I don't say it. If someone finds a word derogatory (Unless it's something like "shoe"), I'd rather not say it.
I don't think I've actually ever said it. Except when I was young and had no idea what it meant, and my brother kept calling the black bomberman by it. gonk

Rayinte Someone needs to come up with some sort of derogatory term for the entire human race, because then I could just refer to anyone by it and not have the whole stupid "race" issue come up. Isn't being called a human derogatory enough? D: I mean come on, we are the worst creations ever. ):

It's a case-by-case basis... The word only has power if you let it. I've called my friends using various so-called slurs, and they do the same with me... the words have no real negative connotation to us.
Of course, the people that tend to use those words (or at least, the stereotype) usually use them when angry and such, so the intent is entirely different than me going up to one of my friends and saying "What's up?"
And for the record I am a honky, cracka-a**, barn door, redneck, rat-eatin' gringo. But call me a hick and it's YO' a**. xp
