"Like New York, but ten times better," Janelle started lighting up. "The best food you could ever have including your life, fabulous shopping, and the best veiws the world has to offer. We didn't stay long though because I moved around Europe a lot but I'll go back someday."

Stupid.. Stupid.. Stupid.. Darien was tempted to bang his head against the table for prying so much into Janelle's life, he wasn't always nosy, but this girl fascinated him and he wanted to know her history. Soon their plates were whisked away and replaced by a wobbling tower of what looked like jello, cream, and other tasty things that made it look like the Italian flag. . Darien took Janelle's hand, smiling gently. "Without it you are a beautiful strong girl who has stolen my heart." His smile widened as he just remembered something. "Oh, and I got something for you." Reaching into his jacket pocket with his free hand, the boy produced a velvet black box. "This is something to remind you that tonight and every night, you outshine the stars." Darien opened the box revealing a star. "You can change it into any piece of jewelry you want, or just keep it in it's original form." He explained, hoping that she would love it.

"I found out before I moved to Paris," Janelle said remembering the day. It was like a flashback surged through her eyes. "I kept nagging my dad to tell me who my mother was and why she had left me. He finally had enough and he told me. I didn't believe him at first but after he told me things started happening."

"Oh," Darien said. "I've always known. See, I don't know who my dad is. I was born in the Arabian desert all. Luckily, a friendly cyclops found me and sort of adopted me. He told me the truth about everything, he even knew who my mother was. When I was old enough, he sent me on my way to camp.." He trailed off, nostalgia of all the good times he had with his cyclopes 'father'.
