"Ivellios... you're a fool, and has anyone ever told you, monologuing is what gets most megalomaniacs killed." Will smiled, sounding like something Tyrin would say. "Ivellios, I'll also have you know I'd kill Tyrin if it met stopping you, though I doubt it would." Will studied the energy, he knew his jar was full, and he could make another, but he could tell this power was not normal. Luckily Will had a plan. He allowed only one of this emotions to break his normal solid barrier, it wasn't fake, but perhaps... fear took hold of Will, his eyes darting, hands shaking, his voice quivered. "Please, don't hurt me." His normally joyous blue eyes, were now gray, devoid of that optimism. "I'll do I anything, I beg you.... STAY AWAY!" tears streamed. Will fell to his knees hands fell solemnly flat to the floor.

Ashen saw Ivellios c**k the arrows, but had a hard time seeing them once they were in flight. More out of instinct then anything, Ashen pivoted slightly, and the arrow missed the joint of his wing, instead passing through the thin, skin-like membrane, leaving a clean whole in it's wake.

Where as Ashen could barely see the arrows in flight, Raithe couldn't see them at all. She did see him knock the arrows, however, and expecting an attack, brought her arms up to cover her face and chest. She took the arrow to the gut, another skimmed her arm and hit her broken collarbone, one of the others hit her shoulder, while the second passed over her, and the one going for her head hit her arm, blood spattering out of the wounds. She had bent her knees slightly, but it was enough so that the arrows aimed for her knees missed their mark and hit just over them. When it was done, she collapsed forward to the ground, pain jolting through her entire body.

Ivellios, to Ashen and Raithe
Ivellios didn't stop there. With an exagerrated sweeping motion using one arm, Ivellios formed an arc from the floor to the ceiling. As if lifting a veil from a masterpiece, ten monstrous figures took shape following the path of his arm. Starting at the clawed feet and curved tail, working upwards to their toothy jowls and horned heads. They were ten red Dragons, twice the size - if not more - than Ashen.

"And for you, my child.." Ivellios took a step to Raithe. A thought was enough. Her body lifted, arms extended outwards, legs hanging limply downwards. It was the gruesome image of a crucifixion. But that wasn't all. Raithe slid through the air, slowly upwards. Another object came into being just behind her, pressed flat against her back.

It followed the path of her arms and legs, and extended just above her head. The the smaller details could be seen. This new object was shaped as a crucifixion cross, although much more morbid in design. It was not carved from wood, but rather thicks, thorn-covered vines riddled with blades the size of one's fingernail, sharp as a guillotine.

"This is my gift to you." He whispered softly.

Ivellios, to Tyrin and Will
The swirling lights in either of Ivellios' palms condensed, solidifying into two greatswords. His greatswords, of course: Salvation and Damnation. "See now, your judgment before your very eyes, and let fate choose your path." His voice was as smooth and steely as ever, but this time with an almost otherwordly overtone. His words seemed to echo dully off the cold walls, and resonated throughout the entire room. His words were law.

Ashen glances around at the ten dragons, bracing his stance and bearing his teeth. He knew this was the end of it, but he wasn't going down without a fight. He was all out of tricks, but he still had his natural, built in weapons in the forms of his teeth, claws, tail, and brute strength.

Raithe, once again, wasn't so lucky as her partner. She had no more tricks, and the weapon that she had made of her body was broken and bleeding. She hung to consciousness by a thin thread that was slowly being trimmed away. She tried to struggle against what was holding her up, but put up a pretty weak struggle.

((Just to annoy brad, this is going to be a very hard post, as Will as done nothing to my memory worth being judged upon.))

Will stared blankly at his friend Tyrin, fear and tears swelled in his eyes, Last Judgement was not a pretty spell. Sadly there was a present for Tyrin too. After Will's hand had touched the ground for the seconds it took for Ivellios to monologue, and the ground became stickey of sorts... except a special kind of stickey. The emotions that Will had been allowed the breakthrough the surface that was Will, were real, but easily supressable. They would simply either make Ivellios pity, or question Will's actions. Making him falling to his knees placing his hands on the ground for support seem natural. This spell made it so not only could you not move from the ground but spells were rendered useless if somatic components were involved, including scrolls. Though Will also knew his ability to defeat the Judgement was high, he'd been filled with guilt from that one spell he plagerized from Tyrin. Memories litterally flashed before his eyes, blinding him, overwhelming most of his higher brain functions. The man and woman he had killed in a last resort, his teacher's death caused by a loss of his emotions, the times he had spoken ill of comrades and meant it, small things that his conscience and guilt had long since forgotten, resurfaced with a vengeance. Will threw up, his mind cloudy, he couldn't think straight. All those horrible things he had done, he'd never apologized, his 3 murders. He couldn't quite cope with them and vomited once again. Will glanced at Tyrin, his eyes were strong, but racked with guilt.

Ivellios, to Ashen and Raithe
As one, the ten dragons drew air, seconds later unleashing their killing breath upon Ashen. The smaller dragon's form was engulfed, lost in the pyre. Knowing that would not be enough, Ivellios planned ahead.

Holding out his palm, Ivellios condensed reality itself in the space above his hand. It seemed to want to digest anything - everything - around it, swallowing it whole and crushing it....but it did not move by itself. It's path was determined by Ivellios, and he knew exactly what to do with it.

By his will, the singularity sped forwards, plunging through the lower torso of one of the dragons, which unleashed a shriek the likes of which was not normally heard by a creature of such grandeur. It toppled to the ground, dead. The singularity continued, diving into the depths of the fire surrounding Ashen.

