Taerar Licorne One last question since we're on the subject of air travel, and then I swear I'll leave you alone gonk You mentioned air bikes being available, and I'm just trying to get a good picture of what they would look like. My only idea is the kind of little 1-2-man machines the pirates used in Miyazaki's Castle In the Sky if you've seen it. Is that similar to what you meant and/or would those kinds of flying machines be available? *shutsupnaosrsly* Look at the front part of the guild, dear <3 Made sure to put airbikes in there and kill two birds with one stone in describing them for you~ Kalindara- <3

... Aaalright, since I'm sure this might be skirting a lot of gray areas in and of itself... I've got a little question about the genetic extremes of crossbreeds.
Basically, I've been toying with the idea of dragging in an OC concept type thing as a Koshka/Mensch hybrid if it's possible to do so, and I was wondering if, by some unusual circumstance, a mixed species individual could be born with no typical traits (pointed ears/fur of any kind/tail) and only an animalized nose/facial features instead? Basically... a mensch with a furless Koshka "face"?
Could this possibly happen randomly with a mixed breed that just got the short end of the stick? Or be a result of inbreeding? Or recessive genes? Or some defunct gene or mutation, maybe?
... And if that *isn't* possible, as an alternative, would it be alright to create an essentially hairless koshka as a second option? With a hairless little 'rat' tail and no fur on the ears/face/anywhere instead (as in... not wrinkled up like a purposely bred sphinx, just a random fluke)?

[ninikouak] - Post the gifts? :c "Requests & Punk Donations" ?
Hanyousblood- That seems reasonable. The 'pointed ears' are the same sort of mutation. Though the structure is Koshka in nature, it lacks the defining Koshka feature of fur and therefore designates them as neither.
A furless cat-like face would fall under the same category and result in the same kind of ostracizing, surely. Even with just the facial structure it doesn't seem outside the realm of doable.

Let me take you down, 'cause I'm... Rawr, I have a couple questions! biggrin 1) My character, Gorrex, is based off of the Kingdom Hearts universe and as such is known to travel across many worlds~ Could he treat the Steamworks universe as a world all its own that he crash landed into? Like, he knows that the technology of his old KH world exists, but he doesn't have any and he can't recreate it? 2) Gorrex is an inventor by trade and as part of his backstory (kinda depending on your answer to question 1, really XD ) is that he finds a way to make some cash on his new home by selling odd trinkets and suck he has invented. Would it be possible to open up a minishop of sorts where I offer -completely free- trinkets and gizmos for sale by Gorrex? Like, something that can be added to a Punk's cert, like, say, a little walking bug-like gear creature, etc.?
... going to Strawberry Fields.

Yay! ;D *elated that her concept can pass, FOR GREAT JUSTICE!*
... And now I've got another issue to bring up that I'll apologize in advance for, but it's an idea that I'd like to get approved officially, since I think it might be beneficial to a lot of people.
Trinny (TrinityCowboy) and myself were just toying with an idea that we both want to pursue as a team effort-- a kind of... catalogue of villains, in a way. Basically, it would be a seperate 'journal' with input from both of us and, eventually, others who wanted to join in the project, listing all sorts of "villain" characters we've created for, more or less, nothing but antagonizing 'good' characters for spicing up or driving a plot. Any given villain's creator would have ultimate player control over them for true RP, like a normal character, but they would also have a sort of... loose NPC function for anyone that wanted to use them as a plot catalyst, so long as whoever used them would adhere to the chosen villain's tendencies (a thief stealing, a mugger mugging, a crazy sadist STABBING THE HELL OUT OF s**t, a crime lord... raising hell?) and appropriate home area.
Would this little project be alright for us to do? Once it's established, we'd also like to open it up to ... well, anyone who could come up with a creative villain and wanted to volunteer (with certain quality checks along the way)?...

I know it says no robotic pets - what are your thoughts on automata? I have an OC I'm thinking of doing who is a maker of automata in the classical sense. Would such be acceptable? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AutomatonI'm thinking so, since the Golden Age of Automata is in the right time period, but I wanted to make sure. XD

I was just wondering if the rule about no red eyes, save for albinos, included cosplays of characters that actually do have red eyes? BD~

Illuseon I can answer <3
Yes, it does count for cos-plays with red-eyes, pink eyes, or any other unnatural color. Red Eyes could become a nice vaguely red-hued brown (those exist) but could not be red unless the character themself was albino.

