Eclipse looked at the queer woman with a look that said 'how queer.' "I did not mean that in an offensive manner. I assumed you were some sort of sorceress with a familiar. If you were you could be rated as a threat, and since you are not you're still rated at a zero to extremely small threat. I don't like having convorsation with people who are at a high threat level. Though I must say you have one smart cat, and I doubt it could do me much harm. Otherwise I would simply not recommend that a feline enter a burning building." Eclipse spoke in a tone of fact rather of insult.

Leontynne grinned, her face glowing proudly--or it might have just been the heat, as she was sweating quite profusely. She scratched Lionel under his chin and said, "Well, Lionel's very smart. I'd say he's more loyal than just about any cat I've ever met, too."

She looked around the room suddenly.

"So... uh... what now?"

Tired of waiting for Will with all these bodies Shadow finally contacted him directly. "Dammit Will we don't have all day. There are people in here who need your help so hurry up."

Turning to Leon he replied to her question. "Now? Now we wait. I just contacted Will, with any luck he'll actually hurry up and get in here."

Call waiting, he heard the urgent cries of the impatient Shadow. He began to walk up the steps of the Sharn library hoping that this girl named Rehael or Tyrin would...

((>> Not my fault. I had company over and wasn't allowed on the computer. Yes, they stayed for a whole week. XD))

"He...knew my name?" Confusing, to say the least. Not to mention creepy. But as the man Tyrin had called "Will" left, Rehael sighed a guilty breath of relief. She had experienced enough of an encounter with a creepy guy earlier, and right now she could do without. Then she looked over at Tyrin. "So, you know him? A friend?"

Tyrin blinked. He had already been looking in her direction, but apparently, the question had caught him off guard...

"Yeah. Known him for awhile. Oh yeah," He winked, "Will's not as creepy as he might seem at first. Okay?" His eyes shifted over to Will's backside, half-heartedly hoping he hadn't heard him.

Rehael laughed. His words were comforting, to an extent. And although Rael hated judging people before getting to know them, she couldn't help the weird feeling she felt towards Will. Shaking off the though, Rael nodded towards the library. "Well, hurry up!" She urged, grinning. "Stop wasting time, there are people to save!" Next moment, her back was to Tyrin as she ran up the library steps, passing Will altogether.

Standing there, staring blankly, Tyrin found himself acting odd again. He couldn't remember a time when he had found himself to be more distracted. When Rael had finally reached the door and crossed over the broken barrier, Tyrin snapped out of it.

A few long strides, and he had caught up with William. "She's got a nice backside, eh? One of the few." Tyrin patted Will on the back as he said it, slowing down to match the younger man's pace.

The inside of the monumental building had proven far warmer than outside, which by itself had been bad. To her comfort, Rehael found it got slightly warmer as she moved towards the middle of the cavernous hall. She noticed stairs to the left, a hall to the right. No one seemed to be in the room. Odd, considering how things were normally-

From the corner of her eye, Rehael picked up movement. A strangely-dressed man, garbed mostly in black leather. His most outstanding aspect, by far, would have to be the darkly twinkling mask he wore. Whoever it was, they bore no weapons, although the fact that she couldn't see their eyes still made Rehael uneasy. Even so, this was no time to have doubts. "Excuse me," she called out, her light voice ringing off the walls, "are there any wounded in this building? Has anyone been hurt?"

That dark silver mask pivoted, it's invisible eyes boring into Rael's own. She felt a deathly chill, completely overwhelming the heat in the place. Anything - everything - Rael had been feeling was suppressed, replaced instead with a single feeling, consuming her being. The name of this feeling was unplaceable, but her instincts told her to get out of there. Fast.

Will stopped for a moment to give Tyrin a second glance. Then he simply smiled and kept pace, Will loved knowing things, "You've got a thing for her don't you? You've known the girl how long? And Did I mention she's rather young?" William was doing what he did best, preaching. Will was happy for Tyrin, at least he was still human. IN all of their life Tyrin had always been the one to suggest to crazy ideas, and somehow always knew to think outside the box. Tyrin often played up his own stupidity, some of the archsages had even accussed him of breaking his vows as an archsage. William knew better, but it was always good to see how he'd handle it. William of course wasn't expecting any actual responses to his answer, and a good thing because it seems they caught up with the girl and a visitor.

Despite the dying bodies all around, Leontynne really didn't mind waiting. She was exhausted from all the work.

"Oh..." she sighed. "Well, I guess that's fine. I have nothing better to be doing, after all."

She layed down on the dust-and-ash-covered floor. She actually blended in with the bodies when she did this, and Lionel jumped up on her chest and started pawing at her closed eyelids, meowing loudly.

