"Wow you must really like that book." She observed, sketching away. "What's it called?" She asked.

"Uhh... "He cleared his throat again "Wizard's First Rule. It's very good" He kept his voice low as he assessed the situation. He pulled the pillow and put it onto his lap as he sat up, he was still a bit pink, but he hoped not enough to notice, at least his hair would cover his bright red ears.

"Ah really? I'll have to read it sometime, since you seem to like it so much." She smiled, finishing her sketch. She hurried over to him, "what do you think?" It was a naked woman sitting on a rock in the outdoors.

"V..very nice." He turned bright red again and looked at his book. "I didn't know you could draw so well."

She smiled and closed it with a snap, then quickly reopened it, shuffling through a few of the drawings, most of them the female body. "Thanks...I had to study art as a child and it grew on me. I love practicing the female body." She laughed. "Because it's quite easy to get references. All I have to do is look in the mirror." She smiled.

"Mmm I could teach you sometime, it's not hard. It sometimes helps to study the people around you. You know, go out into the market and climb a tree and just sit down, watching people. I used to do that when I was little."

He nodded still avoiding eye contact with her or even looking at her. "I can imagine. Practice makes perfect."

She noticed that he wasn't even looking at her when she spoke to him.
She sighed very heavily thinking, boys and their novels. And headed over to the bed where she plopped down and began to write again.

"Do you have any drawing of yourself in that book?" He looked at her, obviously a bit mbarrassed, but curiousity had gotten the better of him.

"Yep." She tossed him the sketch book. "You can't tell it's me though, I never draw the head on the body. I just draw a bald head and sometimes eyes or a mouth."

He just left it sitting where she'd tossed it on the couch. "Oh no I was... just asking... I don't want to pry or anything, just curious." He set the book down and looked to her, his freckles still hidden under the blush of his cheeks. "Ok Nika, I was really wondering because well You're very pretty and a really nice girl, and well... I like you... a lot.... I just thought you should, in case you ever think I'm acting strange or anything." he nodded and got up quickly going into the bathroom and shutting the door behind him. He sighed Yeah that went well! C'mon why can't I be all smooth like Richard! Or at least be handsome and strong.... He leaned against the counter waiting to see if she'd say anything or leave. He felt like a complete idiot.

She just smiled and chuckled a bit.
"Well of course I knew that, silly." She grabbed up her sketch book, sat on the sofa and started to doodle with her charcoal again. "I kind of figured that the night we went partying at the Underground. Although most guys these days act like that toward me and Ashling. I wasn't too surprised." She continued to doodle, flippantly.

He smiled and washed his face taking a drink from his cupped hands, well at least she didn't flip out, and he probably wasnt going to get knocked on the head. He went back out. "So you like me too?" He sat on one end of the couch looking at her as she sketched with a nervous smile.

She raised an eyebrow. "I like you. You are a good traveling companion." She said nothing more and continued to sketch.
