Austin looked at Janelle and said, "yea.. I guess.. but she could just be having a bad day.. I wonder why.."

Xxpandas_say_rawrxX Audry whirled around quickly and parried her attack. She then did a complicated move which was this: She hit the hilt of Miranda's sword, twisted, then took her sword away and swept her sword under Miranda's feet, causing her to lose her balance. Audry's sword ended up inches away from Miranda's unprotected neck in a matter of milliseconds.  'I don't think Audry even triggered the blessings of Cousin Athena, yet...is it connected with how frequent she'd use her sword in the front-lines?' Miranda thought, as she was surprisingly slow against how the neck was exposed, considering that Audry managed to remove Miranda's helmet, which was supposed to be enough to protect her neck from stabbing or decapitations. Miranda realizes there might be no way to get the sword back without even using deception or her psychic powers, to her dismay, as Miranda goes to ask, "So cousin, dare i ask how did you get blind?" as she said the question outloudly, hoping not to offend Audry.  Miranda goes to realize this might be a better time to trigger her shield, and soon, but it must wait, because she needs to know the truth.

Kitty listened earnestly. She had always wanted to know how Audry had got blind, but had not dared to ask, in fear of offending her. Now Miranda had asked, and Kitty was all ears.

"Huh.. well let's just hope that it doesn't turn into another Romeo and Juliet." Austin said, thinking about how he would feel if the one he loved had died.

Audry sighed and sat down on the ground next to Miranda. "Well.. I was at an interview for Harvard, they had accepted my application and wanted to get to know me better like all colleges. When I entered the lady's office the woman closed and locked the door. She turned around and looked at me, she asked me if I knew anything about the Greek gods and I said that I knew some. She then told me that my mother was Athena and when I tried to question her farther she had turned into a monster and was on top of me. I would have been dead if a satyr hadn't heard my shouts and broke down the door. When the satyr came the monster was surprised and accidentally knocked over a vial of some liquid. It poured into my eyes and my eyes felt as if they where on fire. Well I fainted and I'm guessing that the satyr had destroyed the monster and he carried my back to camp where I awoke when we where half way up Half Blood Hill. He told me the whole story after I had calmed down from panicking about waking up and seeing nothing but darkness. He said that he had tried to give me some Ambrosia and Nectar to heal my eyes but it didn't work, I actually almost burst into flames from the amount of Nectar and Ambrosia that he had fed me!" Audry said, managing to spare a wet chuckle. It was wet because she was crying, tears had started pouring from her eyes around the middle of her story.

As Austin heard Audry's words and saw her crying her went over to her side and sat down beside her. Putting his arm around her he said, "It's okay Audry. That's part of the past now." He smiled at her, "anyways, if not for that experience we would never have met."

Audry smiled at him, "Thanks Austin, and we would have still met, but it doesn't matter now." Audry sighed and wrung her hands as an odd and frustrating thought struck her. "Couldn't my mom help me out? Don't the gods have extraordinary powers like that?"
