Now I know I made a topic to discuss this, but... Where is our story starting? Someone breaks the accord and starts a war? If so, who? If not, where do we start?

(Mod: Answer in the appropriate topic... -DC)

So I completely redesigned the ZLE. I found that it wasn't exactly symmetrical, so I started tweaking, and then tweaking lead to complete overhaul. Now, not only is it symmetrical, but I think looks a lot more intimidating (Following that "Angular shark" look my Sith seem to have developed.)

However, since this is a new story, I think I'm just going to make this the NLK kai class.

The next problem is size. The one thing I couldn't do was scale it down. The bridge section (Which was the only portion of the ship that was right) would be too ridiculously small in the appropiated 10Km. So, for aesthetics's sake, I would like to propose that NLK (there will only be one) was decreed a "mobile Temple." and had her weapons taken offline.

Is this a satisfactory compromise?

Since I'm so proud of the overhaul, here she is:
Bridge section

port

aft

bow

I would be fine with that. However, I would also be okay with it being a ship built in semi-secrecy passed off as a Mobile Base, but intended to be a new super star dreadnought. In that case, adding weapons and fully powering the ship could be the final stage of its construction, meant to occur with the ship's revelation to the galaxy.

I have also redesigned the Angel-Victor because I discovered that to be asymmetrical. For that, I was planning to either have the ship constructed after the Accords fall through or to have it be a minimally armed mobile base since the Mirai have such population problems and it is large enough to be a starbase.

That sounds good. And my original idea was to have NLK-K be just that- secretly battleready. Also, with the Sith idea I have of "Weapons pores" it would be impossible to determine how many guns it has until they're powered up.

I like either AV-2 possibilities. The starbase one sounds a little more fitting, however.

Yes, although the primary reason for Viscious's quick rise to affluence is going to be his adaptation of gate technology to manufacturing. With that and a sufficiently sizable gate, he could create the A-V almost instantaneously, with enough power and raw material. However I agree that the alternative is more likely.

I've also been toying with the idea of bringing in a version of the Agency from the Hitman games as the ICA, just a standardized collection of top-notch assassins who specify in customer service. Killing the target when, where, and how the customer likes best and without getting caught.

I may have a way for us to have a build system that tracks ships and ship construction, but my idea involves using GoogleDocs. So I am wondering how many people have Google accounts and would be interested in using Google for the Guild.

I'm not asking for the accounts, just a yes or no as to their existence.

Nosferatu plague this time is based more on Jenova Cells than anything else. It's a virus that slowly devours a target's cells, replacing them with Nosferatu cells. These cells can reconfigure at command, allowing for shape-shift, with a default setting of the appearance of the target species.

Eventually, the amount of Nosferatu reaches a critical amount, causing what appears to be a death. This is, however, just the final stages of conversion. Depending on the strength of the host, the death could last a day to two weeks. Eventually, the host will "Wake up, all but converted.

There are, however, flaws with the plague (most likely engineered to ensure loyalty to the Protoss) a Nosferatu body cannot sustain hemoglobin, making regular blood ingestion necessary. Their skin is very sensitive to solar radiation, causing minor burns, and keeping Nosferatu cells from replicating. The heightened senses means a sensitivity to strong odors, bright lights, loud sounds etc.

For some unknown reason, the element, Silver is poisonous to a Nosferatu, much like Arsenic to Carbon-based lifeforms.
The brain and heart are, for some reason, the only organs retained by the Nosferatu- the brain, to keep the sense of self, and the heart to pump blood- the replication agent of Nosferatu cells. Similarly, the Protoss believe these two organs were necessary for the housing of one's soul. In addendum, the loss of either of these organs will result in the death of a Nosferatu,

It is important to note that, in cases of second generation (Re: Pure bloods) Nosferatu, the entire composition is Nosferatu cells- removing this weakness. Currently, Darth Oblivion is the only Pure Blood left.

Benefits of the Nosferatu Syndrome:
Enhanced physical attributes
Potent Force Powers
Shape shifting
renewing cellular tissue (leading to immortality if not fatally wounded)
Certain magical abilities

Drawbacks of the Nosferatu Syndrome:
enhanced senses are more easily offended
must regularly ingest blood of original species, lest one rapidly advance in age (physically)
Ostracized by people (typical for First Gens)
enhanced aggression and bloodlust
allergy to silver (It is hypothesized that one can slowly build up a resistance, but it would take several hundred years to safely tolerate it.
immortality-induced depression

Just a heads up to Kuro, I commented on Black Fang's F.L.O.A.T. system in the Black Fang Tech. thread. You should respond to that at some point.

I have. I hope I clearified how it works.

Not really. You don't explain how Black Fang knows about Space Fold or how the system can be low power (Space Fold requires as much power as Hyperspace). And you don't say how Tachyons make any difference to anything. Plus you don't explain anything about Iridium (which is also the name of an element, by the way).

I've got nothing against Black Fang having a F.L.O.A.T. system, but its important that it is clearly defined and understood.

The Same system of space folds is how the DragonGate works, which is a Force relic on Elibe. The Iridium (Which is the naturally occuring form of Metatron, as Metatron is the same element with two less neutrons) gives off large amounts of Tachyons, which are harnessed to powering the system. This drastically reduces the strain required for the space folds approximately 1.25 the power required for using normal manuvering thrusters. However, the Dragongate is older than even the Old Republic, and the current F.L.O.A.T. system is experimental and not 100% perfect.

That sounds better. I would say use that description and then when you've filled out the DragonGate explanation I'll look at it. And hopefully I'll start putting in the descriptions for Mirai tech soon.

DL, I have a few issues with the Imperium you're setting up:

1. First off, I think you need to tie it in to the rest of the Guild better. Maybe explain what caused the "Age of Strife".

2. How old is the Imperium and the Emperor?

3. Explain how the Emperor can be more than twice as tall as the average human (almost 14 feet tall)? And what makes him the most powerful human Force User in the galaxy? Especially since he doesn't exactly seem human.

4. How were the Primarchs created and how are they 12' 9.5" tall?

5. For the Imperium to be based in the SW Galaxy they would have had to comply with the Peace Accords. If they had not, the Peace Accords could not have been feasible.

I'm really interested in bringing the Imperium into the Guild, but I'm also looking at how we can make all this work and make sense with the Peace Accords still in effect. It may be that we will have to alter or drop the Peace Accords.

I have to change a few things in the background information about the Imperium. They are not going to originate from Coruscant, they are going to come from Terra, a planet outside of the SW Galaxy. They are going to happen upon this galaxy, lost to their records, and try and unite all of humanity under the banner of the Emperor of mankind.

Coming from another galaxy they would not be subject to the Peace Accord.

As for the other specifications and age of the Emperor and Primarchs, I plan to explain that in either the technology section or the troop section. But to surmise what I plan to say there, they are genetically altered Humans, aka Super Humans.

The age of the Imperium I plan to leave open unless you need a specific time frame.
