Ok, up until tuesday night, last week was much like any other. On tuesday night, my blade-sister Maire was hit by a car going ~110MPH. She died early thursday. I got a call @ 1:28Am, telling me that her will named me her speaker for the dead and put me in charge of the funeral. A second call at closer to 2AM offered me a job. A wonderful and weird job.
JEOC is now an understudy to a swordmaster for a a private training program for bodyguard/servants and it pays wonderfully. My boss is one of my good friends, and I have a room for the summer and 3 weeks off for pennsic during the summer. I'm currently in charge of 3 relative beginners, and I feel like my life just went from weird to through the looking glass.

Your job, ir sounds awesome for you smile I hope you're happy with it.

Blade-sister is someone I've traded blades with and fought both with and against. Closer than my blood family, and in this cases we actually did trade blood. (she needed a transfusion and we're compatible, and I had needed one before that for blood loss)

For the most part it sounds well shitty. The job offer seemed to balance it out though, so I'm happy for you.

How sad... I hate it when people needlessly try to go as fast as possible...

We have it confirmed now that the man had a very high blood concentration in his alcohol stream. He dropped his car down a freeway overpass on/off ramp.
