Willow didn't want to leave Silhaku behind, but he seemed distant and she didn't want to pressure him into revealing what was wrong. So, she started off towards the direction of the Institute with Teagan at her side, trying to fight back the strange mood swings she was currently having. She felt unusually down and wondered if it had anything to do with leaving her new partner behind after only spending a few hours with him. But Teagan's presence was a calming one and it made her inner conflicts less difficult on their walk.
In an effort to ignore her emotional unbalance, Willow offered a conversation. "What missions have they been sending you on? Didn't they give you a partner as well?" Not seeing anyone else accompanying him confused her. Eternal were very strong beings indeed, but very seldom did the Institute allow their new creations to leave and fight "the good cause" on their own.

"We is we, you shouldn't need a dictionary," Bane replied more out of fact, then defend his choice to stay with them for a little while. Unintended rhyme? He had lowered his gun to the point to where he was holding it with one hand at his side. Of course, he wasn't holding it loosely, he wouldn't ever lower his guard that much. Though, his movements were starting to look human. There was even a rise and fall movement, simulating breathing. "I don't have much to do until the Institute's gone except get rid of it and its pets, but I can't effectively do that alone. Nearly all the halfway decent rebel fighters are either away, in hiding, or were killed early," he said, explaining why he had made his decision. He was basically saying he was looking for willing fighters to help him strike at the Institute or their more loyal Eternals, or at least a way to find them. Of course, he might be able take most individual Eternals on his own, if he prepared right, but he'd prefer not losing another body. Maybe he could recruit his only living relative should he come visit soon.

Excelent. Caitlin thought. Two of the Eternal's are leaving. This should even up the odds a bit. Just then, something came into Caitlin's telepathic range. It's probably one of the people I ran into earlier, but I'll just make sure...... Oh no... Not him. Caitlin thought to herself. Her cousin Michael was nearby, and they got along about as well as a cat and a dog. They were exact opposites. Caitlin was antisocial and moody, and Michael was charismatic and cheery. They were like real siblings to the extreme.

"So that leaves you with the very few half-way decent rebels that aren't tied so much with Retribution that they have vanished, right?" Kri asked, head still on paws, "And what, exactly, happens after you remove the Institute's pets, hmm? What does that mean for those of us who have been trying to just survive out here against them?"
Kri wasn't a hopeless optimist like a lot of the rebels seemed to be. His mother had told him stories about how life really was when civilization still showed some semblance of normality for her, and she and her friends still had to fight hard to survive amongst the Institute and the regular humans. At least only one side had superior fire-power then.
With a rumbling sigh, Kri returned his eye's focus to the sky. An ear was still turned to the robot, listening for anything that would signal an attack, but not really expecting one. "What will you do after your current goal is accomplished?"

((is there a reason why no one's posting? I mean yeah, we all need to have a life, but you could just put up a small post once in a while. Just to keep the story going.)) Michael walked a bit farther. Not having any psychic abilities, he had no real idea whether or not he was going toward Caitlin, another Eternal working for the Institute, or an unknown third party. His sense of direction picked unkown third party. Hearing voices a ways away, he went towards them. Oh, it's Kri! Michael thought, recognizing the morph. Perhaps he's seen Caitlin... Michael jumped onto a low lying tree branch, and then proceeded to fly a short ways into the clearing, now on a higher up branch. Putting on his most angelic smile, Michael adressed the three there. Hello! Would any of you have happened to notice a woman with wavy black hair and golden eyes? He was hoping the blackness of his wings wouldn't throw them off.

((Coma's got college kicking his a**, so he's put this all on hold until that gets back under control. I might take control of his charrie in a passive way so that I can move again soon. I'm waiting for people like you guys to post, and I think that's what everyone else is doing too. This one never really took off too much, sadly.))
Kri shifted his good eye to the pseudo-angelic form in the tree. Michael...
"You mean Caitlin? Yes, we saw her. You've just missed her, actually... She went that way..." He turned and faced the direction of the burning buildings, "Towards the burned-out buildings. If you look for her, she should still be close enough."
Kri shifted again. He was getting impatient and wanted to be doing something, not just sitting around and waiting for some more people to stumble upon his little group. There was something along the lines of 15 minutes before he took Jek and they vanished into the city.