Alrighty, I've got a couple of random, unrelated questions with far too much of me blabbering on in there. ^.^; - What sort of bathing facilities (private and public), if any, would be available at this time period? I know that public bath houses were done in different countries in the 1800s, and before, but I haven't turned up too much looking for private facilities besides my own knowledge of fire-heated baths from Japan. I found one website ( here) but I don't know how much we're really going off of time period mechanics. - I guess on a similar note, what is the Koshka's general mentality towards water? Housecats hate water, but they're also rather obsessed with being clean, and I certainly don't see a Koshka sitting down to wash the same way a housecat does. Or would there not be a general instinct in regards to it at all, perhaps because of their far-along evolution or mixing with Mensch? - Currency? Is there a universal type of currency, or is it different for each of the races? I'm also curious as to what sort of price range are we looking at for things, as in if your talking standard wages or purchasing a Koshka skyship? edit: (remembered my other questions) - Can a character have multiple jobs? Like, say you're a merchant, but you do your trading and sales via skyship or steamboat? Or you're moonlighting, or a job is actually a cover-up? - Would there be anything wrong with logically RPing a job change? As in, maybe a character retires from one job to start another, or decides they've had enough of that stage of their life?

*actually answered all these yesterday, then firefox closed... and she slumped off >u>;;*
SECOND ROUND 8D
Jazz- 1- Dressing Room RPs are totally okay c: I have one going myself. 2- You may want to hold off on that one a little bit as I'll be opening a 'item shop' for the main page in short time. XD It'll give some details as to the world's wears and a technology. But once thats up then you're more then welcome to open your own c: It won't be too long now.
Hanyous Blood- This is absolutely alright, sounds like a great idea! Though make sure you let people know who are signing up for the list that other people may be using their characters as NPCs! :3 Might be a good idea to include a section for docters and such too! XD
Sosiqui The problem with larger 'pets' and even automata things is the bases are the only real way we maintain a sense of uniformity.
However, if you feel confident in your linearting abilities or you have some friends willing to help- I would accept some 'mechanical doll' bases on the condition that anyone could use them. C: It's actually a really good idea, and spot on in time period, it would be nice to have some for the shop (mmmm, balljointed dolls).
If we can get our hands on a couple then your OC can have an exception and make other automechanica as well just for him/herself. He/She could be the (RP'd)'provider' of the pets that would come from these bases? What do you think? I'm always open to debate. <3
Waarufu -The time mechanics for this are skewed, you're very right. I'd say theres baths and things, but no showers. Most likely porcelain type things for the high/mid class and probobly tubs for the low class.
-It's mixed- some hate it and prefer dust baths and things, some hate it and do it anyways for hygiene purposes, others love it- most usually with halfbreeds. Usually depends on the Koshka, if you had really long fur, would you want to be a living mop? *A*; (Basch)
-Gold is the currency, I've not worked out the living rate. I'll address that in the next update c:
-They most certainly can! All the information on your tag is the 'readily apparent' information. If you don't want others to know right away, then it's best to have it on your journal and keep their 'cover' job on their tag. Or you could be clever with the layers and put the 'cover' job on top and have the real one on a lower opacity behind it.
-Not at all, you don't even have to update us on it unless you change the url c:

I've beared witness to this place, this lair, So long forgotten--so pure, so rare, To witness such a lovely goddess-- Okay, so I've got an OC that was created for the 10th Kingdom universe. He's technically Puss N' Boots (his name is Kit Nathaniel Boots, Kit N. Boots 8D I'm so clever *shot*), but would that count as a cosplay, since it's based off of a fairy tale, and not, for instance Puss In Boots from Shrek, or some other movie/show/whatever?
Would it be better if I just used him as the character I created, and perhaps changed the name to make it less obvious that he was based on Puss N' Boots? His personality is deviated enough from the story, really, but I'd love to use his original name if possible, and all my cosplays are full. XD
I'd sell my soul, my self esteem A dollar at a time; for one chance, one kiss one taste of you...

Alright, stupid question from Surr time!
How would I go about asking if it'd be possible to submit a character of mine to be apart of the military as something a little bit more than a soldier? Is it okay to PM Zirca, am I not allowed to proposition at all period, or is it not set up yet, etc.
