((okay, I'll just join in randomly..)) Piopi struggled in the small dark hessian bag, her eyes wide with fright and her mind racing about what the ogres could do to her. She had been traveling along the same road Alsh was on now, unafraid and unaware, then 2 ogres ahd come out of the trees and grabbed her. She had struggled and kicked, but to no avail, they had her pinned. The 3rd ogre tried to shove her into the bag but it proved too hard to put the squirming girl in, so he bashed her over the head. She had woken in the dark rough bag, gagged and bound, and had been awake long enough to hear that the ogres were looking for someone- and had mistaken Piopi for them. The conversation ended and she was roughly dragged along the ground. "mff, Mffmfmfmffff!!" she tried to shout in pain and kick her legs out at her opressors.

After making sure she was clear of the Ogre's, she jumped down from the tree she was in. Her hand went to her belt where she kept her dagger as she looked around to make sure the area were clear. She continued on through the woods, making a point to avoid the trail that lead her to her destination. Every time that even a simple rabbit would rustle in the bushes, she'd jump through her skin.
After about and hour of walking, she came upon a clearing. She stopped at the edge of the trees and quietly climbed up to the top of the nearest one. Three Ogre's were standing in the clearing with a hessian bag. The bag was moving as though they had caught them a live animal. She sat on the branch and watched them idly. The Ogre's were talking amongst themselves. The biggest one shoved the Ogre holding the bag. They were fighting about something. The more they bickered, the angrier they got. There was no way Alsh planned on going down there or even would try to make the slightest noise.
The one holding the sack threw it to the side and went to throw a punch at the bigger one, which in turn, resulted in the breaking of his arm. Alsh shuddered at the sound of the large bone breaking in half. The bigger one grabbed his axe off his back and swung it at the other. The third Ogre just stood by and watched as the fight went on. Alsh laughed on the inside at the thought of the Ogre's fighting each other. They never were the smartest race that walked the planet.
After a few minutes of fighting, the smaller of the two Ogres that were fighting was sprawled on the ground. He had been killed by the bigger one, not that he had a chance anyway. The big Ogre turned to the third one that had been standing to the side to see if he was going to challenge his authority. He just shook his head and the big Ogre left him alone, looking content with himself.

Renegadius Leaping out of the treetops at a declining angle, Matthew smiled in spite of himself. Reaching into the bag at his hip, he drew his black-gloved fingertips across his teeth, wetting the leather slightly. Smoothing the tails of his ninth-last arrow, he knelt and closed an eye, drawing the ebony shaft back with a steady breath.
Releasing the projectile with a fierce buzz, he mentally tracked it's trail between the man's legs. Keeping his teeth locked together, not dropping the bow after the shot, he listened for an impact. Silver tail waving slowly from side to side, he kept his eyes perfectly forward, his entire body going still as he pressed his heels together. 'So... he dropped the zombie ploy...' He sniffed, the wind flicking his bangs to dance before his clear blue eyes. Zaelphus felt fortunate with the shield he ahbd erected around him. For while he knelt with a hand on the ground an arrow shaft landed between his legs. Would the shirld not have been up, he had no idea where the bolt could have hit him. Placing his other hand on the ground he increased his power output, widening the area his necromantic powers affected. Only this time he did not target only trees, but all living things. Every plant, blade of grass, and any unfortunate creatures cuaught in the area died. As they decayed to piles of mulch, a thick fog started to grow in the area. Only unlike any normal fog this was a build up of decay, a fog that was very hazardous to breath for any non demonic or undead creatures. It had become so thick that there was hardly any visibility beyond a couple of feet. Standing upright he stopped his assault, with the cloud so thick he doubted his assailant could see him. And were they to pursue him in the fog they would have difficulty with all their senses, not too mention the chance of suffocation. The fog would continue to spread out through the forest slowly eating away at everything it touched. Smiling, he could imagine that from the air this area of the woods would end up a large brown lifeless spot. Zaelphus remained standing where he was, still feeling the presence of his assailant. Should his attacker choose to continue this battle he would gladly face them with his sword. At the moment he could care less about a fight, he only wanted to get rid of the pheonix.

