“We have very different views of the world.” Malek said simply, knowing that no amount of talk could ever get the two lions to see eye to eye. He, too, felt sorry for the cubs but voicing his concerns would be pointless. He eyed them coldly though it pained him to do it but it was important to give the image of strength in front of the impressionable youngsters. They needed to know, at the very least, that if they attempted to bring Chaos into Zahina lands, there would those who would stop them.
They have more potential than you give them credit for, Malek thought to himself, for good and bad.

“Miss, if you need a place to stay for the night, our pride would welcome you.” Well, Russo wouldn’t. Everyone knew he hated visitors. But Malek figured a pretty girl like Zalla could stay on his good side… Russo was a male, after all. “Kartu, Sibdu. We leave as soon as they’re out of sight.”

Acanthophis, Zesiro and Boipelo. He knew all their names now. He didn't doubt he'd see them again.

Zalla seemed like she didn't hear him for a moment, her eyes on the cubs as they made their way back to their father. While she had also told them to leave, seeing the kind of family they were in made her feel like it was wrong to let them go back. Those cubs needed to be shown that Zahina was not what his blood kin were making her out to be, or else they would grow up believing the lies, growing with such hatred before they even knew anything else. It was wrong.
She turned her lavender eyes to the male finally, her eyes mirroring the sadness she felt. "Um.....Yes, thank you..." She accepted, bowing her head in acknowledgment and out of respect for the male. "I'm sorry for causing such trouble for you. I shouldn't have been trespassing like I was. Perhaps then I wouldn't have come to make such a fuss that drew the Da'Lin here...." She sighed, her eyes straying toward the cubs again before she moved to stand beside Malek.

"Do you think they're going to be okay?" She asked softly, unable to help herself and keep her curiosity hidden. "Shouldn't someone try to help them? They are just cubs...They're never going to know anything better then anger and hate if they're in a family that doesn't even love them."
