The night before the Hongshan was brutally attacked, Mizuka was planning to leave home. He got into a terrible argument with his sister and turned to bid their parents goodbye. But by the time he tried to leave, the attack was already underway. He fought with the best of them, but was struck down and captured with the rest of the Hongshan lions. When their leader proposed an escape, he and his sister fled and found themselves in the Motoujamii. Because of his rocky relationship with his sister, Mizuka feels himself something of an outsider, both to his own pride and his new one. He can occasionally come across as self-centered or cowardly, but he is desperate to prove himself worthy to their leader.

Since the beginning, Amedia has opposed her mother. Although every bit as powerful as the other goddess, Amedia often shrunk away from direct conflict. In fact, much of her life was spent in hiding from other gods, and even mortals at times. She feared that her powers were too weighty, and was troubled by the need to save everyone but the inability to choose correctly. She eventually became very attached to a young cub she rescued from a plague, and hoped that her healing would bring him a full, good life. Instead she watched him molded into a warrior, and watched him become jaded and bitter. She tried several times to make his life better, failing each time. Eventually she took on a mortal form, and tried to direct him personally. In the end, she ended up falling in love with him. Amedia lives with her mate in the Ela lands- and has recently given up her divinity in order to not outlive her mate.

Although initially agitated by her strange, dreamy disposition, he was struck by her genuine goodness. As they grew older, they took residency in the Elad'waydi pride, where he finally married her. Unbeknownst to Amedia, he is actually very much aware of her past-deity status. Although old and a bit sour, he's genuinely a noble soul.

Once upon a time, Yoan was a lion. He came from a small family who claimed to be descended from great warriors. When he was an adult, he decided to travel the lands, and find this ancient pride. Instead, he met Elcca. Yoan fell in love with Elcca's wild nature and mysticism, and hoped that his influence could keep her from getting into too much trouble.
Unfortunately, keeping Elcca out of trouble was a difficult task. A task that earned him a cruel reward: he intercepted a fatal curse meant for his mate, and within a week lay dying.
...but not exactly. Before he died, Yoan was offered a final blessing from Hestia, the goddess of birds. He could either die, or continue his life in a new form. Believing that he could still do good, Yoan accepted the blessing and was transformed into a crow.
While Yoan may have once been a lion, he rarely introduces himself as such. Most will see him as a surprisingly apt crow, perhaps even magical.

Nara hasn't had an easy life. Born to a mother who sold her out before she was even weaned, Nara grew up a wild orphan. She doesn't play fair, and starting s**t might as well be her main occupation. Her grand dream is to control a part of the savannah, but so far she has only occupied a small termite mound for about a day and a half.
