Ani sat on a low branch of an ash tree,her legs swinging freely under her and the Wonderland breeze tickling her legs.She had her bow slung over one shoulder,and her quiver hanging off of a branch just within reach.It was hot out,so her and Alumi had decided to take a break among the cool branches,realxing against rough bark.
She wrinkled her nose and coughed as smoke trickled down from a branch below her,making her smile.She glanced down at Alumi,a branch below her,eyes closed and grinning,as if listening to someone tell him a good joke.Of course,as he laughed,his fire got out of hand,causing her to coungh again.
"And what,may I ask,is so funny?"She questioned,prodding him in the shoulder.

Alumi gave a start,and glanced up,brushing his hair out of his eyes,but still smiling slightly."Oh,nothing.Just some people who ran into a tree that had some personality.Apparently it's giving them a hard time."he chuckled slightly.Meela grinned widely,perking her ears and listening to the faint sounds of commotion.Alumi could hear it much better with his ears.
"Might consider giving them a hand?Or leave them to make friends with the wilderness?"he asked,waving away an annoying trickle of smoke as it wound around his head,and floated up to hang in the sky as an annoying black shadow.Honestly,they had no stealth with him laughing or talking.Every time,smoke.

"Bet you five bucks they don't get free."muttered Ani,as they lurked on the edge of the clearing,watching the tree thoughroughly defeat them.It was quite amusing actually.
Ani leaned against a tree,her bow in hand and her quiver on her back.Strangers to her deserved to be treated iwht caution.

"I'll take that bet.They don't seem nearly as imcompetent as you think."
Alumi considered for a moment.
"I'll give them an four hours to get free."he said generously,smoking a few rings thoughtfully."If they get out before them,we owe them ten bucks."he said,yawning and leaning against the bark of the treetrunk,,once again up in the branches.Alumi had a clear view of the small clearing and the obviously homocidal tree from here.He hated being on the ground.Or indoors for that matter.[

"C'mon!Get that tree!"Ani cheered at the group,for no apparent reason.They weren't going to get free anyway.She paused,and then looked up at Alumi.
"Wait...Trees don't like fire do they?"she said slowly,smiling understandingly.

Alumi smiled mischeviously.
"Why,I have no idea what your talking about."he said,chuckling and blowing a small flame.He gave a surprised start and put out the small twig that had started smoldering,ignoring Ani's cackles.

"Ah!There we are!Gettin' a little riled up there.Thats the way to do it!"she cheered,hooting and stamping her feet as if she were at one of the old football games she still remembered from her real child-hood."Give it to 'im!"she cheered,punching the air with a fist.She loved any spectator sport really,scheduled or otherwise.

Alumi tended to get embarressed to be seen with her at any type of battle.
Alumi managed to control his breath and settled it back to normal,with a few small smoke puffs every now and then,and settled comftorably against his tree,eyes half shut sleepily.He was sure he'd get his five bucks.
