She still happened to stop and then looked at the sight that Iniko was describing. He was right. It was a little funny and they needed to go! "Okay, yeah! Let's rock this joint! I mean uh. Let's go! I read that somewhere once!"
She answered and would follow his lead and gently nudge him towards the direction of one of the exits if he was starting to get lost. The Bull man Officer and Clara would just have to add one more missing kid to the record. Clara might figure out where Liddie was leading poor Iniko, but that was for her to figure out and figure out really fast. Those four little legs of theirs were headed for freedom!

Clara flapped her hands at her wrists for a moment before she scurried off as the Officer had suggested, to figure out where they could possibly be headed. Clara didn’t understand, she knew the library wasn’t the right place.. Maybe she should tell Lidia the truth? She wrung her hands as she rushed through the library looking for the two kids, she assumed they’d be heading out the front doors.
Iniko fled as fast as his little feet would go as Liddie agreed to run with him, he took her hints and directions well.

Milano could only hear Clara heading off and the quick rush of smaller feet away from them. Closing his eyes he pulled back, turning his head one way then the other all the time while pulling until there was a poink! and his head pulled right back out with a show of crystals following it. He shook his head carefully, his neck feeling the strain and sending out warning pings as he straighten up. One hand covered the back as he finally moved straight and winced as the trickling of more glass. "Gaia.." he muttered and took out his comm just in case as he went to follow after Clara hoping she was able to at least trap the two kids.

Great! Iniko was on her trail, following her pulling lead of where the exit was. She didn't think that Clara was going to be able to catch up to them or knew where she was headed. She had a good idea where the front desk was and the front doors. Though, the rear exit where less people were bound to be was going to be less suspicious. Couple of kids running through the halls? Not suspicious at all, right?
Life as she now knew it was depending on their escape! She had to go for one of the side back door exits! She was just glad that Iniko was after her tail! There - she could feel the exits thanks to her magic. Oh sweet outside!"I can feel the outside air! Just a little further!"
It was through the cracks of the well sealed door that wasn't sealed that much to her elven senses. She could feel a lot. She dragged Iniko even faster, probably to the point where he might start tripping over his own feet and legs soon...

Iniko had been forced to start flapping his wings harder than he ever had before as he ran to keep up with Lydia who was now taking the lead and almost pulling him along instead of him keeping up. Strangely the ground beneath his feet seemed to make less and less impact as he raced after her, a strange yet almost dull buzzing sound could be heard behind him but he actually dared not turn his head in case he tripped over his own feet--
But it was then that he looked down and almost yelped out loud, Liddie was now practically pulling him through the air as his little wings pumped as hard as they ever had before with his legs running in free air. He squeezed the hand that was holding Liddie’s tighter, feeling worried that if she let go he might float away!
Clara on the other hand was still racing as fast as she could towards the front doors, “LYDIA!!” She started yelling as she neared the doors, even though she couldn’t see the kids anywhere. “LYDIA!!?”

Milano pulled a shard of glass out of his skin with a grimace and sighed limping slowly after Clara and hoping she had better luck. He ran into a door and felt like he ran into a wall even if the animal he was based on was hardy against it it wasn't as if he wanted shards of glass in his skin or chasing kids who didn't even know what was happening.
"Only a little bit longer" he muttered to himself chasing after Clara now hearing her voice somewhere ahead but close. See if she managed to hold them down otherwise he will be calling for help from anyone patrolling.

Exit! Back exits! Let's go! She kept running and did indeed actually feel her arm lifting up a bit as she was dragging poor little Iniko and he was flapping and flying behind her. She could feel the less weight of him only giving into more speed for them. He was almost behaving like Tails and could probably lift her up as well a little as he flew.
She had to stop in the middle of a four-way walk path and then use her nose a bit. She could smell the air and tried to figure out where the fresh air was strongest. She did keep a firm grasp on Iniko so he didn't float and flutter away. "You okay? It's this way! I got it!"
She answered and went towards the back doors, almost able to hear Clara calling for her - well. She might be too late...