((Mmmmeh. I apologize.
I'm gonna post both here and seclusion soon. Right now college is kicking /my/ a** a little bit too. As soon as I no longer have two essays to write, an abundance of math homework, and some other things, I should be good to go. In the mean time, I might be able to get on for more than five minutes to post something here and there-- like right now. And bt-dubs, Willow and Tegan are heading thier way.))
"Oooh. Nothing that special." Teagan shrugged in a non-commital fashion, absently rolling his tongue over his teeth as if in thought. "They've been sending me after some fairly elusive altered that they've been wanting dead. Ha. It's why I'm gone for such long periods of time... this last guy," here he laughed bitterly, motioning to the various wounds scattering his body. "Oh, he was something special alright. Took me a few weeks to track him down, and longer than I would have liked to kill him." After which he shook his head, regaining all of his previous pep and sunshine. "No. No they havn't assigned me a partner. There aren't very many plain /altered/ left working with Institute you know? If they placed me with an eternal, it would make my job boring. Lukcily, you seem to be enjoying your partner, yes?"

((Oh, okay then. I was just looking for some sort of explanation, so no need to apologize. I'm a freshman in high school right now, so I'm not getting my a** kicked to hard, and am able to get on here just about everyday (the joys of having no life).)) Thanks Kri! Michael said before flying off again. He didn't recognize the two men with Kri, but really didn't care about that. Michael landed a bit closer to the burning buildings, and walked around the perimeter, waiting for Caitlin to try to telepathically strangle him.... or something

((Since we're on the topic of why certain people arn't posting, would anyone happen to know what Dyron's situation is? I really need him to post so that my character can move along in the plot. Thanks.)) Telepathically strangle you..... Did you come up with that one all by yourself? Caitlin thought to Michael. She hated when he tried to be witty. Or when he didn't for that matter. What are you doing here? Don't say you didn't know I was on a mission. If you didn't, you wouldn't have come here. Caitlin thought Icily. It wasn't that she hated Michael, In fact it was just the opposite. He was her only family, so she would always look after him. Michael knew just how to push her buttons, and Caitlin didn't like her buttons pushed. At all. Caitlin used her telepathy to navigate towards where Michael was. When she got to him, Caitlin put her hands on her hips, and adressed him in a tone that would suggest that she was in fact the eldest one. What the hell do you want Michael? Are you here to annoy me? Because If you are, you've done your job.

She's so cute when she acts all mature! Michael thought. When most people met him and Caitlin together, they usually assumed that she was older than him. Michael was actually older than her by two years. Well, I was going to annoy you after you'd finished with your mission. Maybe I'd help you out a bit if you asked nicely.......

Caitlin narrowed her eyes at Michael. She currently had her telepathy on full blast, so she could hear the thoughts of anyone who came in her range. Michael was definitly in her range. I don't need any help. Caitlin said as she started to walk away. Follow me if you want, but if you do I'm just going to ignore you.

Willow shrugged and sighed. "He's okay. Very distant, you know?" She rubbed her eyes and yawned. "He's not as happy as I am, but he's very nice to me. It's more than I could ask from him, really." As they continued to go, Willow kept a look out for any rebellious Altered either following them or in the area. Her senses were starting to fail her and only a few minutes after she had been speaking, she stopped running and placed a hand on her forehead. "Teagan, I'm not feeling too good." She searched her arms and her legs, trying to discover what was making her feel so strange. Placing a hand on her ankle, she found a small patch that was stuck to it. The removed it and brought it up to her face so she could look at it. "I've heard of these things. They steal your energy or something- it's a patch the rebel scientists have created. But how did it get on me?"

Teagan nodded in a knowing way, and gave her a small smile. "Well, that sounds alright, then." Moments later, that happiness evaporated into concern as he dropped, observed her ankle-- unmarked save for some adhesive marks. Cussing mildly, he rose and upright, and sratched his head in a puzzeled fashion. "Have you been in any close combat situations today? I mean... maybe some one stuck you?" He then cast his gaze around as if looking for the perpetrator, before saying to Willow, "can you walk? Or should I we rest, or I could give you a piggy back....?" ((Just to let the others know, we are walking in thier direction))

((whose direction? Mine and Kuruizaki's, or Senko, Coma, and Crucio's?)) Michael stood there for a bit, wondering if he should follow her or not. Ah, what the hell? Michael began following Caitlin, and would continue so until he felt like stopping. So..... I heard you met Kri? Michael said, trying to start some form of intelligent conversation.

Willow shook her head, trying to speak. "No, no- I'm fine. But I think it must have stuck to me when we were attacking one of those bases, or perhaps one of the rebels stuck it on me." She stared at her ankle where the patch had been. "I'm just tired is all. I think we should continue, I'll be fine." She looked around too, suddenly paranoid that someone was following them. "It might be a tracking device," she wondered aloud.