"Wrong move!" Matthew shouted above the chaos, tossing his bow up into the air as the noctious cloud began to rise. Biting the wire between his teeth tightly, his hands snapped up into a blurred series of gestures before locking together at the wrists, fingers linked together in a dirk-like posture. With a massive shockwave, wind exploded out of nowhere in a radius around the youth's position, creating a bubble inside of the cloud of death as white fire engulfed the wire, hurtling out through the air towards the arrow it had been hastilly tied to, striking the withering tree with a deafening soundwave and a mass spreading of the white flames, lighting up the dawn like a second sun.
Coiling his legs, the Lycanthrope exploded off of the ground, piercing the cloud of undead fog with a trailing wisp. Catching his bow with a flip, an arrow flourished into his right hand as he drew it back, launching the arrow into the dead epicenter of the white fire.

Zaelphus had to admit he was surprised to see his fog of decay blown away from his assailant whyom he finally saw to be a lycanthrope. His next shock came from the soundwave which not only muted all sound briefly but pushed him back before the bright explosion of flames. Even with his shield up he could feel the heat burning his form beneath his armour. The light affected his sight, nearly blinding him, though his sioght meant nothing as long as he could still sence the other's life force. But to add onto the heat he felt was the arrow that luckily went into his right arm in between his armour. Clutching hisa arm he slowly pulled out the arrow, the tip covered with a black substance that ate away at it. He cast asside the arrow and focused on the life force of his enemy, his hearing was alright while his sight was still hampered. Whoever this Lycanthrope was, Zaelphus did not want to bother spending any more energy on them. Though he had little choice, so he decided to perform a spell to keep the beast occupied for a while. Chanting in his ancient, demonic, gutteral tongue he began to summon several ghostly wraiths. The area around them began to darken as several pale glows began to arise from the ground. Slowly the glows took the forms of cloaked figures, which revealed a skeletal structure underneath. They were transparent, while keeping a sick green glow, their hans ending in claw like fingers. Zaelphus could feel the hate coming from the undead creatures, a blind hatred that he was sure to direct at the lycanthrope. With a final word the several wraiths looked directly at the lycanthrope and uttered a ghostly wail as they charged. But before they engaged in combat he cast one last final spell, one which caused a dark sphere to encompase the lyncathrope and the wraiths in a temporary darkness. In time the sphere would dissipate, for not much was needed for him to leave the creatures to fight one another. As long as the sphere was up around them, sight was nearly impossible. Turning towards his original destination, Zaelphus walked on through the woods. He left his undead where they lay, not wanting to expend any more power. Leaving the dead area he sapped the life away from plants and trees that he passed. The only way he could heal himself was through draining life, and the forest provided enough to regenerate him before he reached the settlement where the pheonixs' lie. Though he made sure to keep mind on the fight behind him as well, judging by the power he had seen in the lycanthrope, several wraiths may only slow the beast down.

Landing on his heels, the silver-haired youth immediately went into a backflip, only to curse as the black sphere engulfed him and his new predators. Panting lightly, he flicked his bow back around waist, drawing a black silk blindfold from his rear pocket. 'Well, so much for a decent nap...' He sighed, lifting his silver mane as he carefully tied the strip about his eyes.
Taking a steadying breath, he steadied his stance, spreading his legs slightly as he brought his arms back in towards his body, slowly dropping his palm to the black hilt of his longsword. Fair nostrils flickering slightly, his pointed, fuzzy white ears rose erect, quivering as they focused on the tiniest reverbrations about the boy. Descending slowly, his tail fairly vibrated, his entire body resembling a drawn spring.

Piopi grunted as she got tossed to the side, her ribs smashing into the ground. "ermff." she groaned. The ogres had started fighting, and she siezed the chance to work on her escape. Wriggling her hands feverishly in thier bonds, she worked the tight strips of cloth further down her arms. She finally got them over her wrists, but they were sore and had large welts on them. She got to work on her other bonds, and got totally free, it sounded as if the ogres fight was nearly over, so she quickly undid the knot at the top of the bag. Her eyes darting, clutching her sore ribs, she pelted off into the thickest part of the bush she could see.

