((Open to only to family at first and everyone once Boipelo starts wandering toward Zahina lands.))

Boipelo snarled, pawing restlessly at the ground. Too young to hunt, too young to do this, too young to do that. He was tired of being 'too young' to do anything for himself. He could see, he could hear and manage on his own. His (divine) siblings got to do things, so why couldn't he?

Why couldn't he? The young cub paused, considering the situation. He was outside and alone for the moment. He could slip away unnoticed and he could return triumphant with a story to make his parents proud. Something he had done for himself without the aid of powers. Surely that would get their attention?

The black and snake patterned cub slunk away from the cave, disappearing into the scrub and beginning his journey. What he would find beyond it, only Da'Lin knew.

Zesiro had been watching silently from the depths of the shadows near the cave. Ever since the little chat with his mother, he had been hiding quietly and watching. It had been almost impossible for people to find the blue cub as of late. He had even been avoiding Boipelo, the one he normally relied on.
But Zesiro had been thinking hard. He was full of anger but also purpose. And to fufill that purpose he wanted an ally. And here was Boipelo looking so angry and in distress. Boipelo, the one other cub who understood the fury and frustration of thier position. The one of the pair who seemed to try to cope without anger... Was clearly angry.
He quickly came to a descicion and, with a glance to make sure there were no other lions around to watch his own departure, he ran ahead to a clearing he knew his brother would stop at. It was the furthest they had ever been from their den. And he sat in the shadows, waiting.

Eventually Boipelo did make it to the clearing his brother was hiding in, it was nearing twilight and he had no real interest in trying to travel alone in the dark. The cub found some tall scrub grass to settle in for the night and buried himself deeply in it, hoping to keep himself out of sight of anything that might pass by. This included any family who might try and come to take him back home.

It was quiet for a time until the normal sounds of night began. The sounds of bugs, the wind and other such natural things. It was the sound of something stirring in the shadows however that caught Boipelo's attention. He stared intently into the darkness, hoping to find the shape of whatever made the noise. Was it an animal or something else?

Zersiro stirred as his brother settled in for the night. He stood up and quietly approached the other cub from the other side of the shadows while he was distracted.
"Oh Boipelo." Zesiro laughed quietly from behind him. "Trying to run away from home on your own? Is that really so wise?" He snuffed quietly watching his brother wake up.
Zersiro stood up and paced a circle around his brother speaking harshly. "Remember what everyone always says. There are other lions out there. Bigger, stronger creatures like elephants. You have no powers unlike our siblings. You could be hurt or killed. Even by other lions... Even if they ARE only weak little Zahinas, if two or three of them showed up, what could you possibly do about it?"
This was where he figured out if Boipelo could be turned into his ally or if it were a hopeless venture. He stopped and stared pointedly at his brother before continuing in a soft voice and with a disarming smile. "Wouldn't it be easier just to go home for the night? Where it's warm and safe? Back with... Our family?"

Boipelo's gaze followed his brother, a small growl rumbling low in his throat. "I got tired of being stuck inside." His tail lashed back and forth irritably. "I'll go home when I'm ready to, which isn't now." The snake colored cub huffed, paws digging deeper into the scrub grass that served as his temporary bed as he sat up. He continued to watch his brother, though not bothering to turn as the other cub passed behind him again, simply listening for pawsteps instead.

"You could always come with me..." The idea of sharing this journey with his brother wasn't entirely unpleasant, but he would continue on alone if his brother chose not to join him. Thus far though, the details of said journey had not been hammered out but Boipelo had a few ideas, most involved making their way to Zahina lands.

"I'm sure we can find something fun to do." The snake patterned cub wrapped his tail around his feet neatly.

Zesiro's smile turned from disarming innocence into a mischevious, almost wicked, sort of a grin. It was clearly more sinister, but was far more natural then the pleasing smile he had on before. "That, dear brother... Sounds marvelous. But may I make a small suggestion? Let's leave now. It's not entirely impossible for someone to have seen you leave and followed if I saw you leave... And even without that, they would have noticed us missing by now. And if I knew you were coming here, it wouldn't take much for our mother to find us here either."
The blue cub shook out his coat, and recieved another one of the constant reminders that he was anything but normal as his tail held itself stiff. He snarled a little with frustration and then shook his head before looking at his brother with all sense of confidence seeming to be renewed. "Come on, Boipelo! Surely we can handle the indian night together! And I certainly don't want to see what happens when mother decides she's angry for having taken time away from training our royal siblings!"

Mother... It was a reasonable possibility if she happened to come looking for them, that or she might send their father instead and Boipelo couldn't decide which option he would prefer at this point. His brother's answer caused his attention to snap back to the here and now. "Yes, lets go..."

The snake colored cub got up and shook the little bits of grass from his coat before taking off toward the path he had intended to take when the morning came. From the feel under paw this path was not very well traveled, very little of the scrub grass and small plants that grew in this area of the mountain had been worn away by the passage of hoof or paw.

After a short while Boipelo paused, looking back to see if his brother had kept up.

Zesiro was not very far behind, but kept pausing to glance back occasionally, red eyes flashing. He turned the pools of ruby to his brother and trotted up to his side.
"Where do you intend to be heading anyhow? This way leads to Zahina lands... Nobody goes there..." He glanced at the terrain, noticing the same lack of use. Not even the herbivores came this way..."Of course.... It looks like no one comes this way either."
Zesiro lifted his head and opened his mouth, breathing deep and looking for scent marks.

