xxxThat did it. In one swift motion, Raven had the front of Xamthos' shirt collar in her balled fist as she was raising him up off the ground, her eye flashing a dangerous Yellow/Red color."You dare doubt me? Do you know why I stayed Brother? To put that ******** Cat in his damn place. The Damn Shinigami wouldn't let us leave to fight. The Cat wasn't going to so easily allow all of us to leave. And do you know what your little stunt nearly caused? Mine and Kiyoshi's death. Right as you escaped, the Enjitsu warped into a black hole. I wasn't going to originally fight the Shinigami."She spat as she gave him her worst death glare."You're arrogance has irritated me for the last time. You think you know better? Don't forget why I was chosen the leader and not YOU."She said before dropping him and pacing off."You want to leave so ******** bad? Go. But don't think any of us will come to save your ******** a** once the Shinigami find you and decide to rip a new one in you."She said as she turned her back to him, shaking with Anger."And Don't any of you try and stop him either. I won't have a traitor in our mists anyways. If you leave, you are no longer our brother and shall be seen as an enemy when I see you once again. I won't hold back. The choice is yours Xamthos."She said, spitting Venom with his name. She was very well ready for a surprise attack as she still had her back to him. She was listening for it. Any other day and she might have just beat the tar out of him to prove a point. But this wasn't the old times. She would take no quarter in this matter.

Lewis Carroll Hatter, Adviser, Madman
While the Katena began to fight among themselves, the Hatter's mutterings began to grow louder. That wasn't all that happened either. What he was saying went from pained insanity to barking attempts at ordering them. "Be quiet, be quiet." It started, softly like his whispers, but escalated rather swiftly, his temper seeming to explode, and correct the well being of his mind. "Shut up, Shut up, shutupshutupshutup!" Carroll shouted, tearing at his hair a bit, standing up as his energy spiked with his outburst. Although he remained standing, it seemed the fix that had brought him to a boil had only been incredibly temporary. But, just from looking at him, it also seemed to alleviate some pressure, his watch hanging from his side, swinging a bit as he shook all over. "You're making it worse. I can see it, tearing the beating life out of everyone. A great void, black as night emitting from a hole that's pure white. How... how is doom so brilliantly painted on a canvas stained in such ways... like ink writing masterpieces across sullied paper." Still standing, crying, tears fell from his chin but something came that was unexpected, most of all to the Hatter. It was something he had never heard; his watch, which had started again with his brief tirade, struck twelve and pierced the air with a shrill ding! The noise, for some reason, set him off again, his eyes drying up as he fell to his knees, holding his face with his hands. "I can see it... somewhere this sinful tree lurks.... and it's so near."
Xamthos, as Raven picked him up, stayed silent but if looks could kill then she would have keeled over right there. His glare was matching hers in intensity as she defended herself. Finally, he was dropped. Landing on his feet without even thinking about it, he saw she'd turned her back to him. It was insult, dismissal, and dare to try and attack all at once. But Xamthos knew better. If it came to blows, he knew it would not end well. More importantly though, Xamthos knew that she was not worth his time.
Now, he could have told them all exactly what he was about to do...but that would give them too much time to prepare. He could try and take the Hatter, but the man was too far away to try and grab and Xamthos could only open one Enjitsu at a time. Even if he opened one after he got out, he had no way of knowing if the Hatter would still be in that spot. No, it was simply too much to risk.
He was positively quivering with rage, and small patches of blue fur were threatening to poke out from his skin in various places. But he kept it in check. Barely. What he did do was he opened his Enjitsu directly underneath himself and dropped down through it. It was always his preferred method of using it. The hole this time was literally no bigger than Xamthos's own body and even before he was all the way through, it began to close. In short, there was literally no way for anyone to know where he'd just gone. One thing was certain though...the Katena were now officially minus one.
"You know those dogs whose bark is worse than their bite?
.•:´¨•☆•.¸¸.•´´¯`• •´¯`´•.¸¸.•☆ •¨´:•.
Kiyoshi sat silently as Xamthos and Raven started to argue. Xamthos was right, it was his idea not to draw blood first and speak with the Sinigami. But how could they? The Katena had been sleeping for thousands of years. In those years all they had to think about was how the Shinigami had rooted them from their homes and forced them into the Heavens. What was the first thing they would want when they awakened? to shair and play nice with the Shinigami? No, that was never going to happen. It was something deep inside that made Kiyoshi know, peace would never come first.
