(( er sorry, i here now o-o .. ))

She glanced at him for a moment before standing and grabbing for her katana. "..Be careful..." she whispered as she handed it over to him.

The blade pulsed for a moment before going silent once more, Shikyo simply stood to the side, watching the mage.

((Somebody call for Chaos?))

Leaping through through air, Matthew's body flickered as it flashed past the lights and shadows of passing windows. Hands snapping out to wrap around the shoulders of a grotesquely rotten woman, the boy twisted his entire body in midair, snapping her fungal spinal column in two. Landing in a skid through the snow, the silver-haired Lycan flipped off coiled legs over the outstretched arms of yet another of the walking dead, silver longsword gleaming in the nightlight like an unforgiving angel, scorging the undead shell.

Ducking under the grasp of barely-skeletal figure, Matthew's longsword disappeared as he flourished two wickledly curved daggers. Dancing new death through the streets of the city, he bore down ever closer towards the source of the undeath. Kicking one of the animated bodies straight up into the air with a staggering blow, he leaped up, slamming his heel into the creature's face hard enough to implode it's nasal cavity straight into its throat, off-color red mist bursting away from the mess of the thing's face as it keened it's agony through a fractured larynx.

Catching himself on black-gloved palms, the boy fired into a series of backflips that would put any acrobat to shame, evading the howling opressors that swarmed the small town. Catching his heels against the edge of a large fountain, he coiled his legs, exploding away from the stone adornment and into the night sky, landing atop the point of a steepled roof. Catching sight of the one he hunted out of the corner of his eye, he leaped away from the roof, piercing into the shadow of the moonless eve.

Landing softly atop the point of the cross of a tomb, Matthew's bowstring groaned as he drew an arrow across it, sighting in the back of the black figure's head across Cemetary. As though amused by the horrific reanimation in progress, Old Man Winter's breath rumbled out in a cold thunder as he laughed out a new falling of thick snowflakes over the city.

Zaelphus was pleased with the chaos that was being wrought by his undead minions as they made their way into the settlement. He was hoping that the pheonix that dwelled here would be drawn out to face him. His power was slowly being restored as some of the braver beings of the town wished to face his undead. With a quick thought he easily drained the life of the weak willed mortals.
Before he himself could join his small horde of corpses, the all too familiar presence of the lycanthrope he faced earlier was felt. With a groan of annoyance he turned to face the young creature that had wounded him earlier. Though he had hoped the wraiths he summoned could have finished off the boy, he was not surprised they did not.
Not wanting to waste any further power he drew his longsword and walked towards the lycanthrope. His dark aura intensified allowing projectiles to be redireced from making contact with him. As he approached, his arura reached out and touched a small tree in the cemetery. It died in several secounds as the life was drained out of it slowly adding to what power Zaelphus had used.
As long as his aura was up his touch could easily sape the life from any living creature, though the stronger the will the slower it took. He hoped this fight would not take long, his fight was with the pheonix and no one else.

"I must say, you certainly bring down the retail in areas you visit," The youth quipped, tossing his bow to land softly in the snow at the foot of a grave as he drew his own longsword. Drawing a black, silk blindfold from his rear pocket, he tied it snugly about his eyes, cutting off the distraction of flashing lights in the distance, tuning into a far more acute sense of vision. Sliding his left arm behind his back, he made an elegant leg, bowing to his opponant before holding his blade out perfectly straight. "Do you ever get used to the smell?" He chuckled softly, dropping the salute into a more agressive stance.

Taking the cemetary in with his mind's eye, Matthew took a steady breath, expelling the probing depression that suddenly threatened to overtake his very soul. Cracking his silver tail like a whip, he readied himself for the onset.

Ignoring what the lycanthrope had to say, he continued his approach. The dark aura that had surrounded him also spread to his sword. Raising it up he gave two quick swings, each one projecting out a dark wave of necromantic energy. The attack was not meant to cut anything but rather decay anything that came in touch with it. As he sent out the two waves he picked up his pace, readying himself to attack with the sword.

Leaping away from the headstone, Matthew twisted his body around the necromantic X, sailing through the air in a heavy downward slash. With a smile, he feinted the slash, tucking his arms back as he performed a sweeping kick upon landing, launching a large cloud of ice flakes between himself and the walking death.

"You're certainly not one for idle banter, are you?" He chuckled, locking his fingers together before taking off into a series of hand gestures. As the wind whipped up, screams and the sound of destruction leaped up from the town, the mixed scents of blood and ichor caressing his nostrils on the breeze, which suddenly leaped up into a howling crosswind.

Zaelphus gerked his head away from the flakes of ice that was kicked up in front of him. His vision was blurred for the moment, yet thankfully for the aura around him the strong wind that he found himself caught in.
Were his face visible there would be a scowl at this fight, he quickly grew tired of this young creature. His fight was not with him and yet Zaelphus was faced to deal with the youth.
Moving towards his opponent Zaelphus pointed his sword forward and focused some energy on the tip. The move allowed his to spearhead through the winds and quickly brought him to his enemy. Ready to attack with his sword his left hand released a spell that increased the decay of the area around them. The strong odor of decay, the sounds of his armour and sword, and the blindfold his enemy wore were what Zaelphus counted on to drown the scenses.
HIs left hand came forward and grabbed the wrist of the young Lycanthrope's sword arm. Followed with a single thought from Zaelphus and his aura wrapped itself around his opponent's arm. Slowly he began to sap the strength from the lycanthrope, though seeing that his enemy had much spirit Zaelphus was only hoping to weaken the youth.
While he did this he had his sword ready to strike or defend, as he finally spoke. His voice was dark, cold, malicious, and true to his equally fear inducing appearence.
" Give it up boy, you tire me with your foolish attempts to defeat me."

