In BOTH the anime and manga, they, Izumi and Meroko, shared a kiss. THEN Meroko was switched to be partnered with Takuto. Meroko, according to the manga, was upset and sadly said to Izumi "...So this is your answer?", AFTER Izumi gave her new clothes and told her to meet him elsewhere with it on.
...That just makes things easier to identify me! =D