Kiyoshi looked towards Raven as she dashed forward, grabbed Xamthos and hoisted him into the air. Kiyoshi listened as she explained why she stayed. She stayed to fight the Cat, to put him in his place for what he had done so many years ago. But was it really worth it? Was it the time to reopen this wound and throw their entire plan to the wind? The Dog Katena did not know. What he did know however was that his family was struggling. As Kiyoshi continued to listen to Ravens words, he began shaking. Raven turned to he and Faun with such anger in her eyes. She told them not to interfere if Xamthos decided to leave.
Kiyoshi gritted his teeth and rubbed his hands against his arms. When Raven spoke that if Xamthos left he would not be their brother anymore, Kiyoshi lost it. Kiyoshi let out a scream that followed with a gigantic release of Reiatsu. The release of energy blew the loose dirt around them into the air. As the dust settled, the light blue haired boy was gone. In his spot now sat a Gigantic blue wolf that over overlooked both the monkey and the Dragon still engaged in their squabble. Kiyoshi let out an ear piercing Howl that shook the area. When it was finished, Kiyoshi looked down to his Siblings.
"WE ARE THE KATENA! WE ARE THE FIRST. WE GUIDE THE SOULS OF THE AFTERLIFE. THEIR ARE 12 OF US. WE ARE THE RAT, OX, TIGER, RABBIT, DRAGON, SNAKE, HORSE, SHEEP, MONKEY, ROOSTER, DOG AND PIG. WE WERE BORN TOGETHER AND TOGETHER WE REMAIN. WE SQUABBLE AND FIGHT, BUT LIKE BEFORE WE REMAIN STRONG. LOOK WHAT THIS HAS DONE TO US? RAVEN, YOU WOULD LOOSE XAMTHOS BECAUSE YOU HAVE OPPOSING IDEALS?! YOU ARE BIGGER THAN THAT SISTER, DO NOT TAKE EVERYTHING ON BY YOURSELF WHEN WE ARE HERE TO ASSIST YOU". Kiyoshi looked over to Xamthos. "AND XAMTHOS. YOU WOULD CHALANGE RAVEN BECAUSE THE PLAN DID NOT GO AS INTENDED? DO NOT THINK RAVEN DID NOT HAVE THE KATENA'S BEST INTEREST AT HEART, SHE HAS AND WILL DO WHAT IS BEST FOR OUR FAMILY, AS I KNOW YOU DO AS WELL". It was not like Kiyoshi to speak up in such a manor. Kiyoshi always went with the flow and decisions from his family. However, he would not be silenced by Raven while she let his brother leave them forever. He cared more for them than that. What he hoped was that they could see that too.
As Xamthos opened up a Enjitsu, Kiyoshi looked to him, almost as if trying to peer into his brothers soul. As his brother stepped through the portal, Kiyoshi's heart sank in his chest. As the Portal dissipated, Kiyoshi let out another ear shattering howl, but this one was of obvious pain.

...Well, you will quickly find out that I am not one of those dogs..."
When the sparks fly during battle Our memories are cast through them
Faun observed the argument without interfering. Of all of them, Faun understood Xamthos's position the best. Attempting to negotiate peace is what… Faun rubbed her throat thinking about that. There could be no negotiation. The shinigami are failed creations, incapable of dealing in good faith. His views are idealistic, but not realistic. Give the shinigami an opening and they'll only use it to slit your throat.
She watched Xamthos leave, and Kiyoshi's anguish. For Raven, Faun felt nothing but love and loyalty, however she felt that her handling had been… undiplomatic at best. Raven is poisoned, and aggravated, and tired; not the best frame of mind to be in when dealing with someone as reactive as Xamthos. Faun walked up to Raven, put both hands on her shoulders, and looked her dead in the eyes. The expression said it all: Rest. Calm down and rest. You aren't in any condition to be carrying on like this right now.
