In Memoria of Vita ~//~ Games
Remembering You
My Prince ~//~ Untitled

BTW I LOVE critism. Feel free to post it or discuss or anything... if anybody looks here lol.

In Memoria OF Vita

Angels singing in the sky,
Though man can't see them with his eye;
But you who's gone can see their splendor,
Shining light, the path of the mender.

Time will pass, and we’ll move on,
Though no doubt you won’t be gone.
As long as those who knew you best,
Continue to remember, you may rest.

You blazed your path-
Though your life was short,
You left your family
-With good memories in their heart.

You had your share of ups and downs,
Though your love, it knew no bounds.
We’ve got to go, and let you Live;
Though it won’t be easy, we’re willing to forgive,
That you went and left us, because your pain is over,
Good-bye and please, make sure we don’t surrender.
To the times around, help us be strong, and maybe it won’t really seem that long,
For next we see you, then we’ll all be much better.

-Callista Rose Ohtarwen in honour and memory of Uncle Colin Andrew McKnight. 1969- 22 December 2005.

Games

Faeries here, so bravely dancing;
Wings of light, dreams enhancing,
This realm of flight I enter here
Though I'm just a mortal mere.

The trail ahead is lost to sight-
The mornings sun is burning bright.
No sign of anyone, the path seems cold,
Yet night of last they danced so bold.

Here and there among the grass
A ring is found, though it isn't brass;
Not set in gold, no jewels found

Remembering Beauty

This is a poem I've written. I hope you find it appropriate because it would make me terribly sad. Yeah I know it's out of place for the girl who's just made a horror history vampire role play but I AM christian. I'm going to transcribe this onto a drawing of a celtic cross in a sunset for my grandmothers birthday later. I had her "review" it yesterday to see if she actually liked it....

When the sun shines golden at the noon hour-
And the coulds non-existant in the sky,
The birds sing, my spirits soar at the sight of Your glory.
I'll remember the beauty of Your life.

When the storm is raging at the midnight-
And turmoil is tearing the world apart,
And though I may feel seperated or alone I'll long for You-
I'll remember the beauty of Your love.

Again when the day is still, my soul peaceful.
My heart shall be content and my head the pillow meets-
Until my dying breath released, I will remember.
I will remember the cost of Your beauty.
I will remember the price Your foregiveness cost You.

And when I'm gone, this world departed,
My life will have just begun.
No longer will I have need to remember-
I'll meet the beauty of Your son.

The following two are poems dedicated to Aaron. If you've read my rant you'll know who he is. If not uhh well. He's this guy I kind of sort of not really sure of fell in infatuation with, if not love. This first one is from a dream I had of him randomly. It bugged me so I wrote it. The second was written on my birthday.

A Prince

In my sleep, I dreamt of you-
A prince I know will not come true.
Yet in your arms I felt secure,
Not asking for anything more.
As you held me there you whispered
Something I've never heard.
You made me promises you'd never break,
Though you were far from white.
The dream world faded and I lost all sight-
To the breaking sun.
Now all that remains of an unknown prince,
Is the memory of your arms.

*~*~*

One more tear before I'm through-

One more thought dedicated to you.

A shadow of a memory to always haunt-

My heart suffers as my head taunts.

Each day at a time I try to move on.

Try to forget- what wasn't mine is gone.

I hope you don't mind my posting here...

I have no criticism really. Only praise. The first one for your uncle was brilliant and sad. The faeries one was light-hearted and fun. 'Remembering Beauty' speaks in a way that I understand and love. And the two about the boy, Aaron are sobering and poems of honest hope.

(I'm sorry if none of that is what was wanted to be read, and just as so if what I said did not come out the way I wished it to be understood. Either way, your poems are beyond extravagant.)

When you got something that can inspire someone to write, you know you did good haha. What I mean is that I am inspired to write a story...perchance a poem of some sort that derived from two of your own poems. I just recently gotten into the fantasy realms of fareies and must I say they intrigue me quite a lot so your Games one really made me think about it. And for the first one dedicated to Aaron, it has definitely given me an idea to toy with. I have to say no critism here either, I always enjoy a good read, and glad that yours was one of the first ones to stop by, hope to see more from you, I may pm you bugging you since it seems that this place has died down, but as long as you write, you'll have a reader!
