"I guess you were hungry as well" Kivu said chuckling. Several minutes had passed and she had regained some strength back now. She slowly got up and looked at the cub. "What is your name?" she asked him in a warm, kind voice.

Kajji's ears twitched as she spoke. Remaining silent for a few brief seconds before he moved to answer her. "Kajji" His voice was soft and raspy from it's lack of use. Twitching his tail, he shifted his weight nervously.

"What a lovely name. I can tell your nervous...there is no need to be. I won't hurt you. I promise." Kivu noticed the gash once again on Kaji's back. "Are you gonna be alright?" she asked him softly.

He relaxed slightly growing used to her presence. "I should be as long as none of the meaner hyena's get wind of it" He stated softly, scanning the area around them.

"I don't believe any are around here currently. They may be hunting, but im not quite sure. I suggest we leave these grounds and go search for some food as we are both weak."

Kajji nodded slightly. Still alert as he finished scanning the area around them. Sniffing the air, he smelt nothing but decay and dust. As far as he could tell there was no food around here.

Kivumbi sniffed at the air smelling nothing more than Kaji. "Where should we begin searching?" she asked.

Kajji thought for a moment, twitching his tail. "The lands just on the southern edge have food." He didn't realize those where the Pridelands and just asumed that they where anyone's land.
