"Ohhhh ... that kinda sucks ... why dont you just make stuff like this to run stuff? Or is it like this stuff takes enerty and if you had to make it all the time then you'd be tired and couldnt have any fun."
He was tempted to lick the ball to see if it tasted good but he didnt want to if it coudl taste bad.

Kaleb sighed. "It does suck. I can use magic to light my apartment, but I don't know enough spells to provide power for everything I need." Although his magic was useful for many day-to-day necessities, the old saying was true, magic couldn't solve everything.

"That's no fair." He balanced the little ball on one finger and chewed on his tongue. He knew it wouldn't taste good but he couldnt resist. So he had to taste the thing.
"....tastes like .... vanillia ...."

Kaleb blinked as Vivace licked the little sphere. Odder still was his comment on the object's flavour. "I-it does?" the mage asked curiously, conjuring up another small ball of light, one that didn't shift colours randomly. He frowned at it a bit, before giving it a quick and embarassed lick. "Wow, it does taste like vanilla."

"See!" He poked at the light ball. "To bad it probably wouldnt have any substance to it so you probably couldnt eat the things, but they taste good. I wonder if all magic stuff tastes good... Well probably not all of it cause some stuff coudl probably taste bad."

"That's... fascinating." Kaleb said, still frowning at the little globe of light. Eventually he simply dispelled it. "I wouldn't ever have thought to taste it." Unfortunatly it was such an unusual train of thought, it was impossible for the mage not to wonder what his shields tasted like.

"You never thought to taste it? But it looks like candy, how could you not want to taste it?" He couldnt think of not tasting things that could possibly be candy. He'd licked a fair share of things that probably werent ment to be eaten.

"I-I've never seen glowing candy before," Kaleb said, thinking it had probably been too long since he'd had any candy. If there was such a thing as glowing candy, he would have to try some.

"I've never see candy that glows either, but it had the colors and stuff. Candy probably could glow though if you put the right stuff in it and whatnot."

"I-I would think glowing candy wouldn't be healthy..." Well, not that candy was healthy to begin with, but considering all the chemicals that would be necessary for a glowing product, it could be worse than not healty.

"Why not? There are fishies and stuff that glow and that's natural so why would glowing candy not be healthy?" There were ways to make things glow that were probably safe. "Or maybe if you just made it a bright enough color it would look like it was glowing and you dont have to actually make it glow"

Kaleb fidgeted a bit. "Poisons are also natural, and they're definitely not healthy." He blushed a bit, not meaning to have sounded so cynical. "I-I think I would rather eat something that's just brightly coloured, rather than something that's glowing."

"But everyone know's not to eat poision." That was silly to say since everyone knew it. "So that's different." He got up and grabed one of Kaleb's arms. "Come on ... let's go find a candy store. Maybe they will have glowing stuff .. or really bright stuff!"

"O-okay," Kaleb said hesitantly, and didn't pull away. He also got to his feet, but not quite as eagerly. "I-I don't know if there are any candy stores in the area, but we can look."

He smiled brightly and tugged Kaleb along. "Well we can have fun looking and if we dont find a candy store there are other kinds of stores that sell not so fun kinds of candies but still candies so we could still find some somewhere."
