i'm not going to use it because i don't give two shits about cars.
it does bother me that it's 100% a vehicle (ha!) for Scion product placement. i mean, i dig that a sponsor gives you money and you have to give them something in return (or else you move from the realm of prostitution into the realm of fraud), but let's look at the quests as an example: the items you got were inspired by the various movies, but they weren't just... a t-shirt with the studio's logo on it, for instance. but this is using the ACTUAL PRODUCT, the thing the advertising is trying to sell, as an item or feature on the site. that seems just very inappropriate to me.
speaking of inappropriate, i would say maybe half the population of the site is old enough to drive, and the vast majority is too young to own, or think about purchasing, their own car - at least new! seems like a weird advertising partnership to me.
I agree with the last paragraph, but I don't see why it's inappropriate to give away pixel versions of your ACTUAL PRODUCT.
I really like the feature, I think it's fun and they did a good job. It worked right away from the moment it was released!
And thirdly, I hate driving in real life, and I hate cars, so there really isn't much of a connection there for me anyways.
