Alice tried to seem unaffected when he called her a show off, but she was actually quite hurt, hoping that Milo would like her. 'Whatever, he's boring anyway.' She thought in a huff. Once they arrived at the lake, Alice's eyes widened and she backed up. "W-water!" She gasped. Watching Milo, she recoiled at the splash. For a moment, her heart stopped when she couldn't see the male, but it didn't take him long to surface. "Wow, Milo, that's really impressive!" She blurted before she could stop herself.

Grinning at the Wish, Milo shook his head so drops of water flew at all angles. When she complimented him, he looked away, cheeks burning. "Oh, erm, thanks... it's not really that hard... just takes practice..." He murmured with a small smile. Snapping out of whatever zone he was just in, he smiled at Alice, tilting his head. "If you want, I can teach you how! Come on!" He exclaimed, grabbing her front paw and dragging her in. 'Hmm... maybe that was too far. Ah well, no doubt she'll tell me.' He thought, wincing at the thought of the pink Wish's face.

Alice smiled at Milo. "That is seriously cool, Milo!" She said again. When he suggested she got in, her eyes widened and she tried to back up. "No, Milo, I don't think-" Her sentence was cut off by a shrill shriek as she was dragged into the lake. Sinking, she kicked her paws desperately, her head finally bobbing on the surface. She gulped in air as she glared at Milo. "Come here, you...you...argh!!" Trying to leap at Milo, she realized there was nothing under her feet to leap off. Sinking once more, she kicked her small legs as hard as she could.

Milo watched Alice fall into the water with a shriek and couldn't help but burst out in laughter. "Gotcha!" He said with a giggle. Seeing her surface, he stuck his tongue out, "Not my fault you can't swim," He mocked. Seeing her try to leap at him, he laughed once more. But seeing after a while of her still not surfacing, Milo started to worry, his eyes widening. "Alice? Alice! ALICE! I'm coming!" Diving under the water, he kicked his weak legs as hard as he could, moving towards Alice.

Alice kicked around under the water, but no matter how hard she kicked her legs, she couldn't go anywhere. She tried to call out for help, but only bubbles left her lips. 'S-stay calm... Milo will help you... Just... stay...' She was running out of oxygen, her vision was turning fuzzy. Darkness crept into the corners of the world, and all she could see around her was black. Except, in the distance... it was blurry, but it was there. A brown figure slowly making its way towards her. But he didn't reach her before she blacked out.

It didn't take long for Milo to dive under the water and hook his paws around Alice. Without blinking he kicked his legs as hard as he could as he swam back up to the surface. Dumping Alice on the shore, Milo quickly appeared by her side, nudging her gently. "Alice? Alice? Wake up Alice!" He begged. "Oh man... Please, please be alright!" He placed an ear over her chest, listening for a beat... Thump. Thump. It was there. Relieved, he collapsed next to her with a sigh. "You had me worried there," He admitted to the unconscious body.