Those sparks are everything In them, I can see Life
((Faun's not ignoring Hatter per se, it's more that she's tuned him out to deal with what she sees as more important matters. As a side note, Faun doesn't realize Xamthos intends to join the shinigami; the idea that he really did intend to betray them is one that would never occur to her. She thinks he's stalked off somewhere to cool down))

xxxRaven turned her back to everyone and continued to shake in what could be considered anger. In reality, tears were running down her cheeks."You Stupid, Stupid Idiot."She mumbled as Xamthos left. She heard Kiyoshi and it just made her tears worse. But she wasn't going to allow them to see her so weak. She moved her hands up and wiped her eyes in an attempt to stop crying as Faun put her hands on her shoulders and looked her in her eyes. She bit her bottom lip and attempted to control her emotions."Right. I don't really need this right now."She said as she walked off a bit from them to find a place to sleep. Though she was stopped dead in her tracks as she heard the hatter. As he said something about a tree, an image flashed across her vision and she quickly turned, walking over to him."The Tree. How do you know about the tree? Where is it?"She asked rather quickly before realizing that she would have to get his attention another way. She took a deep breath before back-handing Carroll across the face."You are going to tell me everything you know about that Tree. I'm done messing around. To many mistakes have already been made."She said as she glared at him hard. It didn't take her much to realize that in that state, all he would respond to was force.
The Hatter laughed, interrupted by a brisk, unwarranted slap on the face. He continued to laugh, looking up at the dragon. He had watched everything from the side lines. The comfort of the horned woman, the rage of the dog creature that had been Kiyoshi, and of course, the emotional rage of this other girl, the one with raven black hair. And what was the reason for this slap to the face? A tree. A freaking tree. "I don't know anything about it." He said. Still rattled obviously, but he was at least firm in voice. Perhaps she had slapped him full of sense, rather than senseless. Tears stained his cheeks, but it seemed the break down was suddenly over, a madman at his finest. He reached down looking at his watch. The hands still rested at twelve. They weren't moving at all. He shook it, frowning, finding he couldn't get the damned thing to move at all. It was a few moments of silence before he began again. "In case you haven't noticed, I'm not all there in the head. It's the reason I'm no Shinigami anymore." He looked her in the eyes, a bit of hatred, a bit of rage and anger an maybe even a little envy. But all of it were foul and bottled up emotions hidden behind a smile, a cheshire smile that creased his face. "So in other words, I was just a blathering madman for a moment. I don't even really remember what i was talking about."
It had only been hours after the Katena originally left for Karajura Town for their objective, and yet to a certain Horse, it felt like days. He remembered his sisters stepping through his Enjitsusen, and he himself entering it as well, then a void of darkness. The portal collapsed on itself while he was traversing the dimensions, and he had ended up trapped in some sort of limbo, so to speak. He had not known why his Enjitsu would become destabilized, perhaps he hadn’t produced enough energy, maybe he was out of practice due to being sleep, he didn’t know. What he did know, however, was that his subsequent attempts to create another portal had failed, and that he was stuck there until he could figure out how to escape. With their mission at hand, he was sure his fellow Katena would not think to search for him, at least not while they had an established objective. Their telepathy only worked in close proximity with each other, so communication was out of the question. He took to meditating with his Zanpakutou in the meantime; even if Shurio-en could not give him answers on how to escape his predicament; Endou appreciated the fact that he technically wasn’t alone in his limbo, and he could regain his combative knowledge from sparring with his Zanpakutou. His training with his Zanpakutou had given him his full set of skills that he had lost to sleep and being out of practice. But it would do him no good if he were trapped in there for the rest of his eternal lifetime, unable to help or even see his fellow brethren.