"She's not that young..." Tyrin mumbled. It was only a seven year difference. "Only"? That's still a pretty big gap. He reflected. Even so, magic could always change his age..."Hey, wait up!" Tyrin called out. He had stopped moving, and Will was now a few feet ahead. "And...well, okay, I haven't known her long. But that's beside the point, you're missing something right now. Just slow down and I'll tell-" The rest of Tyrin's words were lost with what he saw next.

Probably the only person he wouldn't let to see right now - with amazing timing, as always. "Oh, s**t." Him again... "The girl. Will, get Rehael out of here. Now. I don't care where you take her, just leave!" Wherever Ivellios showed up, it usually meant a monologue followed by a fight. And if that was going to happen, Tyrin would make sure it was only him who had to endure the monologue.

What...was this? Rael's mind was thick with images and memories, ranging from degrees of clarity or otherwise. Battles, adventures, conversations, deaths. Unrecognizable, all. They multiplied, mutated. Some faded, others rising in their place. Others grew more clear, forcefully making their way to the surface. There was pain, more from confusion than anything else.

Rael wished it would stop. Why was she..remembering this? None of these things had happened to her, ever. She didn't even know any of the people who now dwelt in her mind. But in each memory, she could find one similar element. She was there - or, at least, had been. As quickly as they had come flooding in, every last image shattered, dissipating into an obscuring fog-like substance in her mind, clouding all her thoughts.

Ah, so the one named Tyrin has proven himself to be of admirable character. How...unfortunate. Ivellios took a shallow bow. "A pleasure to meet you all once more. The feeling is mutual, I'm sure." Straightening himself, Ivellios jabbed a thumb upwards. "Your business, however, lies on the floor above. Not with me, I'm afraid." It was a simple as that. Nothing more, nor any less. Ivellios melted into the floor, leaving the room as it had been.

* * *

Down through the floor, and everything else until Ivellios once more found himself inside a familiar place. The so-called "tomb" of the first Primeval. As he lowered himself, his mask reflected upon the past. It showed him things, things that had happened long ago. The creation of the hallowed resting ground - a temple suited for gods.

Built deep beneath the soil to keep away from the eyes of mortals - more a benefit to them than the tomb itself. And directly underneath the greatest library of its time as tribute: All the knowledge of the world had been an offering to a god.

The image changed. A few people were now scattered about the room. It was Her. She was there. Of course, She was always there. And always would be.

Ivellios disregarded the illusions. These were things he had seen many times before...Things the world had forgotten over time, and grown ignorant to. And things Ivellios would once more bring to light for this pathetic little plane...

Slowly pacing back and forth Shadow decided to go and find Will, the mage was taking to long to get here. "I'm gonna walk a bit, I can't just wait here."

Explanation done he quickly went down the stairs into the main lobby and spotted Will, along with Tyrin and some girl. And the girl looked troubled, in fact for some reason she looked almost like his mom had after a mind reading or scrying. Weird, he wondered who this was. Maybe Will was taking so long to help her?

"Alright, we're saved!" Tyrin said, grinning. Partly because Ivellios left so easily, and partly because he had caught a glimpse of Shadow. "Here comes the cavalry." Too bad they missed the party.

Putting Shadow and whatever he wanted on hold, Tyrin turned back to Rael. He waved a hand in front of her eyes, and, seeing that her eyes were following his hand, was satisfied. "Are you alright? You look kinda...lost." There hadn't even been any comflict - she should be completely fine..

Rehael nodded slowly. "Yeah, I'm alright. Just a little... dazzled. I think. So, um...did we win?" Rael's lithe form stumbled to her knees as the words escaped her mouth, arms extende to catch her fall. "I feel like I was thrown off the lightning rail..." She whined, head still spinning.

Stepping up to her side and also kneeling, Tyrin placed a hand on Rael's shoulder. "It's okay. As soon as we check this place out, I can take you back home and you can rest. Some sleep might do you good. In the meantime, do you think you can stand?" She tried. With Tyrin's help, at first, Rehael got to her feet, one hand to her temple. After a moment, she waved off the help.

"Thanks. I'm feeling better now. So are we gonna look for my parents or what?" There was her smile again, and Tyrin couldn't help but look away; find something else to look at. He chose the stairs.

"Yeah. Upstairs would be my guess, if they're even in here. I don't see anyone on this floor."

Catching a bit of Tyrins conversation with the girl Shadow frowned. "You'd better hope they're not here, the only people alive, other than us and the others, well, they'd probably be better off dead. So can we please hurry up." Moving to the side of the stairs he just stood there. Once they went up he would.

