So, I'm here, you're here, and the Guild is here! Thanks to all of you who helped make this happen! Right now, we have a tiny membership and only one banner, but that can change! Please let anyone know who might want to join the Guild that we exist! But don't SPAM the Guilds or the Sociology and Psychology Forums, please! Are you a graphics whiz? Post your graphics in this thread for people to use in their signatures! Go ahead and post a link to the Guild in your sig, if you're so inclined. Do you have any suggestions for this Guild? A welcoming graphic? Reply and let me know! Thanks again, and please start posting! The best way to make this Guild grow will be to make it active!

I am not sure, but if I have time, I can try to make a graphic, as well.
I have a question/suggestion. Do emotional disorders and developmental disorders fall under the topics discussed in this forum? If so, maybe the title "Mentally Ill" is a bit misleading.
Either way, I'm glad to see you were able to get the guild up and running. Do you need any donations? I may be able to send a little bit, if so.

Good point. Yeah, the funny thing about that is that emotional and developmental disorders are always included in the DSM as Axis I and III diagnoses. *shrugs* If I can think of a good description that will make that aspect clear, I'll update! But until then, I'm guessing the mentally-ill will know about their Axis I and III problems as well. I'm just waiting to find out what WILL be discussed! Haha! Civet Moon Do you need any donations? I may be able to send a little bit, if so. You can donate directly to the Guild fund now, if you like.

Edit 2: And my vacation to now has been long and boring... Hence, I've been on gaia more in the past week that I have on the last month xd ... Can't wait for next semester to start! whee

I was trying not to rip off the name of the big association for people with mental-illness in America, NAMI (National Alliance for the Mentally Ill). So I called it "Gains for the Mentally Ill" instead of "Gaia Alliance for the Mentally Ill. *shrugs* Names, people!

As for a name, how about a play on your popular term, Smart Alex: "Abn0rmal: Gaians for the Mentally Ill" "Abn0rmal: Gaians for the Discussion of Mental Disorders" "The Abn0rmals" "Abn0rms" Another one, I'm not sure if this is unPC, though (sorry if it is), "The Psych Ward"
