I did not know you could draw. Drawing well is very difficult if you do not have the talent. Try doing some pencil sketches before you waste your time and money on a tablet. If you can do it in pencil then you have reason to go further with it.

I can't draw, not really...I mean, I've never really really tried? I've found the process sometimes took long...or that I felt I'd need hours. But I'm willing to learn, all things considered with the comic and stuff...hence why I need books and websites and classes on how to draw and stuff. I don't know if I've got a natural talent for it or not...

it's...going slowly? I put up a new art...but it's kinda crappy. It's supposed to be Daniel...
My mom has actually offered to pay for, or at least look into, classes, either for drawing, writing, or both neutral I was very surprised. I don't know which one I'll go into...but I might go into drawing first so Trin and I actually have an artist.

Um yeah, but you still have to have the raw talent. So...well, good luck with it! I would do the writing class though. That is where your real talent lies. Lays. stressed

Lies, not lays, I believe. And, honestly, I'd rather do both. If I'm going to be serious about doing the comic book thing I need to know how to draw, if anything else for the creative purposes. It'll help me write out the script better, and have a better picture of how things will look on paper. Like, I'd realistically know how much an artist can put inside each panel, in each page, in each comic, etc. etc etc. And if I get good enough then that's bonus for Trin and I. We wouldn't have to worry about hiring an artist, or further splitting the profits into threes or fours or fifths.
At this point I obviously don't know if I've got any 'raw' talent. I have a good understanding of the basics, and the concepts, and I haven't really been at it for long now. When I was younger I doodled every now and again, and I've always read comics, so who knows, right? Maybe there's some sort of untapped potential somewhere, and I just need to find a good system of techniques to really get at it.

Okay okay, I truly hope to eat my words one day because God knows I want you to be successful and if the price is me eating my words then I will do so gladly. But listen, I would think that you would know by now if you were an artist. o_O

Honestly? I don't know what I am, if anything, at this point in time. It's partly my fault for letting depression get the best of me and not putting in the time and the work into these things like I have into vid/comp games. All I know is that I'm not a world-class genius when it comes to anything, or some sort of wiz-kid at a certain profession, but I'll be damned if that stops me from learning and doing things I enjoy, even if I'm not great at it. Maybe even if I don't get work for it, I don't know.
All I know is, so long as it doesn't cost me an arm and a leg and a whole slew of other requirements, I'll try to take art classes. Otherwise I'll work off of what I know and go from there.

If you can be this tenacious on a message board, it should translate to RL. But sadly it does not always do that. However, I wish you the best and I know you will try hard.
