"No no no! That is so tacky! Fangirls. Ugh!" Joy moaned with false sickness at the mere thought. Raven, joining in happily on the 'tease Joy' train, added her own little pokes at Joy.

"You could always go as his twin from a opposite gender universe." She grinned and sat back in her seat to avoid the small flailing of Joy's hand back towards her head.

"You too are horrid! Maybe I'll skip halloween this year and stay home to hand out candy!"

"Ha ha ha." Raven merely laughed at Ace's gender bending comment. With his urging both of the girls shifted out of their seats, Raven on her own and Joy with a bit of help from Ace. Her belly was just protesting it's piercing terribly!

"Ugh, I think I wanna go home and just lay down for a bit. I am sure the pain will go away if I don't move around much. Maybe I'll tell mom I have cramps or something so no one will expect me to do anything tomorrow."

Joy and Raven chatted in the car, oblivious to Ace's silence. Already Raven was of the opinion that Joy ought to get a skull belly button ring that had a pink bow on it like from some sort of cartoon she had seen. Joy simply wanted something pretty that sparkled. Raven's excitement simmered down as Ace pulled up outside her house. Peering out the window she gave the run down twostory house a bit of a sour look, then thanked Ace for the treat and made Joy promise to call her later.

Joy was enjoying a warm fuzzy feeling from the days events. Getting her piercing and running into Raven had made her feel rather happy. That was until Ace sidelined her out of nowhere with his rather 'Jim like' attitude. Joy blinked at her brother, her lips parting slightly as she tried to think of some sort of response.

"Ravens not...I mean...she's not that bad Ace. She's really nice. And thats horrible to say about her. Raven doesn't do drugs or anything like that. I mean..yes... she has some bad habits, but nobodies perfect Ace. And really...she's fun... Besides..." Joy shifted in her seat to lean a bit against the door. "She's the only one that actually talked to me."

Ace's words stung a bit. Joy knew that, Yes, if she had attempted to be outgoing she more then likely would have made friends with some othr girls. As the case was though, Joy was not a very outgoing sort.

"Please Ace..." Joy protested. "Don't lecture me. I'm sure mom or dad will when they find out about Raven. The fact of the matter is, I like her Ace. I don't feel like I have to be proper or perfect when I am around her. Raven sort of push's me too. Not in the way you'd think either. If I tell her something she doesn't believe she calls me on it. I don't know why she was outside the tattoo parlor and I certainly don't know why she was smoking. She's never smoked when I was around before. And black...well...I wear pink all the time, it could just be her color Ace."

When had Joy done anything other then use reason? She reached over to lightly touch her brothers shoulder as he would seem to deflate. "Don't worry Ace. I am not going to go bad. I'm too smart for that, and besides...I have you. You'd never let me do something that was really wrong. Who knows, maybe if Raven hangs with us she'll drop some of her bad habits. Isn't that what Heros are supposed to do anyways? Provide good role models for everyone else?" Joy could not resist the small little teaseing smile that pulled back her lips. Now, all she had to do was keep smiling until she got to her bedroom and everything would be fine.
