Her unrestrained joy was evident with every squeal and scream of delight. Se would have asked for 'more' or 'jump higher' or 'go faster' but by the time her poor father was worn out, Kandi had shouted until she was hoarse. When he stopped, she scrabbled off his back and peered up at him from the ground, face still wide with a smile.
But even fatigue was starting to catch up with her, it was evident in her little blue eyes.
"All tired?"

Mbali laughed and nodded.
"I think you need a nap now for sure. Come on!"
He then picked her up by the scruff of her neck and headed home. She wasn't going to fight going to sleep today and he wouldn't allow her to run off like her sister did every time it was nap time. Kandiko needed to rest and Mbali was going to make sure his daughter got some.

"Okies daddy," she beamed. It was true, the prospect of a nap was not nearly so terrifying as her sister made out for Kandi. She knew when she was tired. It meant she couldn't play, and that was sad. So sleep meant more energy, which meant more play!
She bounced as her father walked along and already she was starting to yawn. Sleep sounded good. Very good.
