Seriously.
I guess the designers/programmers/admins/whateverpeople don't know a lot about music. They know that guitars are cool, as are microphones. Drums are sorta kinda cool.
They also have violins and banjos and ... other stuff though. So we cant kick them too hard for it.

i'm trapped in a burning building Guitars are pop culture right now. WalMart and Target both sell generic store-brand shirts and gear with Gibson and Fender images just barely modified to avoid lawsuits.
Being super good at Guitar Hero or having a t-shirt is getting to be the new emo kid or whatever the hell is going on now.
I don't even mention I have an actual guitar most of the time, cause everybody thinks they're an expert. I went into a local music store yesterday and this guy working was like
Yeah Squier is like the really good guitar... This one is kind of, like, a red color...
Me:
Squier is Fender's throwaway and beginner instrument line, save possibly for the Vintage Modified 70's series, that that color is Midnight Wine, and its a bass, jackass.
I covered my guitar hero stickers. I'm tired of being lumped in with the other tools. but man, you have to see the view

Interactive games is the new market now. Controls are starting to be thrown out for something new and "cool". I've never played a real guitar nor have I played a guitar for a game system. If I had a choice I would choose a real guitar and actually learn something useful rather than beat a bunch of buttons.

Yeah, but it's easier to progress on Guitar Hero or Rockband than on a real guitar. And it doesnt give you callouses. Can you believe one of my friends will never learn guitar because she doesnt want callouses on her fingers? I'm just like, Your loss!

And I think the irony got lost. I meant, that's why most people prefer to play the games instead of learning the real thing. Cuz most people are lazy, lol. wink Like me. ninja

I would actually like to learn how to play one instrument before it's too late to do so. I probably won't try to learn the guitar.
PS:I do have a twin but don't worry, he isn't identical or anything like me, there's only one of me in this world.