Ivellios, to Will
It was done. Fate had taken it's course.

Tyrin staggered to the ground, his entire body pounding. He could hear the beating of his heart clearly in his ears, every pulse causing him to tremble. Tyrin drew in heaving gasps of air, as if he had just been strangled to the point of unconsciousness. Stop it...STOP! His thoughts pleaded for it all to end, for the pain and suffering to leave him...

And it did.

Tyrin slumped to the floor, completely still. The room returned to normal - as normal as such a room could be - and a hole opened up in the middle of the floor, leading down into the main chamber below. It was done.

Ashen was completely unaffected by the blasts of breath weapons at him. They were from red dragons, and he was immuned to that element. Though he wasn't sure why Ivellios would order such an attack on him at first, he soon found out. It was nothing but a distraction from his greater attack, one that made one of the great red dragons collapse dead just by touching it.

Not liking how it looked, Ashen thought of what he could do. It was quite small, but as big as he was, it would still be hard to dodge it. Then an idea came to him, and he immediately put it into action. He caste another spell and right away his form began to fade away, like it was evaporating. Soon, his entire self was nothing more the a great gaseous form. He condensed himself to take up less space, and prepared to take evasive action.

Since he was busy with all this, he was completely unaware of what had become of Raithe....

Shadow turned his eyes away from the duel as a hole opened in the ceiling of the room he was in. Curious he snuck towards it and activated his boots, cautiously levitating through the hole. As he levitated through the hole into a new room he immediately saw Tyrin, and Will. Neither looked good. "What happened in here?" Shadow looked around cautiously as the words headed into the two sages minds.

Ivellios, to Ashen and Raithe

One could say it had all been a dream. Or, another might argue it was the mind's imagination playing all-too-real tricks. It was neither dream, nor fantasy, and certainly not desirable...right until the end, everything was real.

The flames vanished, all ten dragons with them. The singularity, Raithe's cross of thorns and blades, everything - gone. The room itself stayed the same, although the fire-light dimmed momentarily, and an ominous hole split apart a twenty-foot diameter circle in the ceiling.

Ashen and Raithe's wounds healed, unprovoked, and everything was as it had been.

Ivellios was no longer there.

Raithe looked around the room, not quite sure what to make of everything. She stretched her shoulder to find it was working good as new, and she wasn't wounded anywhere, like they had never existed in the first place. She turned her gaze over to Ashen, who returned it, seeming equally confused.

Raithe suddenly got extremely angry, as the justs of what happened came to her. "What the hell is the point of fighting us if you just undo it afterwards!?" She said heatidly.

Before she could continue, Ashen stepped infront of her and nudged her with his nose. "Calm down, it doesn't matter. We're alive to fight another day, and that's nothing to be angry about." Raithe opened her mouth to protest, but before she could speak, Ashen grabbed the back of her cloak with his teeth and lifted her onto his back.

"Let's go find the others." He said calmly as he let her go and faced the whole in the ceiling. Going into a run and giving a massive down stroke with his wings as he lept into the air, Ashen and Raithe flew up the hole and into what lay beyond.

Will staggered to his feet. His eyes very blank, he didn't look to be in the best shape. "Never been better Shadow thanks for asking. Tyrin had one of his fits where he gets possesed by entities with the entent to kill not only him, but his comrades. Nothing to be worried about." Will looked down at Tyrin, not one of his highest moments either. "Tyrin get up, breakfast is ready." Normally that' all it would take to get Tyrin out of a coma. Man was the guy a pig.

"Soveliss, I think we've had a long enough staring competition. If you want this scroll, once we leave this building, a fight to the death. I suppose this should be more to settle a score of old friends, but you'd never be interested in that. So I fight to settle the score, you fight for the scroll. We're all winners." Eragia never faltered in eye contact with Soveliss, he knew he'd kill him for the scroll, not that he needed the excuse.

Soveliss smirked at Eragia's comment. "Why wait?" He had no qualms with a fight to the death. Certainly not with this man, long ago broken away from the short list of people whom Soveliss would rather not kill, even if he had to. Although Eragia's offering of the scroll was not so tempting as the thrill of battle, the warmth of blood...

He beckoned to the old man with his only useful hand, the other one hanging from a pouch on his back. "Make your move." If given the choice, Soveliss preferred not going first. It was always more exciting to be surprised by something one's opponent might do. Of course, then there were some combatants who fought predictably, and whom weren't very amusing to fight or kill..but he knew Eragia better than that. The man would definitely have something up his sleeve.

His single preparation was digging out the staff-piece of his scythe from his robes, crackling to life with dark energy as it breathed new air.

Eragia concentrated hard, he'd only get one chance. Eragia slammed his fist into the ground, non-lethal shockwaves were sent in every direction. Of course, when Eragia lifted his hand from his location on the floor, appeared a rather small hole. Barely able to fit a small rodent. Out popped the head of an armadillo, rather cute and small. Eragia bent down and whispered something in the armadillo's ear inaudible to even an elf ear. The armadillo nodded, and burrowed underground. "She was always the cute one of the family..." Eragia spoke solemly speaking mockingly of the past.

Soveliss didn't immediately take up the offensive. Instead, he focused inwards. Necromantic energies welled up within him, and he released them, filling every unliving cell that made up his body, empowering them. His skin bubbled and hardened, his muscle mass increasing.

He felt the power coursing through him and reveled in it, thrived on it...Soveliss knew the added protection wasn't likely necessary, but it was better to be prepared than nothing more than a severed head.

"Is that all you've come up with after four years? You never were the one with a steep learning curve." Soveliss mocked him, grinning devilishly.
