wing.
"Well...you...uhm...well..."
"That's what I thought..."
He allowed the conversation to drop without another note and turned to Shikyo. "I cannot completely cloak a magical energy from your sword, but I could alter it so that it could go unnoticed," he said and held out a hand for the weapon. "May I?"

Aiya held up a hand. "Hold on a minute. I think I have a book somewhere..." she dove back into her room and rifled through a trunk she'd never thought she'd open again, a trunk full of stuff she'd taken with her when she left home... "C'mere, you two, there's some stuff I think you'll be able to use. I don't have any use for it anyways." She lifted a couple of heavy books and a cloth out that blazed in her magical sight, and a thin, collapsable staff. For herself she stuffed a few pouches of powder into the bag at her belt.

"b***h! Shut the hell up!" this loud, gruff voice cut through her wanderings through the energies of the room. Opening her gray-blue eyes it didn't take her long to locate the voice's owner. A tall middle-aged man who had been probably been very fit and perhaps even handsome in his prime yet now was balding and had a beer gut from many nights of drinking after a long day's work. He had a woman by her wrist holding her up rather tightly from the chair which it looked like she had been just sitting in. A dark bruise under her left eye showed that she probably had been hit by this man before and was probably therefore his wife or mistress or something of that sort. Her eyes were wet with unshed tears as she looked at the man before her like how a rabbit looks at a dog, knowing any wrong move and it would be killed. He glared at her, more in drunken fury than anything else and flung her onto the small wooden table, glass plates breaking at the impact. Lilith, in one smooth motion, got up from her seat in the little alcove, grabbed her spear from its resting place and at such a fast walk she seemed to glide she had a sharp end pressed against the man's neck. He froze and his dark eyes swiveled to look at the young girl, staring down from her barefeet wrapped in bandages and going up taking in the tribal marking on her ankles, the toga-styled dress, the gold bands on her arms, and her head which only reached his nose. Then he looked into her eyes and he found he couldn't look away. Her gray-blue eyes stared back at him indifferently and then her lips curved into a mocking smile as she watched his lower lip tremble in disbelief as he finally saw her long wolf ears and the gold that adorned her. She pressed the tip of her spear a little harder into his neck so that it actually pierced his skin a bit but it worked in startling him from his shock. He swallowed noticeably before starting to speak shattering the silence that had been there ever since he had yelled but he hadn't noticed it until now: "What th-h-he hell do you think your doing?" he asked stuttering a bit but still trying to manage an indignant tone, still trying to keep up the appearance that he was a tough man and no woman could scare him. It was then that Lilith decided to talk, her smooth cold voice cutting the silence like a knife: "Well sorry sir," she began sarcastically allowing herself a cold, sardonic smile, " But I was just wondering why such a tough man like yourself would be hurting this poor woman?"As she said this she gestured with her eyes to the woman behind him on the table who was now staring in wide eyed shock at her savior. All the occupants looked at the woman for a second before they turned back on Lilith and the man who had just started speaking. "That hoe-e-e had it coming to her," And although he also said this with a stutter he managed a tone of disgust. "Well I'm sure you could be a little bit more civilized to the young lady then how you just were, you should apologize to her," Lilith said in her calm even tone still with her spear pointed at the man's neck. The man had obviously had enough of this and his pride got the better of his fright: this was a woman and he wasn't about to be embarrassed in front of all his buddies for being pushed around by a girl. Then in his loudest, most arrogant voice he stated, "This is my ******** wife and I can treat her however the hell I want too and I won't have any young b***h coming around telling me how to run my wife!" And that was just the wrong thing to say; Lilith's eyes flashed for a second and in one even motion she slid the spear so the smooth part was against his neck and flipped the man with her spear over her shoulder and sent him crashing into the wall behind her. The rest of the occupants stared in awe and fear at the young woman and then at the pile of the man who was now laying on the floor unconscious. Lilith walked over to the woman who had just been staring at her husband then turned to look at Lilith as walked towards her. The woman flinched as Lilith got closer scared now what the girl would do to her. Smiling kindly Lilith held out her hand, "Are you alright?" The woman shook her head in disbelief and took Lilith's outstretched hand and felt herself easily pulled onto her feet. "Yes mam' I'm fine just a few little bruises here and there,"she said her accent like most of the poor peasant of this town. Lilith smiled gratefully as she ran a hand through her hair in relief, "Well that's good I was worried for a second," the woman couldn't help but stare at Lilith in wide-eyed wonderment as she talked, "Well here,"she handed the woman a little bundle of leaves and herbs, "Mash these together with hot water and put it on those bruises and by the next day those bruises will be as if they had never been there. And here take this," saying this she handed her a little bag that jingled as she held out to her. The wife grabbed it hesistantly then pulled open the draw string and gasped in pleasant suprise. It was a bag full of gold coins. "Mam... yo-u-u don't have to do this, I'll be fine with what I got and and," the woman started rambling off too amazed and happy to really know what to say. Lilith laughed a little, "I'm sure that no good husband of yours was using it all on drinks, huh?" she said winking at the lady, "Plus you deserve it for all the troubles you went through with him." The lady too astonished to say anything wrapped her arms tightly around Lilith practically crying as she held the young woman. Lilith eyes widened at this and she awkwardly patted the woman's back, "There, there no trouble at all..." The wife gave her one more squeeze before skipping out of the bar forgetting all about her poor husband and running to go tell all her friends about her good fortune and the young angel that had saved her. Lilith smiled then noticed all the bar occupants staring at her. Looking coldly at them she picked up all the broken dishes, through them away and went to go back sit down in her little alcove. At first there was silence as everyone still stared to see if anything else was going to happen then figuring it wouldn't they slowly but surely started talking again until it was like the incident never happened.

