My mom used to own a book (kept in the restroom... eek ) called 14,000 Things to be Happy About.
This lady did just what you're saying, and put it into a book in completely random order. It was fantastic. I think I read maybe ten pages total, cause the format was obnoxious.
Penguins
Surfboards
Fuzzy socks
Little kids stuffing things up their noses*
Waffles
Those squidgy things inside pomegrantets*
*I made a few of these up
