"Well...it was for your own good."
The sitarist giggled, remembering just how quickly those pills had knocked out Kaleb before he left.
"Don't feel bad, I don't blame ya for sleeping...and hey I can tell Riley I took good care of ya, or...something."
Ears perked at the word 'game' though. He hated to admit it, but he was growing rather bored.
"Game?..."

Kaleb blushed, Demyx was probably right. If he was still feeling exhausted a couple days after the transformation then it had probably been good for him to rest that night.
"I-I can't help it, i-it's not polite to fall asleep with guests over," he insisted, tugging at his blanket a bit. Again, the musician was probably right though, Riley would be pleased to hear Kaleb had spent the day resting instead of trying to do things.
He was encouraged that Demyx perked up when he mentioned the videogames, and he quickly got up to put on the one Riley usually played when he was around to watch. Kaleb hadn't ever played Super Mario on his own, but he didn't think Demyx would have too much trouble figuring it out.
"You might like playing this game," he said, handing Demyx the controller before settling back in on the couch.

"Yeah but it isn't good to wear yourself out and not rest either. I'd rather ya fall asleep, trust me."
Demyx happily took the controller, the sitarist immediately putting his attention into the game. WOOHOO! Something to do!

Kaleb smiled as he snuggled into his blanket, at least now if he fell asleep and Demyx stuck around again, he would have something to entertain himself with. It was also nice to see him get right into it, Kaleb would be happy enough watching.

Demyx would stick around, the blonde was determined to watch over his friend til Riley got back afterall. Ears twitching, the sitarist eagerly played the game. With Kaleb resting and his mind occupied, he'd be easily entertained until the other returned.

Kaleb was satisfied to sit quietly and watch Demyx play, since he did that all the time when Riley was playing. Although usually with Riley he had a book and was pretending to read instead of watching the game, but he was too tired to go looking for a book, and didn't feel like he needed to pretend anyway. After several minutes he couldn't help but close his eyes for a bit and drift off for another short nap.

He hadn't wanted to go to work for the day since he was still worried about Kaleb but Rufus had been insistent and at least he'd gotten some paperwork done. Hopefully his partner would be asleep and napping and he could make dinner without waking him.
He came in quietly and didn't toss his keys on the table like usual. He set them down and scrunched his nose as he heard Mario playing. "Kaleb?" The mage hadn't wanted to play before so it was strange to hear it playing without him there.

Tongue sticking out in concentration, Demyx had happily played the game while his friend slept. The sound of someone else entering however quickly made him pause the game, an instinctive growl rising in his throat.
As he heard Riley's voice, the sitarist calmed down. Rising to his feet, the watery one skittered off to greet the other.
"Shhh...he's sleeping..."
Ears flat, Demyx stopped his skittering and slowly approached Riley.
"Sorry to just like...be here...I came to visit..."

Kaleb had slumped down a bit as he slept, and was now curled up against one of the couch arms under his blanket, peacefully drooling on the back of one hand. None of the little noises had bothered him while he napped, although his old tail and one ear occasionally twitched in his sleep.

He was surprised to see Demyx skitter away from his couch and he looked over the other toward the couch. He could just see Kaleb curled over on the arm. ".... at least he's not drooling on me this time" He shook his head and grinned at Demyx.
"Thanks .... gonna guess ya used that portal thing ta get here. At least he wasn't lonely all day."

"Sure did, and I kept him company...also made him rest a lot. That's his second nap today."
Demyx grinned, tail swishing behind him. Surely he had done a good job in taking care of Kaleb, yes?

After all the little game noises had stopped for a bit, Kaleb made a sleepy little noise and stretched out on the couch as he started to wake up. Once he had adjusted his glasses from where they had gotten skewed on his nose, he turned his head to look over in Demyx and Riley's direction.

"Good .. he needs to sleep even if he doesn't think so." He watched Kaleb move from over the others shoulder. "So ya stayin for dinner? Or ya gotta get back to ..... wherever yer from?"

Grin turning nervous, the sitarist fidgeted in front of Riley. So caught up in his fidgeting Demyx had no idea Kaleb had woken up.

Kaleb couldn't hear what the two of them were talking about on the other side of the room, so he yawned a bit and sat up before snugging the blanket tighter around his shoulders so he could get to his feet. He staggered a bit in a sleepy, unbalanced way before wandering over to the other two.