The farm sat on the edge of a forest not to far outside civilization. Large fields of corn and wheat crops stood tall, swaying lightly in the wind. A family dwelled on the farm and sat outside, milling about and generally doing whatever families do when they spend a day outside. Little did they know that at the edge of the fields, a dark presence approched. It moved through the fields, drawn to the life essence of the family like a predator to its prey. It was not long before the family noticed the approaching threat. They could see a pathway being made through the fields, though it was not made by physical force. Rather a dark aura was pushing the wheat out of the way before it could touch the cause of the evil force. By the time they laid eyes on the being causing the disturbance, they all fell to the gropund clutching themselves. Within moments their life was sucked from their bodies leaving them lifeless. moments after, the now dead corpses rose from their feet and shambled near the assailant. A figure dressed in dark plate armour with a design that could instill fear just by its appearence. A hood obstructed any chance at seeing the physical features of the being's face ... but Zaelphus wanted it that way. He did not care for others to see what he looked like, it did not matter, his armour alone would be enough. The family he had killed and risen again were among a few he had created from other farmers, travlelers, bandit and whoever else crossed his path. His destination being the settlement he knew was not that far away, a settlement that had a certain creature he was searching for. He cointinued to move towards the town, his group of fourteen corpses following behind him.

Leaping through the treetops, Matthew suddenly kicked out his heels, stopping short against a shuddering tree limb. Covering his mouth and nostrils against the breeze, he resisted the natural gag reflex that followed such a scent. If death itself had concentrated into one solid unit could it not have brought a more unpleasant aroma before his senses. It make his eyes water, and nostrils burn. Even his ears began to ring.
Giving his silver tail a fierce flick, he balanced his body with the appendage as he spread his legs, unhitching his bow from about his shoulders to caress the handle with an ebony arrow. Pushing aside the reek of death, he squinted with sharp eyes, seeking out the cause through the dense foliage, ears perked to the slightest sound on the breeze.

The life that Zaelphus sensed in the approaching settlement was growing stronger. He even picjked up on a being nearby that could be watching him or just passing by. Either way he decided to give the nearby observer, and even those with sharp eyes in the approching town, an interesting show. Spreading his arms out he strengthened his aura so that as he touched any form of plant life, it would begin to decay. Bushes, flowers, weeds all turned to a brown colour and shrivled to the ground lifeless. Trees that he passed lost there leaves and let out an audible grown as they sagged and died. His elemental part could feel the spirits of the wodds cry out in agony at waht he was doing. But he no longer cared, with what he has become their cries may have fallen on deaf ears. It was as though he were the very beings he fought before his change, when he fought to preserve the life of the planet from the progress of 'civilaztion'. He chuckled at the thought, but still did not care as a path of dead plants and wildlife was left behind him. His undead followers shambled on behind him, ignoring the dying dying surroundings. Some even bent down to pick up a rock or club if they were not armed. The weapons meant little on their own they were stronger normal. Zaelphus hoped to creat more when they approached the settlement where he felt the pheonix's. Thinking about how he would at last be able to face the creatures excited him. He wanted to destroy them and thos ethey belonged to, good or evil. The prophecy which he knew was to be at hand meant little to him, it was something he despised. Prophecy, espeacially when including the pheonix, was something he wanted to prevent. Everything involving them and all life on this world had to die.