He thought of the other Katena, lamenting the fact that he wasn’t there with them. He thought of Kiyoshi in particular, remembering that he had been caught in the crossfire and taken by those damned Shinigami. He wondered if the Dog was okay, if Raven and Faun were able to get him back. He wondered if Raven’s plan was successful and if it had gone on without a hitch like he wanted it to. He wondered if any other Katena had awoken, or was it just the four of them still? The captivity was getting to him and making his mind wander too much. He was getting frustrated at being held captive by his own negligence. Angry, in fact. The anger was seeping inside of him, growing, powered by many factors and the thoughts plaguing his mind. In order to vent his rage, he swung his right arm to the side, akin to slamming it onto a surface; sending a blast of fiery orange reiatsu to careen in the void of black until it dispersed, as if it had hit an invisible wall. He momentarily calmed down in order to investigate such an oddity. He made his way to where he saw his reiatsu collide and pressed his hands up into the darkness of the void in front of him, feeling some type of field or wall on his fingertips. Could he break through and end up somewhere else? It was worth a shot, and his Zanpakutou agreed with him. He began punching with his fists cloaked in orange reiatsu, to no avail. Still, he did not cease his assault, kicking and firing Hado in order to try and get through. He had used Hado number 88 after reciting the full incantion, firing a huge ray of luminous electric reiatsu that collided against the “wall” and pushed him back. Once the remains of his reiatsu cleared away, he could see a small crack in the air of the void, contrasting the black around it. He looked closely at the crack, and could slightly see through it, just a little bit. It was Yggdrasil! His idea, though blunt and straightforward, had been working, and this awarded him new fervor to escape. He whispered his favorite incantation as his body was covered in sun-colored flames, becoming his true form. He turned around from the crack and pointed his hind legs towards it, charging up fire and energy within his hooves. “Kazan!” he yelled, unleashing the pent of power of his flames into the crack, causing it to grow huge, its size increased both vertically and horizontally. He turned around towards the huge crack, ready to escape. He galloped forward and charged, his body covered with fiery energy as he crashed through the dimensional break.
In Yggdrasil, a point in the sky would have shattered like glass as the 40 foot form of Endou crashed through, trails of fire curling off if his body, his molten skin intense enough to color the sky orange with his arrival. He’d fall towards the ground in an arc, gradually shrinking his size until he was the size of a normal horse, so that his landing was not as destructive as last time. He landed gracefully near the rivers of Yggdrasil, transforming back into his Shinigami form and dropping to the ground in exhaustion. Escaping took a lot out of him, but he couldn’t rest for long. He needed to make his way back to his fellow Katena if they were still in Yggdrasil. He would use Shunpo to get to the top of a high tree, and then use his eyesight to find his comrades. Spotting them, he used his long distance shunpos to get closer to them, and began to walk the rest of the way. ‘I’m back,’ he mentioned through use of the Katena’s telepathy, since he wasn’t yet close enough to speak verbally to them. He did notice Kiyoshi’s presence on the telepathic wavelength, and that brought joy to the horse. It looked like Raven and Faun were successful. He’d get into the details once he had caught his breath, he decided, as he finally arrived and took a seat against a tree near them. He knew they would ask, and might’ve even been angry with him because of his absence, so he preemptively answered the ‘where were you’ that he knew would be coming up. “My Enjitsusen collapsed on itself, trapping me between dimensions. I had to force my way out, I’m not sure if Yggdrasil will be able to repair that kind of damage.” He looked up to the dimensional tear he caused as if to drew attention towards it, knowing that it was his fault. If their world died before they were able to reclaim what was once theirs, then he would be to blame. He looked around at each Katena, noticing no expressions of triumph or joy. He offhandedly noticed the Shinigami in their company as well, but paid him no mind. He wanted to know what went on in his absence. “What happened while I was gone, Rae?”
