Can you please explain the Axises? I'm not sure exactly what this refers to.
Sure, the current US diagnostic process of the DSM IV-TR uses five dimensions called 'axes' to ascertain symptoms and overall functioning of the individual. Basically, they're acknowledging that a person may have more than one problem contributing to their overall well-being. So a person's chart will have a set of axes, several of which might hold a primary diagnostic code. The current DSM IV-TR axes are as follows:
Axis I - Particular clinical syndromes
Axis II - Personality disorders
Axis III - General medical conditions
Axis IV - Psychosocial/environmental problems
Axis V - Global assessment of functioning (often referred to as GAF)

As for a name, how about a play on your popular term, Smart Alex:
"Abn0rmal: Gaians for the Mentally Ill"
"Abn0rmal: Gaians for the Discussion of Mental Disorders"
"The Abn0rmals"
"Abn0rms"
Another one, I'm not sure if this is unPC, though (sorry if it is),
"The Psych Ward"
"Abn0rmal: Gaians for the Mentally Ill"
"Abn0rmal: Gaians for the Discussion of Mental Disorders"
"The Abn0rmals"
"Abn0rms"
Another one, I'm not sure if this is unPC, though (sorry if it is),
"The Psych Ward"
Sure, those will go up on the poll when it's ready! If you think that's unPC, you should already know that there is already a Guild called "PsYcHoPaThIc FaMiLy" and another called "The united Psychos of Gaia!" Haha!
