The mage smiled a bit through his nervous blushing. "I-I don't think I'll have to worry about trying to live up to that expectation..." He said, not even sure he knew how to behave according to what was thought of him. He was way too... inexperienced.

"Just don't act like Reno and you'll be fine." He looked across the room and frowned as he noticed Reno absent from the gaggle of girls.
Slinging one arm over Tseng's shoulder he laughed. "One of me too much you ya?"

Kaleb smiled at first when Reno came over, but his expression quickly turned nervous. "Y-you didn't bring any of those women over here, did you?" He asked hesitantly, looking around.

"Nah ... the only useful one i already got what i wanted out of her. Though." He snagged a glass of something off a tray as a waiter passed. Downing the glass in one go he grinned. "Wine tastes better"
"What did Rufus tell you about doing that on company time?"

Kaleb's edgy look was replaced with relief, and soon after by confusion. Obviously Tseng knew what Reno was talking about, so it wasn't just that Reno was being obscure or something.

Kaleb sighed a little bit, he could never understand half the things Reno said, and the others always seemed reluctant to let Reno explain. "What were you doing?" he asked hesitantly, wondering what kind of fun Reno could be up to at such a dull event.

Kaleb shook his head, having made no connection between figuring out Reno's real hair colour and having fun. At that point he was so lost he wasn't sure if asking for clarification would help anything.

He looked at Tseng then at Kaleb, then back between the two again. "That's sad." Reaching out he grabbed Kaleb's jacket and hauled him close enough to speak quietly in his ear. It would be bad of Rufus heard him talking.

Kaleb squeaked a little in surprise as he was pulled close, but once Reno started whispering in his ear, he went very still. His eyes went wide and a dark blush spread across his muzzle. He certainly understood the connection now.

He let go of Kaleb after a minuet and pulled back to grin. "There we go, now he gets it."
He shook his head and casually thumped Reno inthe head with one hand. "I would appreciate it if you'd stop trying to break the poor boy's brain"

Kaleb didn't move an inch after Reno pulled away, except to reach up and adjust his glasses. His blushing only got worse as he opened his mouth to say something, but ended up closing it without a word.