xxxRaven was about to murder the Shinigami in front of her when something made her stop. He eyes widened as she felt Endou and she whirled around, The Hatter completely forgotten. She watched him come down in his Kochaku form before returning to his human form, and spotting them before coming over. He answered the first set of questions that were going to leave her lips as he arrived. She shook her head at that before hearing his question. Immediately her face fell as her bangs moved over her eyes."Guess I better start from the beginning then."She said as she walked over to the tree he was at and leaned against the opposite side so he wouldn't see her if she started crying again."I managed to capture that Shinigami with no problems. There wasn't any interference and he came without a struggle. I went to Seiretei to initiate the trade. That's where things fell a part. I found Xamthos already there. Why? I have no clue. I waited for a while before moving to the place the blonde guy who took Kiyoshi was."She said before pausing to get her thoughts together."Between me and Xamthos we managed to get Kiyoshi out of his hands, but he wasn't willing to let us go easily. Xamthos tried to create an Enjitsu that would get us to safety quickly, but something went awry right after he made his escape and Me and Kiyoshi got trapped. I didn't how we were going to get out until the Cat appeared. He allowed the release of Kiyoshi from his bonds and I sent Kiyoshi back, planning to take care of the cat."She explained further as an annoyed expression crossed her face."The Shinigami just didn't know when to leave well enough alone They wouldn't let me and the Cat go off, so I was forced into a battle with them where I was forced to reveal my true form. That one Shinigami though. He used some kind of poison that rendered me helpless once he activated it."She said holding her head a bit as it throbbed at the memory. The headache was almost gone now. She still wasn't fully recovered though."Faun and Kiyoshi came and got me after that. We traveled back here, where things once again went downhill. Xamthos was furious with me. Maybe I haven't really been acting like much of a leader. Maybe I was being a bit compulsive. He just doesn't understand that everything I did was for you guys. I'm always trying to protect you. Anyways, he left and hasn't come back yet. I dunno if he will."She finished as she slid down the tree until she was in a sitting position and covered her face with her hands as the tears started to flow again. Her whole body shook with emotion as everything just finally caught up with her.

Kiyoshi sat alone inside the forests of the Yggdrasil. Still in his Kokachu form he laid with his head down over his arms, his legs out from under him, and his tail as still as the grave. Soft breathing and little noises could be heard coming from the large dog, impossible to understand of course. However, in the dog mind there was an explosion of thoughts happening. 'Why did Xamthos leave? Where was he going to go? Would he be alone forever? Why did he have to go?' Kiyoshi's head shook.
'I bet I could go find him. He probably went to the Human World. I know, I'll bring him a banana, he always liked that... Wait... What if he went to the Shinigami!? wait...he wouldn't do that. No it's just his temper...He will come back, he always comes back...just like us.' Kiyoshi's head shook again. 'But he left! Why would he go?! No it's not right! It's not right!'
Kiyoshi opened his eyes and got to his feet. Again he let out a large Howl that shook the surrounding area of the Yggdrasil."IT'S NOT RIGHT!!" Kiyoshi screamed as his Kokachu body began tearing down the surrounding trees and anything else that got in his path in a fit of rage. Kiyoshi's rage was only interrupted by a couple new smells entering his oversensitive nose. He smelled first, Endou's return back to the Yggdrasil, but second, he smelled the salt in Ravens tears, he heard her sobbing. In that instant, Kiyoshi's rage subsided. Opening up a tear in the wold with his claws, Kiyoshi stepped through and reappeared beside Raven and Endou.
'Raven it's ok.' Kiyoshi spoke telepathically to his sister. In his release form, Kiyoshi pushed himself between Raven and the tree she was laying on so that she was now laying on him instead. Kiyoshi rubbed his head against Ravens arm to comfort her.
"Xamthos left us Endou. We still have that Hatter over there, but I dont know how much use he can be for us".

Lewis Carroll Hatter, Adviser, Madman
The reunion was joined by tears and howls. Apparently these people, the enemy of the Shinigami were also a tight knit sort of family, so just having a fight like this was a big deal. All it made the Hatter do is laugh. He couldn't help it really, the scene before him was so unexpectedly touching compared to the monstrosities he had always heard about others dealing with. "Hehehehahahahahahah! I'm sorry, this is just too much for me." He stood, wiping a tear from his face. "But you're acting so emotional for a loss that is so small. Though, your forces are lesser than our own." He added in, waving a bit, his body seeming a tad unbalanced. He didn't know who this newest addition was, but it was someone he hadn't met before. But that didn't matter, his attention was on the sobbing girl, Rae as she had been called. "Do you remember? You led me here with a riddle, a game. Allow me to offer one of my own, girl." He chuckled, the sound normal but filled with an undertone of loose grips upon sanity. "When consumed by rage, one man tears a family tight knit apart with one deed. What hath he done?" The Hatter's mouth curved into a wicked smile. "The answer of course, is Betrayal, and as my job dictates to advise, you would be foolish to not expect such actions and prepare for them." He didn't bother adding he could be wrong, but encouraging them into another invasion could be fun, if he could manage it.
