The young Wish's jaw expanded as he let out a large, silent yawn. Blinking his eyes a few times, the Baby looked around. He was in his favourite resting place - a small enclave made from trees and plants. It was dome-shaped and extremely peaceful, the entrance only being big enough for a Newborn like himself to slip into. "What time is it?" Milo asked himself with another yawn. Well, it was bright outside, so he could only assume it was day time.
Popping his head out the entrance, he looked around a bit. It was completely silent. It was as if the wind itself was scared of breaking the quiet that fell on the forest. Backing up, Milo snuggled up in the back of his dome-shaped getaway, wrapping into a ball as he slowly started to drift asleep once more...

Alice hummed to herself as she skipped through the forest. Everything was so quiet and peaceful, but Alice broke the silence. Her humming drifted through the air, dead leaves broke under her soft paws. She had just had a long nap, and was in the mood for adventuring! Going on adventures was one of Alice's favourite past times. She got into trouble because of it more than a few times.
Alice came to a stop as she saw something ahead. She stood as still as a statue as a brown and white head poked out of a hole. With further inspection, Alice realized that it was a dome-shaped cave made of flora. She walked uncautiously towards it, poking her head into the entrance. Inside was a sleeping Wish who seemed as young as herself. "Hello sleepy-head!" She exclaimed, in hopes of waking the Wish up.

Milo woke with a start, wide eyes staring at the ball of pink, purple and white before him. Startled, Milo couldn't find his voice. Swallowing hard, he stared at his front paws, to scared to even make the smallest noise. After a few minutes - though it felt like hours - he started to feel a little rude. Finally, he managed to choke out, "W-what do you want?" He asked in sincere confusion. This Wish seemed as young as him, why was she so far away from her family? Or were there others nearby? To put his mind at rest, he tried to look around the fluffy creature before him, but the hole was too small to see over her.

Alice smiled, glad the Wish was awake. He seemed extremely startled, which made Alice giggle. It took the Wish a while to respond and, after a while, Alice began to think he would never say anything. But sure enough, after a few painfully long minutes, the Wish said something. Alice was taken aback by what she thought was a rude question. "That's not how you start a conversation!" She scolded, "Here, I'll show you." Bowing her head politely, Alice lifted her head and smiled at the Wish, "Hello, my name is Alice. How do you do?" Sure, it sounded rehearsed and it indeed was, but it was better than 'What do you want?'.

Milo recoiled slightly as the Wish reprimanded him. What right did she have to barge into his hidey-hole and start bossing him around? Still, he didn't want to seem rude, so he forced on an apologetic smile. "I'm sorry, it's just... I didn't expect to just be woken up by some random Newborn in my own getaway..." He murmured. He watched her display in disbelief, shaking his head. How boring! "My name's Milo. It's a... pleasure to meet you Alice," He said, trying his best to be nice. After all, this Alice seemed nice, just a bit bossy. "But really, what do you want?" He asked again.

Alice rolled her eye at the informal Wish. Still, she didn't really like all the crazy customs anyway, so she simply sat there and smiled. "Milo, huh?" She repeated with a kind grin. When he asked the same question as before, she frowned slightly. "Well, I was just exploring and saw you poke your head out before disappearing again. I wanted to check it out," She said simply with a shrug. "Why? D-do you want me to leave?" She asked with a small sniff, feeling very rejected.

Milo blinked a few times at the Wish. So she had seen him poke his head out? 'That's strange, I didn't see anyone else around...' He thought with a frown. Then she asked that dreaded question and put on a big sap face his sisters pulled when they wanted him to feel guilty. It always worked. "N-no!! I want you to stay, really, I was just... shocked, y'know?" He said quickly. He was only half-lying. He sighed slightly, wondering what he'd gotten himself into. This crazy Newborn when around poking her head into other people's places, who knows what kind of trouble she gets up to?