((Tee hee I strike again.))
William slapped his forehead in absolute amazement at Shadow's remarks. My god was he that blunt as to break the news to a child that her parents had a very good chance of being dead. William sighed, he longed for a simpler time. "Something I have reflected on is, if that man ever wanted to win, we wouldn't. Now I suggest due to the graphic images upstairs we don't allow Tyrin's girlf... Rael upstairs. Of course she is of a consentual age to see anything, no matter how explicit, that she wants. Well with I must also say that I am currently of very little use in the power department. Tyrin your aid is required. Oh and Shadow if you must know none of them are dead. Not yet." Will knew a question was going to pop-up about how he knew anything, and borderline everything, he didn't have to read minds to know that, "A trick that I picked up from Soveliss, maybe sometime I'll share it with you all. After we deal with this we have to hurry for my appointment with my contact..."

Tyrin could hear Rehael's whispered reply. "Oh damn..." He furrowed his brow as he listened intently to what Shadow had to say, then Tyrin spoke up - only to interrupt himself, re-thinking what he was going to say.

"Now Rael, don't - don't worry about your parents. They're fine! I'm sure of it. Do you wanna go check? Or would you prefer to stay here?" Tyrin's expression had softened, his eyes conveying nothing but kindness. As far as he was concerned, the girl deserved as much of that as was humanly possible right now.

Rehael looked up at Tyrin, gazing into his eyes. A smirk crossed her face. "Of course I'm going. Whether my parents are up there or not. I appreciate the effort of trying to 'protect' me, Will, but it's not necessary. Really." She smiled, taking a stand. "So then, let's concentrate here! Are we gonna save those people or not?"

She sure changes moods quickly... The abrupt difference had caught Tyrin off guard. "Ah...right. Let's go, then." He waved over his shoulder, motioning for everyone else to follow him up the semi-circular staircase. With any luck, he thought, there won't be anything too serious for me to take care of. Rather not use a sacrifice if I can avoid it... The last sentence struck a chord of guilt in him, choosing his own single life over the lives of many. That feeling could be, however, quickly disregarded.

On the second floor, it was a scene no less troubling than the view of the entire building from outside - with a few exceptions. Outside had had no burning, nor mutilated bodies, looking dangerously near to death. "On the bright side, there aren't alot of injured people here.."

Four other people, looking distinctly alive and well, were waiting up there. Tyrin recognized three, but the fourth was unfamiliar. Introductions would have to wait. Dying people took priority this time.

The sight was disturbing, but Rehael found it in herself to handle it. It was difficult to tell from afar, but by the looks of it, her parents weren't there...somewhat unsatisfied, Rael jogged over for a better viewpoint. "These poor people..." She whispered. Thankfully, none she could see were any people she recognized. They didn't even look like they were from Sharn, judging by what was left of their tattered and singed clothes.

Striding over to the pile of primarily unmoving bodies, Tyrin looked them over carefully. There was a moment of hesitation, then, "I can do it. But I'm going to need a gem of some type...onyx or diamond would probably work best." His eyes swept the room. "Anyone?"

As Tyrin and the others walked up the stairs, Raithe stood, muttering under her breath something about them taking so long. She wondered why it was Tyrin who was doing the analyzing, and not Will, but then concluded it didn't matter. Help was help, and when they were done with these people, they could continue on. What a hassel.... Raithe thought to herself, letting out a sigh.

Unlike Raithe, who had enough stamina for several active people, Ashen didn't get up when the others came up the stairs. His breathing had slowed, and some of his energy had returned, but he was still worn out from using so much magic. He had never cast so many spells in such a short span of time before, and it was really taking a toll on him. All he did to even acknowledge the presence of Tyrin and the other girl was to look in their direction.

Raithe had surprisingly been listening to what Tyrin had to say, finding nothing else to distract her, but she regreted it after she heard what needed. Of course it's something valuable, Raithe thought, turning away. She didn't want to give up one of her few gems. She had gone through alot of trouble to get those. Not only that, but knowing magic, it would probably get distroyed or damaged in the process. But the people really needed to be healed.... Unable to come to a decision, Raithe only fiddled with the gems in her belt pouch as she thought it over.

At the mention of gems, Ashen immediatly turned his gaze on Raithe. He knew she had some. She always had some on her. The only question was, would she give them to him? Ashen himself wasn't even sure. Her mother had tried to hammer her morals and such into Raithe, but as a result, she only tried to be less so. Now the question was, which would win out here? Raithe's conscience, or her want to be immoral? It was almost 50-50, and Ashen didn't want to sway her decision by speaking up. He'd much prefer to see what she did on her own. As such, all the dragon did was watch her with his ember eyes.

Raithe closed her eyes briefly, taking in a breath, then lettin git out again before she opened her eyes again. Taking her hand out of her pouch, Raithe quickly marched over to Tyrin, grabbed his hand, and shoved a fist sized chuck of flawless onyx into it.

"Here, take it." Raithe said, almost angrily, frustration apparent in her sweet voice. Without waiting to see if he would grab it, Raithe turned and walked away. She wanted to get away from the gem before she changed her mind.
