Rikku nodded happily, prancing back into the kitchen. Sora continued to stroke Axel's hair and pulled Riku down to sit beside him. "I don't know how to feel about this morning... I mean...I have you guys back, but...Roxas slipped away...again..." He frowned, laying his head on Riku's shoulder as he looked down at Axel's beautiful, pale face. "We've all grown up a lot since we saw each other at the orphanage, huh?" he said softly. "Yep!" Dem piped in. "I just got even more awesome since then," he chided pridefully. Sora giggled softly at that, a stray tear rolling down his cheek.

Riku nodded a little to Sora. He had almost forgot about the fear that Sora reminded him of... but Sora was probably a completely different person than the one he left that unfortunate day. Riku had even changed himself... The day he left Sora was the day that Riku had lost all ability to trust someone. Even with his new parents, he had a remarkably hard time trusting them not to leave him just out of the blue. None of his relationships ever lasted long, because of Sora leaving him. Either they didn't measure up to Sora in quality, or at least what Riku remembered of what he was like, or Riku just couldn't shake the feeling they were going to be ripped away from again. He still was terrified that Axel and Demyx were going to be taken away from again too. The fear honestly effected most aspects of his life. All his good grades, all his club activities, all his hobbies and likes... They all revolved around trying to make an unbreakable bond with someone... "Maybe we should each just try and spend a little time trying to reconnect." Riku said calmly really wanted to see if this Sora was like the one he was still in love with.
Axel looked over at Demyx and Sora. When Sora said that Roxas slipped away again, he got a glossy look in his eyes thinking of the blonde and their conversion this morning... Why did he let the blonde just walk out of his arms again? Time couldn't erase the pain he felt even years later from the first time he had to let Roxas go. "A-Axel... I-I need you to promise me something....." "A-Anything....." "...w-watch over Sora for me w-while I can't.... Y-you have to promise me you won't leave him... Y-you need to protect him since I can't..." "..o-oh Roxie... of course... I-I will never leave him... j-just remember...as soon as I can... I-I'm going to find you..." "..A-Axel...I-I think... I-I think that I-.." "..you think w-what?" "...I won't make it if you don't find me..." "W-Well, don't w-worry, Sora and me are going to find you one day and w-we won't let you go again, g-got it memorized" "..h-haha...yea.. g-goodbye, A-Axel..." "...g-goodbye, R-Roxie.." The words echoed hauntingly through his mind as he thought about the first time he had to say goodbye to the boy. He could still see those memorizing blue orbs looking back at him filled with tears as Roxas looked through the car's window. The redhead heard Sora laughed a little above him before he just hugged Sora tightly.. He was crying again as he just held onto the boy. "I'm so sorry." He whispered again. He must have apologized a thousand times already, but it didn't make it any better. He couldn't fix the promise he knew he broke. "Axel. I-I can't do this. You don't know what it has been like for me. Being apart from Sora, living in that Godforsaken house, trust me a few bumps and bruises is nothing new to me. Please just let me go. You can't make me okay anymore..." Roxas's words from this morning recoiled back his pleas only making him sob harder into Sora's abdomen.
Riku frowned deeply seeing Axel starting to sob and hug Sora. He just keep repeating that he was sorry, but he felt like they weren't getting the whole story from the redhead. Something else was tearing at the momentarily fragile teenager. Something none of them knew... Roxas said something to him this morning that shook his whole existence to the core....

Sora nodded a little to Riku. "We should... I wanna see how much you've changed, how much you haven't changed. I want to know the now Riku as well as I know the then Riku. Same goes for everyone else..." He smiled at everyone warmly then looked down at Axel as he heard him speak and felt him grip on to him, body trembling. "Oh, Axel..," he said softly, stroking his hair comfortingly. "It's okay, Axel... It's okay. We'll get him back. We'll all get him back together, okay? Then it'll be like it used to be..."
"I come baring refreshments!" Rikku said gleefully as she entered with a tray full of drinks in odd glasses. She set down a lemonade in front of Sora and Demyx, kissing Sora on the forehead as she did so, then handed out the other drinks. She glanced down at Axel, hearing him sobbing softly. "Oh, Axel, honey, don't cry. I'm sure we can fix anything that's wrong," she told him, running a motherly hand through his hair. She looked at Sora. "Papa should be home in a few minutes, then we can talk it all out, okay?" Sora nodded slightly, frowning deeply down at the redhead. "Ooooh, I hate to see my babies all upset," she said with a slight pout and a huff.

The woman couldn't make Axel feel better. Axel wasn't even sure that talking about it all would make him feel better. Eventually though he calmed down enough to sit back up again. He didn't feel any better, but couldn't cry about it anymore either. If he cried anymore than he already had, he felt like his body would shut down and he would cease to exist. Today has already been too much for the redhead to handle and if was only about ten in the morning. His whole body was drained and weak. There was a part of him that didn't want to talk anymore about it. He wanted to fall asleep and pretend it never happen. Axel could walk up tomorrow and it would be a new day. A day in which he didn't lose the blonde for a second time. By the time Sora's other mom joined the party, Axel was so emotional drained that he just dropped off from conversation. Riku and Demyx understood though. Axel didn't open up to people. Sora's parents were nice, but they were still strangers to them.

Sora just kept playing with Axel's hair as he felt him relax and zone out. "Hey, Papa," Sora smiled at her weakly. "I guess...we should go ahead and begin the story..," he said softly and took a deep breath. He then, with a little help from the others, told the story of them meeting in the hallway to Axel hitting Roxas with the car all the way to the ambulance and Roxas being loaded into it. "Then we came back here..," he ended, tears running down his face. "We don't...really know what to do other than check the hospitals, but we don't even know which one he would be at..."

Axel, in fact, had just fallen right sleep under the comforts of Sora's touches. Although, he probably would have crashed whether Sora was playing with his hair or not; he really had been through too much today. The other women seemed to be pretty understanding of it all. "Well, to be honest, it sounds like you need to just take a breath for a few days sweetie, you just moved here, and everything is so hectic, maybe you just need to let Roxas go for right now. I know he is your twin, and I would give anything so that you two could be together again, but we can't just jump head-first into this situation when we don't have anything to go off of." The woman said softly taking a seat next to her wife as she explained what she thought they should do.

Sora sobbed softly as he looked up at Paine. "I kn-know what I sh-should d-do, b-but, Papa... H-He was r-r-right th-there. Right there... I...I j-j-just w-want t-to see h-him ag-g-gain..," he cried, dropping his head into his hands to sob. Demyx frowned and scooted over to put a comforting arm around the brunette's shoulders. "He w-was right there..," Sora repeated a few times, disbelieving of the whole situation. None of this with Roxas was fair... He just wanted to see his brother again...

Paine frowned as she moved over and knelt down in front of Sora on the floor. "Baby, I know it is hard to think about, but if Roxas was really injured, the first time you see him in so long shouldn't be in a hospital. You need to get use to living in this life, so just give it a few days, okay baby? Then I promise I will personally search every inch of this city with you looking for your twin brother." The woman said as she reached up and wiped a few tears away from his cheeks. All of them seemed to have had such a crazy day, everyone needed these few days to process all that happened. Plus, how hard could it possibly be to find someone when you already know what school they go to and what they look like? Of course, Roxas had probably changed slightly over the years, but if Sora was still able to visually recognize him, he must not have changed that much. The only thing all this was doing was overwhelming them. This was not something that needed to be rushed. None of them were about to skip town or anything like that, so in her opinion, it could wait. "So what are all of you going to do with the rest of your day since you obviously have no plan to go back to school?" Paine said with slightly chuckle trying to lighten the mood.
