Kitty slapped her forehead. "Ohmigods! I forgot!" She looked up at the star-lit sky and said "I'm so sorry Lin. Happy birthday. I hope you're alright up there. "

Nat smiled and looked up at the sky, too. Happy birthday, old friend. . . "Hey, you remember how she used to tease us both together? Well, she should see us now." He wrapped an arm around Kitty's shoulder and held her close.

Kitty laughed, she remembered all right. And, at that moment, it felt as if all the worries were lifted off her shoulders and she sat, with only Nat and the countless stars which reflected the past.

Kitty's eyes widened as she remembered Scipio. She looked at him with tears in her eyes. "I'm so sorry. . . " she whispered and got up and ran away from the beach, tears streaming behind her. If she spent time with one of them, then the other would hurt. This wasn't fair.
((Oh, yay! Yeah, I know. . . awkward. . . ))

Scipio sighed and looked after Kitty with sadness in his eyes. He then turned to Nat, the sadness replaced with fury. "Now look what you did!" He growled at the boy, standing up and glaring down at him.
((ahh, it seems like Scip here has a bit of jealousy! .. or anger manegement problems..))
