Hyakinthos was nudging Xanthe onward with a grimace on his face. They were late, so late. There was no way Titania's family would accept him now. he muttered to himself as he stomped through the trees behind his daughter, filled with worry. If he had any luck they at least wouldn't know who his father was.
"Xanthe, pick up the pace." He growled, getting antsy as they neared the lake. "They've been waiting long enough."
"So what? They can keep waiting." She groaned. This excursion was going to suck. If they looked at all like her mother she'd probably be blinded by their girlishness.
The pair emerged from the bushes by the lake, wings spread wide to attract the eye to their presence. Together the father and daughter, headed down towards the rest of the family.

A large flash of black caused Titania to turn. It was Hya, thank goodness. And he had found Xanthe. Turning, she rushed forward and nuzzled up against her mate, ducking under his soft wings and murmurs her thanks for his arrival. Deeply sighing, she leans down and nuzzles her daughter, even though she hates it.
"They're asking about both of you, it's a good thing you showed or my brothers and father might have gotten a little antsy.." She leaned down and licked a few stands of hair into place on her daughter's head. "Xanthe, your absolute, very best behavior. Your brother has been on his."
Delphinium turned from talking to the other bucks to see his father and his sister. He grins. Xanthe was going to have a fit or hold it in and have a fit later. Either way, it was going to be funny. His shoulders shook as he laughed silently to himself.
Farfalla looked up when her daughter moved towards the large black hart. At first she opened her mouth to call a warning, but saw her daughter nuzzle the huge male. Ahh..this must be her mate, but she was a bit startled just from the sheer size and, was he...floating...??

Iris chuckled as his oldest son made fun of him. It wasn't his fault that he wasn't as tough as he could be. He just had a big brother who always looked out for him, so it was hard for him to rely on himself and have others rely on him. Well he managed good enough, six beautiful children and plenty of grandchildren to show for it. Iris puffed up inwardly proud of himself. It was at this time he noticed Titania turn and head for what looked like.... Ah! He's so... big. Stay calm... stay calm. He couldn't allow himself to be nervous of his daughter's mate now.
Shakespeare remained silent watching Del and Lotus interact with each other. His attention was switched when his dear sister moved toward the trees. A large black figure came floating into view along with an equally floating figure that was by far no mistake his sister's little girl. "Pretty..." He whispered to himself but then thought for a moment as his gaze traveled up the large bucks form... "He looks....familiar."

Lotus shook his head and smiled at Del. “Don’t mind those who make fun of you. You’re wonderful Delphinium. Beautiful and strong.” He told the younger buck firmly.
The arrival of Hyakinthos and Xanthe was one of mixed emotions for Lotus. He watched Hyakinthos with a wariness that he knew was unfair but could not seem to shake. He was however glad to see Xanthe again and he gave her a playful grin.
But the buck mostly held back as the others stepped forward to greet the pair.

"I'm sorry we're so late," he rumbled, dipping his head down to lick Titania's cheek. "Someone was very adamant in her refusal to come." He snorted, eyes drifting over to examine the rest of the family. His chest felt tight, nervousness overwhelming him as he pawed at the grass. It was times like this he wished he had a rear, at least then he'd be able to sit down instead of worrying he was going to fall over. "Hello."
Xanthe was more than a little agitated by her mother's words as she leered up at the hind. "Why should I care if Del's sucking up to the prissy old folks?" She growled. "There's no point in pretending to be polite when they aren't going to like me anyway." There was no way she'd be accepted amongst these girly herla. They were all so girly and... Normal. She scowled, ducking behind her father.

The whole time his sister was with her mate, Shakespeare was staring him down not at all intimidated. At least, his mind was trying to figure out why he looked so damn familiar. "I've seen him but... " He muttered to himself as he took a curious walk over. Nudging his sister gently out of the way he stopped short of her mate staring him down just long enough for it to be uncomfortable and annoying. Then he remembered, "Fish!" The young backless buck that had seemed overly agitated about everything. "Hyakinthos! It's me Shakespeare!" Even though they hadn't been close, Shae still remembered that small moment they had spent together.
Iris remained in the background observing the group just before Shae took it upon himself to be more direct. Whatever they were talking about seemed normal enough, Shae as excited about everything as usual. Iris moved toward Lotus, "Do you know the black one there?" He inquired as curious about the knew addition to the family as ever. "He's quite big but he's really quite handsome too..." His eyes moved to the yearling at his side, smiling at how pretty she was as well. He really didn't see their having no backside an issue, if anything, it made them more majestic.
