"Of course!" "Yeah!" replied the elves in unison.

"So what sort of things are you thinking of needing?" asked Rien a little sceptically. She couldn't imagine what we be much good against the two most feared men in the country at the very least.

"Well obviously a change of clothes...definately some outerwear that'll be sufficient against the elements, food, our weapons..." He paused, sensing her sceptisism. " That's all we can really do and hope for the best. I'm going to head back to the inn and grab some stuff for myself and Lyra...Why don't we meet back here in about an hour and then set out." He repeated his plan from a few moments earlier. Hearing no protest he got to his feet, boots clunking against the floor. "One hour." He said and then left the tavern, stepping out in to the already warm morning.

The elves made no answer as they went into their own thoughts. Once Waru had left, they both started discussing what to take.

"Well this cloak is suitable for all weathers," began Rien, "and all else I need is on me."

"Yeh, I've got the sword and that's about all I need other than food. I'll get some from Tank's store and leave some money on the counter." He said 'Tank' so easily, as though Theonidas had never appeared and life was as it had been before hand. Rien's smile turned down at the edges when Elure mentioned Tank and she bit her lip, turning away. "Are you OK?" Elure asked his sister.

"Yeh, fine," she replied with a slightly higher voice than usual- as though she had something stuck in her throat. She gulped quietly and started looking through the pouch at her side for the ring- as though it were the most important thing to her.

Elure squeezed her shoulder gently and affectionately, then went off to get supplies. While he was gone, Rien found a packet of cards and started dealing them out. She looked over at Lyra, but she still appeared to be asleep, so dealt only for herself and Elure. He came back in soon afterwards with a shoulder back full of food.

Soon they were into a very noisy and fast game of 'Slam'- one hand flew after another, and it was as though they each had at least three hands each.

In his haste to return Waru hadn't properly arranged the bags he was carrying and thus had to shoulder open the door to get into the tavern.

"Hey, I'm back." He announced, setting everything down on the closest table, however the siblings seemed to be absorbed in a game of slam. He took a moment to watch-he'd never seen it played so quickly.

Beside his bag and Lyra's was a bag he'd stacked full of food from the Inn's kitchens, some of which Tank didn't have at the tavern. Another bag was filled with water bottles. Of course he'd left enough money on the counter before leaving, despite the emptyness of the place.

With a sigh, he went over to the couch and knelt down so that his face was merely inches from hers. She looked peaceful as she slept and he felt regret and having to wake her soon. Instead he leaned in even further and pressed a kiss to her forehead before brushing stray strands of hair from her face. "Lyra..." He said softly, backing up as to not scare her. "Lyra...wake up. We're leaving soon."

The elves both greeted Waru, and as Elure turned around to smile at him, Rien slammed her hand down and announced that she'd won. Elure scowled momentarily, then smiled and laughed. He stood, grabbed his bag and strode over to the bar. There he left an overly adequate amount of coins for what he'd taken, and nodded to his sister.

Rien rolled her eyes and stood, checking that she'd left nothing behind. They looked over at Lyra, who was just waking up, and prepared to leave.

Waru watched for any signs of disturbance and was rewarded when her eyes stirred beneath the closed lids and then slowly opened, half-lidded. She was looking at him with bedroom eyes. He swallowed hastily and repeated the need for haste.

"I er...already packed a bag for you." He couldn't help blushing at this and her eyes widened as she realized the implications of what this meant.

" You went into my..."

"I closed my eyes and just grabbed whatever my hand touched first. I swear I respected your privacy." This seemed to reassure her-but only a little. She asked for her bag and he fetched it immediately. After rifling through its contents she nodded.

" You did a good job." She said grudgingly and he smiled like a child who'd learned to spell something properly. "But what's in the front pouch?" She asked noticing that it was heavy.

"I found some things on your nightstand so I took them incase they might be any help...I was curious as to what the hell they were."

" If we need them during the journey then I'll explain them when the time comes." She replied and stood, handing Waru his jacket back in the process. He helped her on with her bag though she needed no help and she quickly changed from her sandles into a pair of embroidered socks and the worn looking boots. "Alright." She said finally. "Let's go."

Rien smiled at the faerie, glad that she seemed all right after her sleep. When she announced that she was ready, Rien opened the door and let everyone out before her. They stepped into the street, and she shut the door behind her- breathing in the smell of the Tavern before shutting her eyes and sighing softly.

Fingering the ring in her hand, she was fairly reluctant to put it on- who knew where it would lead them? Who knew what the dangers were ahead? And who knew if they'd return? They were certainly questions running around her head, but she didn't voice any because she knew that no one would have the answers.

"Rien?" asked Elure, snapping his sister out of her thoughts. She bit her lip and looked up, then nodded. Putting the ring on her finger, she shut her eyes and thought of Nolah. Everything was empty, like a void, at first but then she slowly saw the fuzzy outline of a cat figure with a man next to her. Her heart seemed to pull towards them and she grimaced, then opened her eyes.

"It's this way," she stated, heading out of town.
