I actually don't think the product really matters with this advertisement.
Joy and I were watching TV and I think it was a commercial for something where the other commercials for it didn't really say what the use for the product was, and this commercial did so she said "oh wow, it actually tells you what it's for." So I was like "what, in the other commercials they didn't say anything about it? They just held it out and went 'BWWAAAHHH!!!'?"
Joy has come to the conclusion that sales pitch would sell the product. I think it would definately catch eyes and get people to talk about the commercial, but I don't know if it'd sell it.
What do you guys think? And Joy, if I said this all wrong to what happened, correct me? I wasn't paying full attention. I just remember going 'bwah!'

I don't know what it is but you're probably right. It's going to build some big hype on the mysterious commercial and then they'll connect it to their product with a new commercial on a later date. I'm pretty sure it's going to be lame if they have to build a hype over it to sell it.

I do want items more when people tell me what they are for.
And don't give me really ridiculous reasons to get it.
So, if the commercial was relevent, maybe?

Of course it's not relevant! Unless it was tylonol. Cuz yelling gives you a headache. It should just be a commercial of different scenarios of yelling, and end with a bottle of tylenol. wink

Saryn and I once saw a commercial that consisted only of two people making out and taking off their clothes. It was really sensual, and we thought it was just another ad for jeans of some sort, because they kept showing the woman's naked back and her jeans.
The entire thing had NO purpose or clear idea as to what the product they were selling was...until the VERY end. I'm talking about one second.
I don't remember what the product was, but I think it was like...butter or something.
It was ridiculous, and I was disgusted.
They're taking sex and trying to make it sell BUTTER now?

Oh they're using sex for everything. Come now.
I always find it upsetting that all cleaning agent commercials have women in them. The woman is THE cleaner and the husband is either not there, pleased with a clean house, or in the background like "doh dee doh, I'm stupid and I make messes for you to clean up." I saw one commercial recently with a man. I was like "OMG, men clean!?"