Iniko nearly short past Lidie when she stopped, he hadn't quite got the hang of this. First time and all.. He was grateful that she didn't let got as she prevented him from barrelling into a wall. He was completely out of breath as he focused all his energy on making sure his wings kept flapping, this was hard work. He trusted her as they took off in another direction, unable to respond he needed to focus to keep up.
"LYDIA!?" Clara yelled as she reached the front desk and skidded to a halt looking around. They weren't here? She ran to open the door and looked up and down the street, "Lydia? Honey please? Where are you?" She called out, they weren't anywhere in sight. She turned on her heel and raced back into the library.. Maybe they were still inside?

Milano kept brushing glass from his uniform and muttering softly under his breath as he finally got to the front desk. There was no one there and after getting a few concern looks and a family as well as some other people heading quickly toward the door he realize he should likely deal with the blood. Still…
Moving outside in an exact imitation of Clara he looked up and down the street but saw no sign of the two children or the girl’s guardian. Moving to his cruiser he started to put out a pda for both of them. Even if they might still be inside, if they weren’t then he was making sure if someone spotted them they knew to try and pick them up. At the same time he took out a first aid kit and started to deal with the glass and minor wounds.

Liddie had a feeling she was being called for, but she was too busy keeping Iniko on the ground as she found the exit. She was too busy slightly panicking to notice... but.. "INIII! You're flyyyyyyyyyyyyinggg! Here's the door, can you push it?"
This was going to be troublesome. She started to look for a stool, a chair even a body that might be able to push open the back exit for them. It had one of those "push fire exit alarm" metal bar open things. She was doing a dance, hoping he had enough strength to push the darn thing open

Iniko had a look of total concentration right now, he heard Liddie talking but he couldn’t bring himself to respond, he nodded though when she asked him to try something. He reached for the bar and let go of Liddie’s hand, placing both hands on the metal bar he pushed as hard as he could while his wings flapped, he used one last burst of his energy and he felt the metal bar under his hands press in.
The door swung open and Iniko found himself hanging from the metal bar for what felt like dear life, his wings had stopped beating and he felt exhausted, even panting heavily. He hoped he had enough energy to keep running though..
It took just a second after the door had opened that a fire alarm started going off within the Library.
Clara tried to pick up speed as the alarm rang out, she knew where they were now! But would she make it in time to stop them? It would be pointless yelling her name now, she’d never be able to hear her over the din.

Milano looked up and cursed softly, slapping the bandage over a particularly bad cut and slammed the door closed as he headed to the library, not entering it but heading around looking for any sign of the two little runaways.

Yes! He did it! She held onto his legs hoping to help him flutter back down to the ground incase he was too pooped from flying. Boy did she wish she could just change into a large thing and start carrying them off. Lydia heard the fire alarm and thought, well. They would be onto them now at any moment, for sure. "Come on, we're almost there!"
And out they were into the world. Her first time leaving the library and into the actual town. She thought it was a fairytale...life outside the library. People existed outside? If he had trouble, she would attempt to pick up him and start getting him to move his feet. They can't get caught now! She was able to breathe in fresh air! No way was this the end!

Iniko managed to drop back down the the ground, his wings drooped tiredly behind him almost dragging on the ground. He was already pretty tired out, but he knew he would have to keep going.
He glanced up and down the street to get his bearings, then grabbing Liddies hand he tugged at her, "I think I know somewhere we can go!" He sounded excited as he almost yelled it at her.
He'd lead her to an old abandoned house that he'd found and was currently acting as his home. They kept to the alleyways and back streets to avoid being seen by anyone as they made a mad dash to the house he was leading them too.
Only a few moments after the kids had turned a corner did Clara appear outside, she was standing beside the emergency exit door with tears streaming down her face, "Liddie?" She called on repeat with no response until she just collapsed in a heap at the base of the door sobbing. Not exactly how she'd wanted this all to go down at all!
