He shook his head "Definately not from the castle. I know pretty much everyone who comes and goes, the only Rodney that came through was months ago and he was old, didn't give a damn about anything, and headed South three months ago to sail to Ogden. I think it was the gypsy groups owner, or something dealing with Lizzy. The knife with it, is something likened to one of the tribes around here." He grabbed it and pointed to the marking on the blade "see it's close to what was on the tree, which means it may have been picked up near here."

"Hmm." She stared down for a moment, in thought. "The thought had graced my mind before, but I thought it unlikely due to the fact that you'd hardly been around her. Why I'd estimate you were talking to her in the bazaar for an average of about...less than five minutes. Plus it was so crowded that day, I'd wonder how he found out, maybe watching from a distance or perhaps word of mouth--one of Lizzy's friends." She mused. "Well at any rate, I'd have thought for sure that once he saw us walking around together, he'd assume you were taken." She laughed heartily then realized it wasn't that great of a joke. "Well anyhow...."

He smiled at her joke "Yeah, perhaps, but I'd guess word of mouth. Maybe Lizzy was talking to her friends and this Rodney fellow overheard." He shrugged "Or maybe it's her bf and she's the taken one" He layed back into the couch with a sigh. "It's not that big of a deal, I'm just going to let it go and stay away from her. She's probably got plenty of better suitors" he shook his head thinking "But man was she pretty."

"Hmph." Nika mumbled. "Well if you keep thinking that way, you'll never catch a fish." She said, in good humor, not really being serious. Nika was never serious when it came to dating, romance, and the like. She personally wasn't a very romantic person, hence her despising of the whole arranged marriage thing. She headed over to the bed again where she stretched out on her stomach, facing Eric.

He shrugged "Well I'm hoping someday things will fall into place and that one person wil be there, but I'm not exactly working on it, or actively searching. What about you? You ever been in love? Liked anyone?"

She almost laughed out loud when the subject was brought into question.
"I agree with you though, I'm not exactly actively pursuing it like some of those brainless dimwits in the castle are..." She laughed, thinking of the ridiculous ornate suitor balls they'd had in the past in Mael.
"I have never been in love nor do I anticipate it in the future. I realize that while I'm not actively searching, I could find 'the one' for me but alas...I highly doubt ANY one could get along with me agreeably. And my doubt has probably created a barrier between me and most potential candidates, not that I care a bit." She articulated the "a bit" part.

"Ahhh so you say, so you say." He smiled to her "Yet here you are cring for me, and getting along with me, no?" He grabbed a pillow off the couch and tossed it at her.

She caught it in midair.
"Amusing. I meant getting along...in other ways. Ways of which I would not speak of...I daresay I'd not want to soil your virgin ears." She gently tossed the pillow back toward him and it landed on the ground. She'd remembered he was injured and did not want to be the cause of another.

"Oh my virgin ears? Who's to say I'm a complete virgin? I have kissed a woman before. As well as been on a few dates. No i have not 'done the naughty'" He made a goofy face when he said it then smiled "but I do have married friends who've recounted VARIous stories to me, and I know all about the birds and the bees." He swiped up the pillow and held it on his lap.

"I don't doubt that you have..." she smiled. "I was just sayin'....it's no use for me to talk about it really." She concluded, shifting her gaze out the window. "Besides, I get along better with most men than women but I'd never consider going any farther than that." She looked back at him. "So uh, what did you have ordered for breakfast?" She asked, changing the subject.

She laughed. "Because I don't need a fish." She replied cortly. "Unless of course said fish is a part of my breakfast, lunch, or dinner." She patted her stomach making an 'mm mm' motion with her lips. "Making me hungry again...gravy you say? Mmmm. And with some ale too. Double mmm."

he frowned "Why do you like to drink so much?" He reached around and felt the back of his head. The swelling had gone down but it was still a bit tender.

"Not really, and it's not exactly the best thing for ya. It inhibits you and can make you sick... really it's terrible stuff. There are plenty of non-alcoholic drinks out there that taste great, but won't destroy you." He said seriously with a saddened expression.