With a wolvish grin, Matthew leaned back, allowing gravity to build his momentum before kicking away from the tree with explosive force, his single angle suddenly join by two more in a flourish as he flew back through the air away from the onset of decay. With a ferocious buzz, the shafts left the bow like wingless falcons, flawlessly aimed at the Necromancer and two of his shamblers. Though he had yet to make out his opressor's gender, he could easilly dictate the emanating ties of death that surrounded the figure. Catching his feet on a tree branch, three more arrows shot out of the covering treetops at the black thing as the young lycanthrope continued his evasive assault.

The moment he felt the nearby presence of life move at fast speeds, Zaelphus expected an attack so he naturally erected a barrier around himself. As an arrow bolt hit the barrier it decayed enough to lose its strength and much of its momentum. The projectiles aimed at him either missed or were deflected off his plate armour. With the barrier around him and the demonic enchants on his armour, a few arrows were not going to stop him. However the corpses that followed him could be easily stopped, already one had suffered enough damage to render it useless to him. While a secound was soon to join the first. In order to prevent further damage to his undead followers, he made them all lifless again with a wave of his hand. Wishing to deal with his assailant he sought cover behind a tree that had not completely decayed yet. Placing his right hand on the ground he began to speak in a very crude, guterly demonic tongue. Focusing on where he felt the assailants life force he sent bolts of undead energy undergound. Everything in the bolts pathway would decay at the roots, causing any plant or wildlife to die. Zaelphus felt he could assume that the assailant was using the trees for cover based on the quick movements. So if the attacker had no trees nearby to stand on, they would be forced further and further back ... or face Zaelphus up close.

((I'm going to be the only one not sorry for a long post ^_^ I love them)) Alshrianity sat on her porch and pulled at the top of her boots. She threaded the laces through and pulled so that her boot was laced tight around her upper calf, doing the same to the other boot. She stood up and picked her bow and arrow off the chair, her bag of reserves and other tools she may need in her other hand. She slung the quiver for her arrows over her shoulder and attached the bow to her back underneath the quiver. Taking a deep breath, she was finally ready. Many other elves that were taking the same quest had been sending her invites, asking her to join them on their quest for the eggs. She had turned them all down and sent their notes back to them, except for Garrick's letter. She kept his for personal reasons.
She stepped down from her porch and began to head to the edge of town. A faint voice stopped her in her tracks. "Alsh!" the male's voice called out again. She turned around and Garrick was standing before her. He tossed her a package and without another word, he left. Alsh had caught the package with her one free hand and put it in her sack instantly. She was behind schedule already and should have left her village hours ago. Although she didn't mind being delayed by Garrick, she decided that she must hurry to the first place she had planned to camp before the moon had gotten to its peak.---At Camp--- Alsh sat at the edge of her fire, poking at it to keep it lit. She took a drink from her deer skin flask of which she held the purest water from the river that circled almost halfway around her village. She got up and laid out a blanket for her to lay down on. She used her sack as a pillow and slept.---The Next Morning--- The sun was peaking over the hills, the few rays landing on Alsh's face. She woke up, squinting her eyes from the bright sun. The fire had deminished, so she took the pit apart. She finished picking up camp and went on her way again. Not planning on stopping till she got to her next destination.

Leaping out of the treetops at a declining angle, Matthew smiled in spite of himself. Reaching into the bag at his hip, he drew his black-gloved fingertips across his teeth, wetting the leather slightly. Smoothing the tails of his ninth-last arrow, he knelt and closed an eye, drawing the ebony shaft back with a steady breath.
Releasing the projectile with a fierce buzz, he mentally tracked it's trail between the man's legs. Keeping his teeth locked together, not dropping the bow after the shot, he listened for an impact. Silver tail waving slowly from side to side, he kept his eyes perfectly forward, his entire body going still as he pressed his heels together. 'So... he dropped the zombie ploy...' He sniffed, the wind flicking his bangs to dance before his clear blue eyes.

Alsh followed the road, looking about in all directions. She was walking in open plains, keeping her dagger in her hand. She was in Ogre territory now and she knew she had to be cautious. She came to a hill, and when she got to the top, she ducked down to make sure no one was over the hill. Sure enough, no one was in sight, so she continued on.
Further down the road, trees came into view. She was ready to leave the plains. Just as she entered the trees, she heard steps behind her that seemed to make the ground shake. She climbed into a tree and saw three Ogres. They stopped at the trees and looked around for a bit as though they were looking for someone.
"I thought you said she would be here?" one of them asked.
The other just shrugged, "Maybe my scouts were wrong. Or, perhaps she's just quick. You know how those elves are. Always coming into our territory as if they own the place." The other two Ogres grunted in disaproval and the three left. Ogres weren't always the smartest of creatures, but they sure were strong. Alshrianity would have no chance against them. Not unless she was far enough away to use her targeting for her bow and arrow.