Alsh no longer paid any attention the the sack the Ogres where carrying for her eyes were locked on the Ogres. She reached over her back and grabbed an arrow while preparing her bow at the same time. She aimed up into the air so that the arrow would come almost straight down on the Ogre she was aiming for, and they'd have no idea where it had come from. She shot her arrow and, like she had planned, it came down on one of the Ogres, impaling through his skull. His thick body crashed to the ground as the other Ogre looked about, trying to figure out what direction the arrow came from.
Giving up, he ran off to go find other Ogres for backup. Alsh jumped down from her tree and grabbed the leather sack off his side. She shook it and heard the metal tinging together as though it was music to her ears. She opened up the bag and revealed what she already deemed true, gold coins that were worth a fortune in this world. She heard branches snapping in the woods so she quickly got up and left through the nearest trees, not stopping to even count the gold pieces.

As Piopi raced away from the ogres she began to realise she had left all her savings back with them, along with her possesions. She skidded to a halt, turned around and ran back towards the ogres. When she got there she saw one on the ground with an arrow in its head, and another that looked like it had been bashed to death by its own kind. "oh dear." she saw a girl come down from the tree and take a sack off the dead carcasses. She began to advance on the girl, to ask how it happened- and if she could see inside the sack too- it case it was her stuff- but she fled away when Piopis foot snapped a twig. "hey come back!!" she called and chased after Alsh.

Alsh could hear her pursuant at her heels, she she quickened her pace. Before she got too far ahead, she called back, "It's called survival of the fittest. Catch me if you can! I'm Elven and I'm fast, so good luck!" Alsh started into a sprint and began to gain distance between her and her follower. The wind whistled through the trees as they skimmed past her in a blur. She stopped instantly as she came upon some buildings made of oak, the same wood from this secluded town's surrounding trees.
The buildings were very crude but seemed every so cozy. A pub to her right had a sign that hung from one hinge, and seemed to be slightly worn from foul weather. Alsh entered the pub and sat down at the bar. The gentleman behind the bar poured her a drink after she'd put some coins down on the wooden top for payment. Outside, she could see as the rain started coming down, quietly at first and then into a pounding downpour. The sound from the thick drops on the roof and windows almost seemed to drown out the music the bard had been playing on his miniture harp. Alsh was relieved she'd gotten to the town on time, before the weather decided to change.
Alsh picked up her glass of ale, after the bartender had refilled it for her, and took it to the chair by the fireplace. The glow from the fire accentuated her beautiful evlish features. Her hair fell over her shoulders and down her back; the lush blonde locks of hair shone in the light of the fire. Her soft eyes were set on the fire as though she was contemplating something serious.
"Can I buy you a drink?"
The voice caused Alsh to jump out of her thoughts and back into reality. She looked at her mug and it was half empty, the shaggy dog that the bartender kept had been drinking her ale. She stood up and stretched, and declined the mans offer. She went to the pub owner and payed for a room to stay in that night.

Piopi had run as fast as she could to catch up with the mysterious girl, but she was no match."hey slow down!" she cried out as the figure disappeared out of sight, shrugging and puffing out in exhaustion, she began to slowly plod in the same direction. It began to rain, and she kept trudging through the mud- the thought of spending a night out where the ogres could get her again filled her with fear. The rain pelted on her back and sent shivers up her spine, she was cold and tiered and hurt. Squinting through the heavy rain, she saw some buildings that looked hospitable. Not noticing the sign "bar" swinging above the door, she staggered into the pub. Flopping down at a seat, Piopi sighed with relief- that rain was terrible! But she then realised she was bone tiered, and had no money to pay for a place to sleep. "damn." she buried her head in her arms

At last Zaelphus was within site of the place he had sought, the settlement contining the pheonixs'. With a brief gesture with his hand his group of undead began to move into town. They were to be his distrction while he approached from a different side, the one with the cemetery to be exact. He had drained enough life from the woods to regenerate his wounds and restore a decent portion of his spent power. Though once his attack on the town began he would be able to prey on its people and regenerate some more of his power. Beneathe his hood he could not help but grin in excitement, at last he would be able to exact his revenge on the creatures responsible for his imprisonment. He would have his chance to whipe out the last few of the pheonix from this world. Soon after that he would take care of the rest of the living creatures of this world. By the time he reached the cemetery he figured that his undead would be in sight by now. While the townspeople worried about them he would have risen a larger force. Standing in the middle og the graveyard he uttered his demonic language, speaking in a low tone as he chanted his spell. Slowly the bodies of the towns dea clawed their way out from their resting place. Zaelphus took his time ressurecting the dead, while letting out a low menacing chuckle.

