The animals had reached the first barricade. They were confused, and had obviously not expected something like this. Actually, they still weren't sure just what to expect. A mass of wood and vines blocked the path they had freely used for a long time, there were odd scents and sounds in the air, and on top of that the ground felt strangely warm.

From the other side, all the Earth clan could hear was a mixture of nervous growling, curious sniffing, and a few careful taps and scratches on the barricade.

Then, the animals made a decision. Whatever was going on here, that barricade had to go. With a sudden rage that seemed to come from nowhere, they started attacking the barricade. Some of them recieved small scratches and cuts from the thorny vines that held the barricade together, but they weren't completely careless in their attack, and they were protected by their fur, so none of the animals were recieved any serious wounds.

Then, much faster than anyone could have expected, they broke thorugh the barricade. Probably, they had managed to snap some of the vines that held the trees together, and the entire thing came tumbling down. Immediately, the animals jumped over the debris and cautiously started heading towards the second barricade.

((OOC: Is the second barricade ready or are you still working on it? And how far is the 2nd one from the first?))

((Ok, since you're all against me, I'll keep it in mind for the next time I forget to add some important info.))

Having caught up to his associates as well as his breath, Lucent heard the creatures getting closer. As Lance heated up the ground, Lucent moved behind the area which was heating up while readying his axe. Although Lance didn't approve of killing, Lucent was ready to do whatever was needed to be able to walk away from this. "Let them come. I'm ready." He said to the others.

As much as Lance don't want to hurt any animals, this time he have to think about his friend's life. "Well, don't kill unless you have to, ok? I am sure there is something behind all this.."

Ki found his way to the woodlands. "Woooow" Ki said as he gazed up towards the canopy. "well im not going to get anywhere just standing here" Ki said as he entered the entrance that was circled on the map and followed the trail. Watching his step as to not step on any loose branches to make any noise.

Rey now had to agree with Lance, he was normally right. "I understand what you are saying, but I will kill anything that gets to close to myself or anyone else. This may be there territory, but it doesn't give them the right to attack anyone, even though they are animals they should still have to obide by some rules and understand them." Rey knew this made only made little sense but he felt it was true.

The animals had reached the second barricade. The group could clearly hear and smell them now, and it was obvious that the animals heard and smelled the group as well. They had planned to break down the barricade just like they did with the first, but Lance's spell was stopping them. At first, some of the animals carefully approached the barricade, only to retreat quickly when the soil began to hurt their bare feet. A few failed attempts to safely reach the barricade later, things became silent.

The silence only lasted for a moment though, as soon a loud crashing sound echoed through the forest. Unable to stand on the heated soil for long, the largest of the animals -a big brown bear- had resorted to ramming the barricade with all its strength. After hitting the barrier, it quickly retreated to a point were the heat was bearable, and then charged again. And again. Even though this method wasn't as safe as the one they used for the first barricade, it was at least as effective. It wouldn't take long before the barricade would come tumbling down.

Meanwhile, Ki now walked the path the group had used earlier. Apparently, the animals had either been scared away, or were focusing on the group. In any case, Ki didn't encounter a whole lot of opposition during his walk. A few small animals followed him curiously like they had followed the group before, but that was all. After walking a while, he came across the place where Lance's group had fought the wolves. Even though none of the participants in the fight were anywhere near, the tracks told their tale clearly, not leaving much to the imagination about what happened here.