Slightly hunched over and still hatless, he waited a bit as if to give them a brief time to mull over his words. That was when he heard it. His watch was ticking again! Yes, perfect, wonderful! He began to laugh again, that ticking getting a bit too loud for a watch that size. "Now then," his laughter stopped somewhat abruptly as he collected himself. "I am an Advisor, it is what I do. That being said, I know very small amounts of information on most of the Captains. Not as much as the other.... Xamthos, knew about you all, I'm sure, but perhaps enough to warn you on who to fight and who to flee from." Again, another silence, as if he was deciding how to arrange his words. Once he found it, he spoke again. "That being said, I offer you my game, raven haired girl. A guessing game. I take it you wish to see that Xamthos has not betrayed you? Well I guess that he has." Paced silence. He was definitely doing it on purpose. "If that is truly the case, you need someone with some information, and here I am a helpless prisoner, but I do equal out the game board a bit don't I?"
Another slight chuckle. "Oh and don't worry, there's prizes too! If I win, I walk free, simple as that." Another timed pause, perhaps one too many. "If I lose, I'll further help you out, how's that sound?" He asked, making a gesture to the group before him. "But before I'll even consider playing the game, no more hiding from each other yes? I want titles and names and nothing more from each of you. Of course, in good graces, I'll go first." He smiled, bending down, picking up his hat and dusting it off. He only went first because he doubted he'd have a choice, it was simple as that. "They call me the Hatter in the Seireitei, or even the Mad Hatter. Such is my title, as I am the Advisor of the Gotei Thirteen and their members. However, before that I had a much more.... despised name." He chuckled, reminiscing on the past some, fingers dancing lightly on the brim of his hat as he put it on. "I am Lewis Carroll, Adviser, Madman, Hatter, and most importantly to you lot, the Former Captain of Division Five of the Gotei Thirteen." he finished, bowing deeply, hand holding that hat to his head as he tilted his chin upwards, eyeing the reaction of his "audience" as well as awaiting their own introductions.

Faun Goat Katena
When the sparks fly during battle Our memories are cast through them
It was good to see Endou again, she had been wondering in the back of her head where in blazes he'd gone off to. With Endou here, perhaps they could split up and find Xamthos. She knew he probably needed some time to calm down, but after smashing up the seireitei as they did, the shinigami were likely to be on high alert; much like ants after you kick over the mound. It would be bad to get caught alone in that sort of situation. She moved to begin the usual game of charades needed to convey her thoughts when Hatter began laughing. Laughing. He was laughing. Laughing at their troubles. This shinigami mocked them!
Faun trembled with barely suppressed rage. He intended to take advantage of them by implying that... that Xamthos would betray them? Betray them to the shinigami?!? How DARE he? How dare he How dare he How dare he How dare he How dare he?!? Faun's left hand wrapped around the grip of her sword. Her thoughts were stripped clean of all thoughts of hostages and diplomacy, the fire Hatter lit with his words only cared for a single thing. With one step, she moved toward the Hatter. Then another. Soon more steps followed until she was advancing at full walking speed, sword unsheathed, prepared to end Hatter's babble with six inches of steel between his heart and his colon.
Those sparks are everything In them, I can see Life
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Endou took in all of Raven’s words with a myriad of resulting reactions and emotions, his mind in some sort of turmoil due to not being able to decide on exactly how he felt about everything. For one, he was pleased that Raven managed to obtain a Shinigami flawlessly, and even more pleased that they managed to recover Kiyoshi without having to give up their capture. Xamthos’ presence, however, had baffled him. What the hell was one of their numbers doing inside the Seireitei without even contacting any of the other Katena beforehand? There was something odd about that, Endou would explore that later with his brethren once they had reached a neutral point in their discussion. He was annoyed when she mentioned the Shinari they had come in contact with before; he had quite a bit of disdain for the kid due to his persistence in trying to hurt and capture Raven and visually scowled when he was referenced. Throughout her describing of the events that led to Kiyoshi’s escape, he slammed his fist into the tree he was resting on, succeeding only in damaging the skin of his own hand due to the lack of reiatsu covering it. It was the least he could do to punish himself for not being there when the Katena needed the help. He was about to hit the tree again when she mentioned the Cat, and this literally made Endou bite his tongue in surprise as he was about to apologize to those present. “The Cat?!? I thought he was dead!?” When he had first awoken, he hadn’t remembered that they had a 13th member long ago, but his time in his Enjitsu-caused captivity allowed him to regain all of his memories. He had seen the Cat die in the Great War of olden times. What was he doing alive and in the Seireitei? Endou frowned, but forced himself to continue listening to his sister instead of being distracting by all the thoughts in his head. The poison worried him, as old as they were; they would still be vulnerable to poisons, especially those of this new age. If it could affect Raven in her true form, then its range must have been grand, and certainly powerful enough to inhibit someone as powerful of his sister. Thinking about it, perhaps the heated aura of his true form and the metallic qualities of Faun’s would protect against the poison, but he wouldn’t count on it.