"Oh, I'm not trying to defeat you," Matthew laughed out loud, despite the dull ache crawling up his arm, "Just allowing certain peoples the time to realise who's come to crash the party!" With a flex of his will, white flames engulfed his arm, twisting around the blade of his sword to flicker in the crosswind. Gritting his teeth together, he ground the points of his steel boots into the soil resting beneath the snow, forcing his entire body forward.

Dropping his blade from his right hand, he caught it in his left, bringing it crashing forward against his black opponant's weapon. Growling against the man's unnatural strength, he opened his right hand, forcing it closer and closer to the shade's face, white flames licking hungrilly forward. 'They always play the scent game...' He sighed, resisting the gag reflex. A genuine smile suddenly broke out past the grimace at the thought of puking all of his foe.

As the falmes engulfed his opponents arm, it also spread to Zaelphus's hand, causing him to growl in pain. Seeing the arm move closer to his face forced Zaelphus to move his footing. Dropping his sword he shifted his weight and part tripped and flipped the Lycanthrope to the ground.
Upon doing so he brought his armour plated foot down hard on his opponents sword arm. At the same time he removed his burning hand and cast a quick spell. The spell summoned amrs and hands of the deceased to lach on to his opponents arms, legs, anything that could be held. After grinding his foot on the lyncthrope's hand for a few moments more he kicked away the sword and looked to his smoking hand. Though the armour did not show much damage, smoke could be seen coming from the gauntlet. HIs form underneath had undergone damage and he groaned from the pain. The right side of his face was also stinging slightly, though he dodged the arm some falmes did make there way to the shadowy form beneath his hood.
Bringing his foot up he brought it down again on the same arm, only higher up on it. Leaning over he spoke to his opponent, " Stay."
after applying more pressure he turned, picked up his own sowrd and walked towards the town. From what he could see with his damaged vision, his undead had the towns people scattered and were facing off against what organized resistance there was.

Gritting his teeth as his Necromantic opponant so rudely crushed his hand, Matthew blew a vaporous breath through his lips to find his center through the pulsating ache. Closing his eyes with a sniff, he allowed his boiling blood to settle. 'Could've at least left a skull to talk to...' He smiled, stilling his breath with another slowly-expelled cloud of white steam.

Wincing slightly as his wrist reset itself with a cool pop, he delicately flexed his palm, opening and closing it a few times to check for damage. Opening his cold blue eyes, thick snowflakes danced on his long silver eyelashes. As the adrenaline drained out of his system, the youth finally settled back into the countenance of a child no older than fifteen or sixteen winters.

With a long sigh, he flexed his hands before relaxing completely under the grasp of the macabre prison. A couple metres to his left, a late riser tore its way out of its grave, turning to favor the boy with a cloudy one-eyed stare. With its mindless reason, it tried to figure out why "friend" was stuck to the ground, with all of its arms all over the everywhere.

Cocking an eyebrow, the white-haired lycan favored the zombie with a fanged smile.
"Hungh?" The decomposing denizen gurgled curiously. Clearing his throat, Matthew returned, "Mluh..." Clicking its teeth together like a scolding mother—'Oh, it's female!' Matt realised—the zombie woman reached down to tug at the frozen limbs. With a chuckle, the boy closed his eyes with an easy breath, resting his body as his new ally began to dig up the arms.

Quote:
Piopi stared at the wood on the countertop, her eyes going in and out of focus."woah." she muttered. Looking around the room, she noticed someone who was just sitting there, staring into space- then she noticed the girls eyes werent open. The barmaid who was serving her seemed really jumpy, and Piopi had no idea why. Going over to her, she sat down, squeezing out the water from her hair. "Hi, I'm Piopi, why was that girl so jumpy?" She was straight to the point. Grinning, she began to wring out the corners of her clothes.

Grey-blue eyes focused on the little girl who had just sat down beside her, one eyebrow raised in mild disbelief then decided to answer the girl's question her voice cool and collected:

"Most people tend to be jumpy around me," taking in the girl's wet, disheveled appearance she questioned calmly, "What happened to you?" She watched as the girl wrang the corners of her clothes out, leaving a small puddle on the floor then signaled the barmaid to come over to them:

"Could you get this young girl a new change of clothes, here I'll pay for them," she handed the barmaid a few gold coins, who smiled, bowed her head and hurried off to get the girl new clothes.

Piopi smiled at the strange lady"gee, thanks, thats heaps nice!" she shrugged "First of all, I got mugged by some ogres, which is why I dont have any money now, then they put me in a sack, then they killed each other, so I got out, then this girl stole the sack with my money in it, so I tried to catch her, then I got caught in a storm" she took in a deep breath. She shook out her hair slightly, "but its seems okay now. I dont know where that girl went though..." Piopi snapped back to reality "so how come everyones so jumpy around you? you seem perfectly nice to me."
