All the schools in St. John's and the Avalon Peninsula (my region) are closed today. Except my university. They only close if people die on the way to class.
It's pissing me off. What this means is that I have to go to work in the middle of an ice storm with 100km/60mph winds. I have to walk. Or take a cab and spend my first hour's pay on it, and probably not even get there. If the schools are closed, road clearing doesn't usually happen very fast.
