Nikki sighed and scooted closer to him, wrapping an arm loosely and his waist, "You okay?" She asked. "Yea...just, "Chase paused remembering what Vera had done on the patio, "...nothing, I'm fine." "Okay?..." She backed off in her pursuet to find out what happend so instead of saying anything more she softly nudged Chase into laying back on the bed. Chase lightly smiled and laid back, Nikki then laid back beside him, drawing herself close to him before they both drifted out t sleep, tucked in each others arms.

"Fine!" Vera shrieked. No one would be able to hear them out here anyway. "If you want to be mad at me, fine!"
He sighed angrily. "Im not mad." He pulled her closer to him. "You just need to be careful. The only reason you're one of us was because I messed up. I dont want that to happen to anyone else."

Nikki and Chase continued to sleep, worn out from the day's craziness.

Vera snapped awake, her eyes flying open. "How did I get in my bed?"
A voice whispered behind her. "You were asleep, my Queen, so the guards brought you here."
She whipped around, and standing in a regular guards outfit, was Jake.
"What are you doing?!" She snapped, jumping out of the bed. "Are you an idiout? You could get us found out!"
"Relax." He said, sitting on her window sill casually. "It's fine. No one will notice. And this way, I can help you. Keep you safe, ya know?" He hopped down, smiling. "And anyway, you're number one guard was killed, and they HAD to find a replacement. So I "talked" to a few poeple, and here I am." HE smiled warmly. "Now, lets go get some breakfast."

Nikki awoke to Chase gently shaking her arm, " Hmm?" She muttered. " Come on. Get up." He pestered before throwing her over his shoulder, " Chase!" She giggled as she pounded on his back, playfully. Chase carried her downstairs to the dinning room where they met up with Vera and her head guard.

Vera walked in in front of Jake, a new dress on her body and a polished crown on her head. She turned to Nikki, "This is Jake. He is the new head guard, adn my personal bodyguard."
Jake stuck his hand out, "Nice to mett ya."

Chase took Jake's hand and shook it, "I'm Chase...and this is Nikki." He said gesting to Nikki. Both of them were still in their previous day's clothes but sat down at the table anyway, not wanting to be rude.

Vera rolled her eyes at Chase, then smiled at Jake as he pulled the chair out for her. Vera clapped her hand, and the food was served.

Chase and Nikki both glanced at each other then slowly began to eat. (WB)
( It has just dawned on me that Vera could easily have something done to them...their food or anything. Creepi...)

Vera smiled warmly. "Oh! I forgot to tell you. Mr and Nikki will be having a private tour of the castle this afternoon. Chase and Jake will be free to do whatever they please."

Nikki bit her lip and reluctantly said, "Okay" with false agreement. Chase's eyes grew wide and he began to object but one quick glare from Vera told him he shouldn't if he wanted Nikki to be safe.

Vera grinned, "Now that that's settled, Nikki and I will leave after lunch. Until then, I am going to be showing my new head guard around my rooms." She smiled wickedly, stood up, and walked out of the room. Jake followed behind her obediently.
(Use you're perverted little mind, because I'm not trying ot be dirty, but it even sounds bad to me XD)

Nikki watched them leave then turned to Chase, " Soo what do you want to do until then?" Chase waited a moment before shrugging, his mind elsewhere.
