Ren blushed and shook her head. "You're a puzzle, Maester Albiore." She looked around. "Baiyu's the only one I've let see that side, and that was because he was there when that side was completely me. Then my father came home and started a fight with my mother. They enjoyed hurting each other, and I just couldn't take it anymore. I realized I'd get nowhere being the sweet child my parents intended. So I created a new me. I grew cold and distant, and only let people close enough to run them through with a blade. Baiyu stayed beside me, and helped me through the storm. We came here, and all of a sudden, I can't figure out who I'm supposed to be anymore."
Baiyu popped his head into the door. "And you say I'm long winded..."

Ren nodded her head slowly. "My life hasn't been well written, if you'd understand that. Baiyu was the only one left after those years. He once told me that I've killed over seventy four million people, but I only recall the three that hurt the most." Ren sighed. "I think it's time for Baiyu to get some sleep, since he has been busy as of late.." She smiled and nodded to the Lady. "Pleasant dreams, Maester." She turned and walked out, wrapping her arm around Baiyu's waist. He placed his hand in her back and they walked to the Black Lotus offices

Aura, along with the other birds, took a bow as Van came to the last note in his long melody. The birds flew away in a flutter, leaving the two standing far away from the other two. They hold hands as they walk down the hall to explore more of the academy. It hadn't been very long since they first arrived, and they were sure the other two maesters didn't need to be disturbed. "Brother, promise me you'll play that song when we meet Momma again..."
The elf looked down into his sister's little azure eyes and smiled," of course i will Aura, the only reason I'm here is to make Mom worry less and so that one day i can make her proud...and how can i refuse a cute lil sis' request?"
Aura covered her smile with her hands as she giggled and looked back at her brother with serene eyes.