He heard her begin to cry after mentioning Xamthos’ departure, and was about to move to comfort her when Kiyoshi had appeared in his true form and done exactly that. The Dog’s presence made Endou smile, though not for long as he could feel the raw emotions from both he and Raven. Mentally, he raised an eyebrow, Kiyoshi’s comment on Xamthos’ easy departure combining with his aforementioned presence inside Seireitei in order to form an even stronger suspicion on the Monkey. Something was iffy about Xamthos, Endou thought, and he would soon bring this up to his brother and sisters. However, just as Kiyoshi questioned the use of The Hatter, said Shinigami started to laugh in the presence of his captors. Such disrespect, Endou was ready to deliver the man’s head to the ground, but any violent thoughts subsided once The Hatter started to speak out an important thought. One of making rash decisions while angry, and more importantly, betrayal. Normally, Endou wouldn’t have even entertained such a thought, and would have resumed his murderous ideas, but this time, betrayal did make a little sense in their current situation. He was prepared to respond and explore such a thought after The Hatter proposed his game and introduced himself, but he noticed that Faun had reacted badly to the laughing and the words that followed.
Not good.
Endou had about a few seconds to get in between Faun and Carroll before things got nasty, and he made sure he capitalized on those seconds. Quickly standing up the moment he saw Faun take her first step, he turned towards the tree, ran up it slightly, and vaulted off of the bark, performing a beautiful backflip that landed him facing towards Faun, a literal few inches each from Lewis and the Goat herself. “No Faun, wait, he could be right.” He would let those words settle into the air for all to hear while he sighed in relief. Had Faun used Shunpo, he probably wouldn’t have been able to get between her and her target, and they might’ve lost their only source of information. He would let his sister deal any punishment on him later, but now wasn’t the time to go “bad cop” on their prisoner. Not when he was offering a moment of clarity.
He would activate his telepathy to talk to each of the Katena in private, so that they could discuss this matter without another interruption from Carroll. ‘Think about it. What was Xamthos doing in the Seireitei in the first place? Shouldn’t he have come here, to Yggdrasil first; or at least made contact with one of us before he decided to go there? Why did he leave us so easily? He knows we’re outnumbered and need to get as much of our number back as we can, and yet he left so easily? I don’t care how angry he was at Raven, you don’t abandon those you consider family just like that.’ He would stop for a few seconds, breathing out to make sure he calmed himself before continuing. ‘Remember all those years ago, when we first declared battle against the Shinigami? Xamthos kept pushing for diplomacy and peace before he fought with us. He kept thinking that the Shinigami could be reasoned with; like I’m sure he still does now. I’m willing to bet that he would tell the Shinigami all about us and our abilities so that those bastards would be able to defeat and capture us easily, so that we wouldn’t fight and either side wouldn’t have casualties. In fact, I’m sure of it.’ He would let the mental silence settle one more time before telepathically speaking again, this time his last before he would return to speaking with his mouth. ‘Regardless of the feelings towards what I said, we need to consider The Hatter’s point about Xamthos betraying us as possibly true. I refuse to not consider it, I know he’s our brother, but allowing that to prevent me from considering and planning against possible betrayal was unacceptable. I think we would be fools to not plan against betrayal, and I won’t let us fall again.’
Endou would sigh, the situation stressful and tedious. He wished things were as easy as they were when the Katena ruled, but they had a long way before things would return to how they used to be. He projected another mental thought towards Raven, though he would let the other two Katena hear it as well so they could agree or disagree (Faun with her expressions, or course) with him. ‘I think we should play his game, Rae. Right now, he’s the only thing we’ve got, and judging from the poisonous Shinigami you spoke of earlier, a little information on what we’re dealing with beforehand won’t hurt. If he seems like he’s lying or withholding information, we’ll just keep him captive here. As always, it’s your call, Raven.’
