Riten nodded, lifting his other foot and kicking Brytan's head as hard as he could. He went limp, but the lycan was still unsure. "Make sure he's out." He said, untrusting.

De'carn didn't reply to Senka, watching Haku pass by where the group had been last. For a moment, something that acted like a normal wyrm should hoped that Senka wasn't coming to any harm due to his interferance. He quickly squashed it with an assurance that she was fine. At least his power over there was stil holding, he thought with satisfaction.

I can argue and look at the same time. Haku replied without too much thought, still looking for the half lycan girl. Thinking that maybe she was beneath the grass, he dove down closer and passed over it.

Aran didn't object to being closer. He had a hard time seeing good from that high up anyways. Maybe not this close... but whatever. Haku was the flyer.

Senka's body tensed as she watched the lycan kick the odd elf in the head. His body went limp, and for a moment a fleeting thought ran through her mind that he had killed the poor boy. She hoped he was okay, though the scents in the air made it hard to tell if he was alright.

"Fine." Versel muttered as he tightened his grip on the Halfing's rope as he bent down, pressing a finger to Brytan's forehead and pushing slightly on his head.

Sybrant bit back a reply to Haku. It didn't help much to start argueing with someone who was helping you out. She stopped in her midst of ripping apart trees and shrubbary to take a deep breath. Sybrant then started to move on again, her mind a bit calmer then before.

Riten felt no tensing of muscles, no indication that the slave was awake any longer. He lifted his foot slightly, no response whatsoever being sent back to him. All at once he leapt off, shapeshifting to his full tiger form almost instantly. Nothing. Thank the gods. He shifted back to his human form, nodding slightly. "I can carry them both with little problem, I think. So long as he doesn't fall off. You ready?"

Haku was getting frustrated. I can't find her, dark dragon. She has to be the best runner in the whole damn world to get away from you that fast. We're not going to find her like this!

Aran silently agreed with Haku, even though he didn't want to say it out loud. This seemed almost a lost cause already. Especially the bickering. "Haku..."

YOU AGREE WITH ME. Haku's blaze of anger blocked out too much more thought for the merman, his head wheeling as the wyrm touched down for a moment before taking off again. He gripped into the water wyrm's fur, regaining his senses quickly.

Don't give up. Not yet. Aran growled, vibrant eyes scanning the grass once more. It was a sea of nothing.

De'carn felt part of his power returning, and looked so he could glance at the dark patch of his work carefully. It was fading back into night. The fun was going to start in a moment, apparently.

Senka's eyes flew to the Elf. Her golden eyes mirrored concern, praying he wasn't dead. Her mind reeled, like a beast that had taken a beating to it's head. She weakly reached out mentally, recoiling back as her mind hit dark power. She needed to at least know Sybrant was alright...

Nodding, Versel let his gaze linger on Brytan for a moment, before rising to look at Riten. "Yeah, I'm ready."

Sybrant was beginning to run out of options. She looked up as she saw a flash of white streak the sky. Please, do not quit. For the sake of my Bonded, please. She hated herself for falling so low as begging. But if Senka was at stake...

Riten shifted back into his animal, shifting nervously until Versel started putting passengers on his back. The elf was light, as to be expected. The half-breed a bit heavier, but her bore the burden with little trouble. "Come on," His voice was quiet, rough and strained through a brief change in his interior. Soon as he was sure they were safely aboard, he leapt forth.

Something inside his darkness moved. Calling his power back, De'carn let them loose. SYBRANT! He yelled, though it was really uneccesary. I see them! Snake, do you?

Aran didn't. Haku did. He jerked until he was headed towards them, rising a bit in the sky to cover ground faster. The wyrm was unhappy to be proven wrong, but still intended to help. A tiger, no doubt a lycan, a humanoid the likes of which he had never seen, a boy laying across the tiger's back, and...

"Her!" The mental image that had passe quickly between them was enough.

Riten glanced skyward, hearing a faint shout over the sky. "Move! Now!" He ordered, bounding as swift as he could away from the closest wyrm.

Senka stayed silent as she was forced to sit on Riten's back. Her heart lifted slightly. Had that had been who she thought it had been....?

Versel let out a curse as he heard the shouting, pressing Senka down on Riten's back so she wouldn't fall off. His leg muscles tightened, before springing off into a sprint, although his legs couldn't match the speed of the tiger lycan, he still kept up a good pace.

Sybrant's eyes shot open wide, as she suddenly felt Senka's mind as if it appeared from nowhere. Her Bonded... Whoever took her had made a hellishmistake to pay for for taking her bonded. The Shadow Wyrmess ripped through the briars and fallen brances, the minor pains as they damaged scales was nothing to her at the moment. Senka! Try and surround the group, so they have nowhere to run.

On it! Haku replied, due to Aran's nudging. He was flying fast towards the lycan, although part of him wanted to hold back. He wanted to let them slip. With a quick snap at nothingness ahead of him, he surged onwards.

"What was that?"

Nothing.

De'carn was running as gracefully as he could. Red eyes narrowed as he trailed behind Haku, growling. Gods, he hated that hybrid. It wasn't him getting ahead; it was how effortlessly he glided.