"Exactly, almost no one would think to look here for us." It was an answer to both questions. "I just want to take a look around. We can decide from there where to go and what to do." Boipelo sped up his pace down the trail, mindful to listen for anything unusual along the way.

The journey was mostly uneventful until they got much closer to the Zahina border. Sounds of life could be heard now though most seemed off in the distance. The sound of birds and other creatures reached the cubs' ears.

"We made it!" The snake colored cub was ecstatic, though he managed to keep his voice low lest anything that understood was in earshot. "We actually made it!"

Zesiro's mouth was agape as he caught up with his brother and stared at all the greenery. "By Da'Lin! There's so much.... Stuff! I don't think I have ever seen so many living things!" Amazed, but nervous, the cat trotted forward keeping low to the ground. "This place is fabulous! Why, I bet one could live here in comfort forever. There's food everywhere and water can't be far! It could not possibly be difficult. I bet we could hunt here easilly! I wonder if there are any prides so close to the border... "
Zesiro pondered this thought, milling things over in his head. If there were Zahina lions near by, being a horned cat would cause problems. But if they weren't nearby.... Who was to say Zesiro could not claim this land for his own? In the name of Da'Lin? It would be a good start.

Silence was the key. Stalking....Slowly. Silently.

Zalla smiled to herself, a paw carefully placed between twigs dead and dried on the ground, her shoulders just barely peeking out of the long grass. Her eyes locked on her prey. Finally she was close enough. Finally, it was time to spring the trap, finally time to announce herself to her victim.

"HE-YAH!!!" She cried, pouncing...and sending the butterfly flittering away as if laughing at her horribly miss-aimed pounce, which landed her on the opposite side of the log the butterfly had been resting on....and upside down, her back legs an tail in the air, at that. She giggled, rolling over to get her feet under her. Raising her head above the log, barely, she laid her ears back and smirked. "Aahh....I see you've returned to mock me. A foolish undertaking, my flight privileged friend." She purred, hunkering down behind the log even more, as if she really believed she had to hide from the butterfly.

She pounced again, leaping the log easily and took off after the critter, chasing it through the grass happily. "Get back here! I'm a mighty hunter and I need to take you down. Stop being such hard prey!" She yelled, though her laughter made it obvious she had no intention of ever catching the butterfly in the first place. Her eyes focused on the erratically flying insect, she never saw how close she was getting to the border of her homelands and the off limits land she was not allowed to play in.

Zesiro's ears perked up as he crept forward. He froze and lowered himself low to the ground. "Well, damn." He thought. "There went that plan."
He gave a low growl towards Boipelo. "Do you hear that? It sounds like a lion! I wonder if it is a Zahina..." Zesiro quickly shuffled himself into the shadows of a tree and crouched low in the tall grass. The darkness brought out the blue of the grass, and as he crouched low, one could almost mistake him for an odd rock or shadow at a glance. His ears swivvled around, looking for the source of the sound without making him have to move.

Boipelo followed after his brother, his eyes widening as he looked around. "Wow..your right." It really was so much more alive than back home. The cub kept walking as he looked around and managed to stop just shy of tumbling over where Zesiro lay crouched in the grass. "I don't actually know how close Zahinas come to the border."

The snake colored cub's ears perked at the noise and he instinctively ducked into the grass behind Zesiro to keep out of sight. His eyes widened when his brother bolted out from in front of him and he stuck out a paw hoping to catch him before he got too far off. Unfortunately he missed.

"Darnit Zesiro.." He sighed and crawled out of the grass after the other cub.

A low hiss filled the air as the feline sauntered home, a large antelope hanging from his powerful jaws. Blood still poured out of its wounds, clotting upon the already matted fur. A strange, colorless liquid oozed out amidst the blood; a thick, pungent substance that would turn any milk sour. Even without the fatal wounds, the poison excreted by the lion's fangs would have been enough to bring it down.

A long, reptilian tongue darted out from the side of his mouth to taste the air. He started. There, underneath the stench of death, was a scent that had become awfully familiar as of late. Cubs. Not just any cubs, his. The sting in his tail quivered as the hiss deepened, his eyes narrowing. The children should not be this far from the den. Turning his head towards the path the scent had taken, a slow dread welled within him. Those foolish imbeciles were heading straight for the Zahina border. The children of two Da'lin Gods would no doubt be highly unwelcome.

The spines on his back stiffened as his claws extended to gauge into the ground. The Bhanu pride lies that way. If the cubs meet them, even I might not be able to bring them back. Fury replaced his fear. Curse you Zahina. I need those children. But other matters came first. He had five others to feed, four cubs and a lioness, and they were much more valuable than two rebellious Da'lins. The antelope came first. Then, the hunt for his cubs would begin.

Zesiro darted from shadow to shadow trying to get closer to the source of the sound. Beyond his own pride he had never seen any other lions, and, well, his own pride did not interest him much. And he had heard so very many stories about Zahina lions. For once, his curiosity overwhelmed his anger - which at this point was mostly directed towards the lion that had interupted him and made his plans pointless anyway.
Moving carefully forward he watched Zalla from the shadows, red eyes glowing softly. Hid blue coat was almost ivisible as the Zahina started talking to the butterfly on the log. Zesiro couldn't help but snort quietly. He had never seen a lion behaving so foolishly out of infanthood. If this was what Zahinas were like, then there might not be a problem after all... He would bet that he could chase this lion off and send it running back to it's mother easilly.... And then of course the mother was probably just as weak!