He would turn around towards Carroll, eyeing him behind his shades with a bit of uncertainty, as he crossed his own arms, and stepped to the side so that the rest of the Katena could see him as well. He’d glare for a few seconds, a little annoyed at the man’s theatrics, and a little scrutiny at the fact that it had been well over a minute and he hadn’t had the thought to murder this Shinigami. The Hatter had been earning at least one of their favor, unintentionally or not. Though Endou still technically hated him for being a Shinigami, his advice from before managed to abate any previous desire the Horse would’ve had to end his antics in violence, or worse, let Faun destroy him instead. Because he had briefly forgone violence, he would allow himself to give an introduction to The Hatter, at least out of appreciation for attempting to help the Katena in their current struggle.

xxxRaven bowed her head and tried to hide it more as she tried to control her emotions so that she wouldn't lose face. Then she heard a new sound that made a growl rumble in her throat. The hatter was laughing. She would teach him a lesson. Then she heard his proposal and sighed, getting up and seeing Faun rapidly advancing on him, she allowed a telekinetic connection to envelop with her voice to give it a fully commanding tone."Freeze Faun!"She snapped before seeing Endou had placed himself in the way. She listened to what Endou said and carefully weighed the options. As much as she would like to lie to herself and say it wasn't true, they had to consider every possibility. With a heavy heart she sighed and nodded her head."Alright Mr. Carroll, I'll entertain your game."She said as she heard Endou say who he was. She stood up to her full height and let her posture give out an air of authority. If she was about to reveal who she was, might as well give him the full affect. Letting her control on her spiritual pressure ease so that it was a crushing force."Once you know who I am, I'd suggest choosing your words and actions a little more carefully."She warned as she walked over to him."I am Raven Tsukikane."She said, stealing his trick of the pause."I am the biggest and strongest of all of my siblings. I am the Dragon. The leader of this family."She said as she narrowed her eyes, allowing them to turn the yellow color and shape if her dragon eyes before turning on her heel, glaring at Faun in case she tried to do anything, before walking off a little ways so she could listen to them and have room to think. Endou had a point. No matter how much they may not want to believe it, Xamthos had left them at a crucial time. Their numbers were small and not everyone had awakened yet, so those who had, needed to stick together. He had never made his intention clear of being in the Seiretei when she asked, and he was always on the side of the shinigami, even back then when they were trying to kill them. There was every possibility he could betray them. They would lose the element of surprise. He knew the true forms well, and could explain the weaknesses each possessed. It could be troublesome for her, especially since her more vulnerable parts were exposed while she was flying. A few well aimed blows could take her down. They had to consider every possibility and outcome and plan accordingly, no matter how much she may be fought against.

Kiyoshi said nothing as he watched his brother and Sisters deal with Lewis. It was always the Dog's way to let the others make their decisions. He would follow them regardless of the path they chose. It was in fact who he was, the Loyal Dog. As he listened to the Hatter. Kiyoshi was reluctant to do anything that man wanted. Kiyoshi had vowed to rip his head off, and if not for the words of his siblings he would have made good on that promise long ago. However, they had decided to play his game. Kiyoshi couldn't disagree, the Hatter did have information on the Shinigami that they would find very useful. However, while he was locked up he knew of the Hatters insane ways. Everything was not as it would seem with him, and as such he was not to be trusted.
Kiyoshi watched the Hatter stand up and do his little dance with his hat. So his name was Lewis. To the Dog, it made no difference, he was still just the crazy hatter to him. Next up was Endou. He watched Endou give his introduction first after the Hatter had finished his. Next was Raven. Her words were powerful and demanding as always. After Raven had finshed, Kiyoshi got back onto his paws and walked up to the group. The Dog Katena let out a wave of reiatsu as he transformed back into his human form from his Kochaku.
Kiyshi growled for a moment as he looked at the Hatter. "I am Kiyoshi Itō. 11th Born. Most loyal of the Katena, The Dog".
