My school has only had a WinterGuard for 3 years(proud 3-year vet myself), and we've done slow songs every year, but the chorus for our song this year gets a little faster, so the flag hit doesn't drag. Our song may be slow, but our work is awesome!

I don't like ballads because they are slow Dx Sooo glad we've done a upbeat song this year. We did the song, "Canned Heat" from Napoleon Dynamite. Our costumes are all 80s jazzercise and our work is so fast!!! I think it also gives us an advantage with the judges. The song just makes you want to dance! 8D
