"Oh. Yeah...." Great, he was going to have to actually use that grey matter inside of his head. Darn. He figured too much of it had been damaged by playing football, but apparently he was expected to use it, damaged or not...

Susan shook her head at them, "So, how did you feel afterwards? What was going through your minds? How as the school been talking about the incident?"

"Tired." Was the immediate answer from the twins. Kaden went on a bit more. "Everyone was confused. People that saw the whole thing seemed to have forgotten what had happened. It's kinda disappeared from conversation." The football game took priority at their lunch table.

Keagan shrugged. "I was kinda scared that we'd be caught..."

Susan took a breath, "Do you understand now, that this isn't all about fun and games? This is serious. Right now, I'm here to help you control your powers so that it doesn't get out of hand for you later. That's important, and you know why. You are not authorized to go out and try to hunt people down. Yet."

She shook her head, "What are you? Juniors in high school? Seniors? You'll be leaving that soon either way. What are you planning to do with the rest of your lives?"

Apparently now was the time to talk about more. A bit too soon for Susan's taste, but then now might end up being better. She could make them grow up before they went out and killed themselves that way.

The twins looked rather somber for several moments as the hugeness of this all sank into their small brains. They'd been lucky and were going to have to train harder if they wanted to get better at this whole superhero thing. They'd kinda brushed it off and not put as much effort into it as they did their football. This was bigger than football (if that could even be possible!).

"Seniors..." Kaden muttered, glancing at his brother. "We're hoping to play college ball for a few years, then go pro..." But, would they be able to still do that being supers?

Susan nodded, "What were you planning to study while you were in college?" She pressed, "Physical education? Sports management?" There was some sort of majors like those, though she wasn't really familiar with them, "If that is what you want to do with your lives, that is fine, but you will have to recognize that if that is your choice alone, once I am satisfied that you are safe to yourselves, that is it. You will not become a super. Not one specially trained to survive attacks anyhow. Do you realize that? Flashcharge didn't just face Bermuda one day and catch him. He trained hard, and he still barely got out with his life on more than one occasion. I could give you case after case of people who thought their powers were enough to help, but they were killed because they didn't realize how serious it could be. You can try to do both. I did, but I'm telling you, it isn't a party. Not in any aspect."

Keagan frowned. "So... if we wanted to become a super, we'd have to give up football?" Gasp, shock, how horrible! That would definately take some thinking on if it were the case. After all, football was their life. To quit would be difficult at first.

Kaden pondered for a moment. "But what would we do besides train? You can't train all the time or you'll wear yourself out..." They'd learned that from football. More than once.

"It would be very difficult to study and play football and train to be a super; however, you could mix them. Being a super isn't all about going out and fighting people. That's what Flashcharge does."

She hesitated, then continued, "I'm sure you know by now that I am Darebone. Sure, I've done some rescue missions, but I don't define myself as that alone. I am a trainer and teacher and I use what I know from being an evolved and being out on the field to help others. In school, you could study something that would aid you to become a better super, if that was your choice, or you could become involved in other branches. Or you could simply leave it behind. Being an evolved does not seal your fate. You don't have to join the agency. Some might make it out to be that way, but it isn't true. If you want to focus on football the rest of your life, that is just as much as an option for you. I don't know, maybe you can do both, training your body for football and training it for what choice you make as individuals, but you'll have to make the decision together. And, remember, if you choose college, there's the likelihood that you'll not even be accepted the the same one."

She looked at them both, but did choose not to say the remainder that was on her mind. It seemed to her that one twin was better suited as a football star than the other. It was a personality difference, not necessarily a skill difference. She wondered if they'd ever thought to think on their own.

Shoot, she wondered if perhaps there was a type of odd, siamese mental connection between them. They were probably lucky that scientists hadn't found them before the N.S.A. had.

The twins just sat back as they absorbed all that. They'd never really thought on what being an evolved could mean. Obviously not all could be supers, seeing how some powers would be hard for that. Even theirs wouldn't be the most ideal, seeing how they had no ranged attacks.

The two frowned. Realistically, not many players got to play college, much less go pro. But they'd never thought about their future more than that. And it would definately be tough if they were to split. They'd been together their whole lives. Even when they'd been little and had had no friends, they'd always had each other. When their mother was out working, they could still rely on one another for company. Even growing up, the two had hardly seperated more than was required for classes at school. Both went to the same parties and hung out with the same people.

Kaden glanced at his brother. This was the twin that would have the rougher time if they were forced to seperate. He was the quieter, the more timid and sensitive of the pair. And Keagan often listened to him when he wouldn't listen to anyone else.

This was definately going to require a lot of thought. And the two of them discussing it in further detail.

Susan nodded, "Good, I'm glad you understand." She took a breath, "Now then, you two are welcome to go. Unless there's anything else?"

The twins glanced at one another before shaking their heads slowly. The two got up and wandered out, their little brains still processing all the information they'd gotten.