Riten glanced over his shoulder, and then immediatly picked up his pace. He didn't fancy getting caught by those nasties. He felt Brytan move slightly on his back, but was beyond caring about that at the moment.

Shadows creeping up around him, twisting around his arms and legs... like vines. Holding him steady. Keeping him safe. Brytan slept on after a slightly shifting.

Senka also felt the slight shift from Brytan. She took a risk by glancing down at him, before holding on tighter to the Tiger Lycan as he sped up.

Versel grimaced as he tried to pick up the pace. Riten was getting a good distance between the two of them... "Riten!" He hoped to whatever higher powers that be that the Tiger Lycan could hear him. "Wouldn't it be wise to dump them? I'd rather leave them behind, then become some overgrown lizard's chew toy!"

As she cleared the brush, Sybrant's silver eyes glanced up ahead. She saw two figures running, and headed towards their direction. It was time to end this game of cat and mouse.

Versel was making sense. But... Dammit, what about the pay for the girl?! The elf he was fine with losing, but... After a glance at the three wyrms about him, he sighed. He leapt in the air, twisting to try and get rid of Brytan and Senka. He heard at least one thud, his claws breaking any ropes that held them still to his body. With that, he turned and fled.

Brytan hit the ground and did not move. The grass crowded around his limp body, trying to awaken the blacked out boy.

Haku descended low enough for Aran to leap off. His bond tumbled a little, but was soon up and racing to the fallen girl. Without awaiting an order, the white wyrm turned his attention to the kidnappers, snarling quietly and giving chase.

Is lady Senka all right? De'carn asked Sybrant, changing his course to go to the fallen humanoids.

Versel watched Riten as he rid of his 'passengers', watching them both fall to the ground. "Good, now lets get the hell outta here." Using as much of his reserve stamina as he could summon, Versel picked his speed back up.

Senka's eyes widened as she was suddenly flying through the air. She tried to change in midair, but smashed into the ground before she had the chance. Her eyes closed as pain lightly pulsed in her shoulder, her ears twitched as she tried to regain her scrambled senses from the fall.

I--I think so. For a moment, Sybrant headed towards her fallen Bonded. Senka? ...Senka?! She growled, changing her direction towards where Senka's kidnappers had fled. She could feel Senka was alive, but there was no way she'd let them go.

Haku gave up chase a few moments later, not wanting to leave Aran alone for too long. He landed a few yards away from the others, walking the rest of the distance. It was by pure ignorance that he gave a small kick to the unnoticed member of this little party, glancing down as something groaned.

Aran looked over as someone else groaned, walking over to spot a boy who seemed older than him. Reaching down, he pulled the mask off the lad's face, freeing him to the fresh air.

Brytan's breathing steadied, his eyes cracking open. Upon seeing two large shadows above him, his gaze snapped shut again. He didn't want to deal with them again. What had happened? Why did he ache and have a headache?!

Lady Senka? De'carn asked quietly, shifting from side to side, waiting for the halfling to wake.
PostPosted: Fri May 04, 2007 7:42 pm

Sybrant slowed her speed, snarling aloud as her vision lost track of the pair. Damn them... She turned around, claws digging into the earth, before sprinting as fast as she could towards the small group.

A small groan emmitted from her throut, giving a signal that she was alive and awake. De'carn...? That you..? She didn't bother opening her eyes, or even speaking aloud. It took more effort then she wanted to give at the moment. Senka listened, hearing the rustling of the grass as forms moved. She only hoped that the dark elf and tiger lycan were really gone, and they were safe...

Lady Senka! Are you okay? He nosed lightly at her, stepping back as Sybrant arrived.

Darkies, there's another one over here. Haku informed them both, hovering with Aran over the boy.

((This post is the worst one in History. Let it be shot.))

Senka cracked her eyes open, her vision swimming before her before starting to straighten out. She could make out De'carn's and Sybrant's, and a smile cross her face.

Sybrant gently nuzzled Senka's shoulder, nearly knocking the girl over again as she tried to sit up.Words couldn't grasp how relieved she felt that the half lycan was alive and well. Her silver gaze flickered to Haku, before looking down at the form near the two. What of it, snakey?

Carefully pulling herself into a sitting position, she smiled at De'carn. I'm fine, De'carn. She looked over at the White Wyrm, then down at the form that lay near him. The strange elf...? Resting a hand on Sybrant's shoulder, her other hand still looking for another support, Senka slowly tried to stand.

I don't know. I thought it might interest you seeing as it got let loose with your bonded. But you know what? I don't give a damn anymore. He looked hurt, but I guess since your little girl's safe, I suppose he doesn't need to be glanced over. Hope he enjoys hell. Haku snapped, looking over the boy who was breathing quietly. Aran, he said privately, he's awake.

Aran nodded, nudging the boy with his hand.

He didn't want to get up and run. What if it was the sunlight? Better that he die here. Better that he die with his dream of freedom. The plants said he was safe, but Brytan refused to believe it. It was... too good to be true. When they wouldn't leave him alone, he closed his mind off. Freedom...

De'carn offered his wing to Senka to help, watching the young woman. He looked at Haku, growling quietly, Quit being stupid, snake.
