Well this is a note for ALL highschool people. This is from me to you. DO NOT FAIL ANY CLASSES. I am NOT joking. it will ******** you over. in 9th grade I did pretty well, got Bs and Cs but what ever you do. DO NOT take an AP(advanced Placement) class.. I enjoyed the class but it was just too much. sophomore year, I failed English and math. I passed my other classes. Junior year I passed with Cs and one D. and here I am, needing to make up two classes on top my new workload. This BLOWS. I talked to my Administrator, and she suggested that I take an online English class. So I am signing up. So, take my advice, please.
1. STUDY (I don't give two shits it you 'know it') 2. hand in all assignments. 3. go in for extra help (this butters up the teachers, t shows that you are trying and they might add marks at the end wink ) 4. get in E-mail correspondence with your teacher. Talk to them about work, ask for extra credit etc. (saved me in Geography) 5. Be nice to the teacher, no matter what. BE NICE. 6. find out what the teacher likes (in my case my teacher loved brownies) and make them a little something on a teacher in service day and tell them that you appreciate them and what they are doing for you. 7. note to 6: only do this in semester 2, because 1 is too early.
good luck.

>< Speak for yourself... I'm an IB student, so I have 7 academic classes, that are all AP level and more... I was very, very stupid to enter this program >.>
Fortunately I'm antisocial to begin with so I don't have to worry about my social life x3

I took several AP classes, and the rest were either honors, or the highest offered class. I also went to what was considered to be the most difficult school in my area -- you needed to audition to get in. I still managed to get all As and one B on almost every report card. *shrug* You give some good advice, though. I think some stuff works better for others than it does for me. If I study, I actually do worse on some tests. It just depends on the subject matter, I guess.
Also, I loved my AP classes, and I'm glad that I took them. They also helped boost my weighted GPA and looked good to colleges. I guess it's different for each person.
I wish that IB had been offered at my high school... Though my parents would have made me take all the classes offered in it, and not just the ones I wanted to study in depth.
Best of luck to all, Moya

I am taking four AP classes (Biology, English, Geometry, and Geography) and I am doing fine. I have As in three of them. I am going to take IB soon too.

I like ur tips. I have an A in every class (though i probably have no room to speak, seeing as I'm in 8th grade sweatdrop ) But next year I'm gonna take everything AP but chem and algebra. I would take AP chem, my science teacher even reccomended it for me, but I know I get really stressed if I have too much work, so I'm just going to take regular chemistry. It's kind of a downer, but I'd rather do that then overwork myself. I'm hoping to get in some of the plays, so if I make it in, I'll have NO freetime for homework, much less friends. Once you're in theatre at my highschool, you pretty much sell your soul to it. emo but I love it anyway