Sitting quietly in the tavern it was amazing how all the energies in here were active yet in a sort of passive way while everything around here seemed to be full of bustling energies. Letting her mind wander there it was like she could see what was happening although she couldn't really see. Like she could feel the energy of an elf, recognizable by the almost quick way it reacted to her touch and just the general nature of it: curious yet alert, a youth and a wisdom radiated from it. She knew something was chasing her, for she indeed was a girl, one was a little girl, her own energies young and naive and after the two (for she was sure this was chasing both of them) was a group of ogres their energies recognizable by the almost unintelligent state of their aura and the roughness of it. 'Hmm it feels like they're running in this direction,' she thought offhandedly, of course she couldn't be sure reading energies was tricky so as far as she knew they could be traveling in the complete opposite direction. So lost in almost alternate plane of energies she didn't notice the barmaid ask her if she would like a refill.
"Um Missus, would you like another cup of tea?" She asked hesistantly, obviously she had seen the stunt Lilith had pulled before and was probably more than reluctant to serve her.
"Um Miss?" She asked once again, her voice seemingly more timid before, not knowing of what to make of the wolf-eared girl who eyes were closed and almost seeming like she was in a trance. So it scared the young girl quite alot when her eyelids popped open quite unexpectedly and she quickly focused her blue-gray eyes on her. She let loose a gasp and backed up a step before hurriedly stepping back to her original spot and placing a hand over her mouth. She had hoped she hadn't offended the girl for the cook would be on her again for offending another customer.
Lilith looked at the girl with a calm eye, not really suprised but noting that the girl looked to be the same age as she was herself and in fact quite scared. It was amusing watching the girl's expression change from one of fright to suprise to reluctant determination in mere seconds and she let out a little laugh which seemed only to suprise the girl even more.
"No need to be scared I don't bite," she said good-naturedly finding it easy to be friendly to this poor girl more easy than it was to be nice to most other people. A small voice somewhere deep inside was urging her to put up that shield of indifference, she didn't want people to think she was turning soft but another voice argued aggressively that she would probably never see her again so there would be no real attachment involved and wasn't a bad person so some friendliness to a complete stranger wasn;t that bad of a thing. Lilith ignoring these voices for now, for she had no time for her own internal battles, smiled politely at the barmaid,
"Yes I would love another cup of tea and next time don't be so scared alright?" The girl herself nodded too awed and to scared that if she said something she might ruin the wolf girl's good natured mood and she poured her another cup of hot tea. The girl nodded as she scurried away to go serve someone else. Lilith nodded back watching the girl walk away then turned to her cup of tea not caring it yet and instead watched the steam float away from it in tendrils then disappearing quickly into the air.

Flicking lack ichor off of the blade of his longsword, Matthew sheathed the filthy blade with a twirl, reaching up serenely to untie the blindfold from about his eyes. Pieces and bits of ragged armor and clothing surrounded the silver-haired boy in a wide radius, torn shreds of material flickering in the breeze. With a nonplussed smile, he unbuckled his ruined cloak, tossing it away from his sleeveless shoulders after pulling his bow away from the garment.
Exploding out of the black sphere in a flurry of blown snowflakes, Matt squinted against the sudden onrush of light to his deprived eyes. Landing on coiled legs, he leaped off again, hitting the vestial edge of decay and blackened tree stumps. Lightly panted breath melted away from his pert lips in a delicate vapour against the wintery chill. All around the bodies of small and large animals scattered the brown area, eyes staring listlessly off into cloudy oblivion. Scowling, he leaned forward as his feet touched down onto the razed earth once more, taking off at a howling run through the thin white veil of old man winter's beard, pointed wolf ears pressed back against his silver mane.
The scent of decay was all around, focused in the direction of the city. The scent of death was north.

Piopi stared at the wood on the countertop, her eyes going in and out of focus."woah." she muttered. Looking around the room, she noticed someone who was just sitting there, staring into space- then she noticed the girls eyes werent open. The barmaid who was serving her seemed really jumpy, and Piopi had no idea why. Going over to her, she sat down, squeezing out the water from her hair. "Hi, I'm Piopi, why was that girl so jumpy?" She was straight to the point. Grinning, she began to wring out the corners of her clothes.