Alice looked up at him with big eyes. She used this trick all the time to convince her siblings to do things for her. It usually worked, and that's why she was so spoiled. "Really? You want me to stay?" She asked, brightening immediately. "Well come on, let's go have some fun!" She exclaimed, grabbing Milo's paw and dragging him out of the cool dome. She released him as soon as they were outside, and started jumping around on the soft grass. "Come on, I know this really fun hill," She insisted, disappearing into the forest around them.

Milo looked at her in awe. Wasn't she sad just a few seconds ago? Now she was fine and dandy... and dragging Milo out of the safety of his little dome. He followed her nonetheless, though, not wanting her to put on her sappy face again, or worse - start crying! As they walked, he looked at her in confusion. "How can a hill be fun anyway?" He asked as they apparently reached their destination. The hill was long and steep, and looked more scary than anything else. But the grass seemed soft, and there were no sharp objects. 'It's just a hill.' He thought to himself with a frown.

Alice started to hum to herself again as she lead the way. 'Not the talkative one, I guess.' She thought with a shrug as they finally reached the hill. At his question, Alice grinned mischievously. "Like this!" She exclaimed, pushing Milo down the hill. With a laugh, she jumped after him, curling up into a little ball of fluff as she rolled. "Isn't this fun!?" She shouted, hoping Milo could hear her. She'd personally rolled down that very hill many times, and hoped Milo would enjoy it as much as she did.

Milo's eyes widened as he figured out what would happen a moment before it did. But before he could do anything about, he was pushed, and began his descent down the hill. Hearing her shout, Milo let out a groan in return, only after looking at her that he too figured out it would be best to roll into a ball. 'Actually, this is kind of fun!' He thought, a smile forming on his lips. Just as he began to wish it would never end, the two tumbled down to the bottom, slowly coming to a complete stop. He burst out in laughter, jumping around excitedly, adrenaline filling his body. "Let's do that again!" He exclaimed.

Hearing him groan, Alice frowned slightly. So he didn't enjoy it... 'I guess that makes sense. He seems like a bit of a fuddy duddy.' She told herself. Seeing they were nearing the end, Alice let out a final shout of excitement as they rolled to a stop. She was about to turn and apologize to Milo for pushing him, but he was... laughing? As if it were contagious, Alice started laughing as well. "Again? Sure!" She shouted, starting her way up the hill so they could roll down again. She had done this so many times - going up and down the steep hill - and it had made her really fit. She didn't even notice how steep the hill was.

Jumping from excitement, he started to sprint up the hill. But it didn't take long for the adrenaline to wear off and the laziness to kick in. He was only a quarter of the way up when his run slowed quickly to a trudge. He got about halfway and collapsed from exhaustion. Looking at Alice in disbelief, he wondered how she moved up it so easily. "On second thought... Let's do something else!" He suggested, struggling to stand up, "I know this really great place.." Dropping onto his back and moving into a ball, he rolled down the small amount of the hill he had climbed only moments ago, before waiting for Alice at the bottom.

Hearing a thud behind her, Alice turned to see Milo collapsed on the ground. With a giggle, she skipped over to him, pushing his limp body with her nose. He shakily stood, which made Alice laugh some more. "You don't get out much, do you?" She asked with a snicker. Seeing him roll down the hill, her attention was drawn to his comment. Wanting to impress him, Alice breathed in deeply, before backing up and getting a run up. She leaped from the ground, doing a few flips in the air, before landing on the hill in a ball and rolling down the rest of the way. She curled out of the ball and jumped near the bottom, landing on all fours and skidding next to Milo.

Feeling her nose touch his fur, Milo recoiled slightly, staring up at the Wish. "Is it that obvious?" He asked with a sigh. Watching her show off, Milo rolled his eyes, turning and running in another direction. "Come on then, show off.." He muttered, poking out his tongue. After a while of running, they finally arrived at a large lake in the middle of the forest. Without waiting for Alice, he jumped and landed in the water, splashing the pink Wish. Surfacing, he smirked at her. "While you were busy rolling down hills, I taught myself how to swim!" He boasted.
