This city is a city of humans. There are some other creatures in it, but they are few and far between. The city is of average size and is not very fancy, but it is not coated in squalor either. There are many bars and taverns here. One of the taverns is said to be the entrance to the lair of the Black Knights that were lead by the legendary hero, Niccea. The Black Knights had long been publicly disbanded, but there are still a few who remember them.

Kyrie was on her way home from the market. Her parents had asked her to buy some groceries. She wasn't ashamed of herself being near 20 and still living with her parents. Suddenly, Kyrie collapsed in a wave of overwhelming pain. She dropped her stuff and started screaming at the top of her lungs. But instead of a normal human scream what came out was the cry of a pained bird.

"Excuse me good sir, have you seen a man about this tall, wearing black clothes with black hair and black eyes with a black sword? No? Yes? You don't know? No? No. Ah well, thank you for your time." The young nephilim bowed his head and carried on his way, leaving the poor vendor he had just spoken with confused and dumbstruck. "Looks like I lost him..." Kristoff mumbled to himself as he walked along the streets of Alessandria. The city was not new to him, he had traveled to it many times growing up with his uncle. Even so, he always marveled at the city every time he visited. He was about to turned the corner when a horrible screech filled his ears. Wondering what in the world it was, Kristoff bolted off towards the source of the screech. When he saw the source, he stopped dead in his tracks. He had expected the scream to come from a dying animal of some sort, maybe a bird, but instead, his eyes fell onto a screeching young woman. He shook the shock out of his head and hurried over to the woman's side, "Hey! Are you okay?" He quickly examined her, but was surprised to see that there was no blood or visible injuries. Could she be hurt internally? Panic began to flood him. He wanted to heal the poor woman, but wasn't sure if it was a wise idea to do so in the middle of the city, "Hey! Can you hear me? Hey!"

Kyrie quickly recovered and looked at the ruined groceries on the ground. She was visibly shaken. "That one was worse than the others." She wrapped her arms around and rubbed her back gingerly. "I'm sorry for scaring you. I have random attacks of backaches and this was the worst I felt."

Kristoff raised an eyebrow, "Backaches, eh?" He knew all about those, especially when his wing appeared for the first time when he was 16, "No offense miss, but your scream wasn't quite normal."

Kyrie sighed. "I say it wasn't. Scared me more than the back." She gathered up what remained of her groceries.

Kristoff picked up a bruised orange and tossed it from one hand to the other, "Say, how about I walk you home? You look pretty shaky still."

Kyrie nodded slightly. "I would like that. I'm sorry to be of so much trouble."

((You should recruit some of the people from the Renaissance, they're all really active.))

Kristoff smiled and the two began walking, "Oh, my name's Kristoff by the way." He continued to toss the orange, "So, these strange pains in your back...do they happen often? I mean...does it feel like...erm..." He shook his head, "Nevermind." It was too absurd. There was no way that this woman could be a nephilim too. It was probably just back pains. But still, he found it rather unusual.

"They started almost a year ago when I turned 19." She said freely. "I'm Kyrie by the way."

((That might work...))

Wandering about the city, Edrim was painfully bored. Had this been some small backwater town, he would have caused a little mayhem. Killed a few chickens, maimed a child or two, but this was a city. Not that big of a city, but it was still big enough that it would have some form of organized guard and that sort of thing was a bit risky. Big cities generally had some form of organized guard, not that they really bothered Edrim. After all, while one or two of them might be pretty good with weapons and the like, this entire city was human and most humans were lacking in magical abilities. But regardless of that he'd be good, for the moment at least.

((Sorry for not posting before this.))

"Kyrie...that's a nice name," Kristoff said happily, "You know, I used to have horrible back pains as well. It felt like someone was stabbing my back over and over and over again. Then I hit 16 and boom!" he clapped his hands together, "No more pains!" He smiled warmly at Kyrie, "I'm sure there's a reason for your pains, be they good or bad. You'll probably find out soon."

Kyrie shrugged her shoulders still trying to loosen them up. "I hope you are right Kristoff. And I hope the pains hurry up and quit...or at least not get any worse."

Kristoff nodded his head in agreement and remained silent for a while. As they walked, people would sometimes stop and stare at Kristoff. It was hard to tell if Kristoff noticed this or not because he seemed to not mind. Afterall, he did stand out a little, and his amethyst eyes didn't help. Finally, he broke the silence, "How much farther to your home?"

Kyrie pointed to a nice little house that was out of the way of the busy road. There was a tree in front of it which she rubbed as she passed. "Thank you for your help Mr. Kristoff. Would you like to stay for dinner?"
